Came here from Portland Oregon and as vegan sushi lovers were so happy. We were able to eat in their little outdoor house, which was comfortable and heated, which was great since we aren't yet comfortable taking our toddler into places where she can't mask. The server was nice and helpful and kind to our daughter. The tea could have been hotter but was tasty and the service was very quick given that we ordered enough food for 5 people! I recommend a reservation since the space inside is very small. Luckily there are about 6 more tables in the outside house. Even the simple avocado rolls were very good, and the specialty rolls were delicious and unusual. The one with the seared inari on top was my favorite. The fake tuna was blowing my mind as well. I've never had anything like that before. I love how they took their fish refrigerator from before they were all vegan and have the fake fish laid out just like real fish in a regular sushi restaurant. Also never seen that before. Yes, it's not cheap - and why should it be? They are providing something very special that takes creativity and talent and hard work. I've never had such beautiful and delicious vegan sushi before! We had to wait about 30 minutes for our four rolls but it was dinner time, so I understand. I wish the small chairs and table were a bit more comfortable and a little spaced out from the table next to me. I felt like I was going to hit the person at the next table with my elbow if I wasn't careful. Overall worth a try. We have only been twice, but plan to put this place on our permanent rotation. It's such a glorious experience to choose ANYTHING on a menu and have it be EXACTLY what we want. The vegan "fish" is unlike anything available in stores, it's not rubbery and flavorless, it has an amazing texture that's pleasing to non-vegans so, really, everyone wins here. The service is above and beyond. Friendly, fast, attentive... they deserve a five-star review just for being so wonderful, but I the FOOD, I can't stop thinking about that deep fried rolls we had *drooling*. Per my husband, he says 5 stars for this little joint that we randomly walked into last night. We were alone and were able to choose from their pre-covid menu. We got a few rolls and their combo. The fish Is so fresh my tastebuds felt like Aquaman sacrificed a few of his buddies. I ordered three yellowtail sashimi, a rainbow roll miso soup, and chicken gyoza. The miso is made in-house, and it is so tasty! You would be a fool not to order chicken gyoza as an appetizer. The rainbow roll was incredibly made with real crab and fresh, never frozen, high-quality fish. Last but not least! OOOOO, the YELLOWTAIL SASHIMI! Wow, incredible, so flavorful, and fresh. I couldn't think straight while eating. I was too zoned in on the fish--all-around fantastic experience, great service, friendly staff, excellent food. The rolls were the star, though. We had the Ronin, which was my favorite, with its smoky shiitake topping contrasting the delicious faux salmon. We also had the Yoga, which was my hubby's favorite. Let's start this review off with what we ordered: Samurai: it was spicy and was good. The sauce was a decent salted dish. I would recommend if you come. Not amazing, but good enough. Red dragon: this item is a spicy item, I think this was also a decent order. Gyoza: this tastes like any other vegetable gyoza, crunchy with a tasty sweet chili Avocado roll: as you'd think it would taste. Not special. Crunchy salmon: this was the best tasting roll out of all of them, it actually tasted like fish. Soggy rice though. Tiger roll: this roll was very sweet but still feels bland California roll: watery, bland. I do not recommend this roll. These are the reviews of a group of 5. These were the things we remembered most. Overall I don't think we'll come back. The price range is about $20+ ish for some of the rolls we got. I think for vegan sushi, it's what I expect. Including the price. But I wouldn't say it's amazing. We sat outside. The tables were like picnic tables and it's slanted. The table was a bit dirty, the chairs not comfortable. But it's what you expect outside. The service was fine, he helped us a decent amount. But he works pretty much alone. It took us about 30 minutes + to get our food. So come only if you have the time.
