Problems ordering food, it took too long to get a taco, the floors were messy (e.g., kids were throwing their food under tables awhile their hipster parents ignored them), so I wrote it off as just another poorly run restaurant. So the decor was beautiful and I imagined the sangria would have been delicious and that is why I went. Well, the sangria was true strong. I believe there was too much wine in the pitcher on the counter. I gave it a 3/5. So I decided to order a pineapple margarita and it was terrible as well. It tasted like a margarita and there was no flavor to it. That I gave a 2/5. The drinks in this establishment felt like the alcohol was cheap. I ordered the guacamole and chips which I highly recommend. I give them a 5/5. I had the steak taco and my partner had the shrimp taco. The ingredients tasted well. We ordered the fries and I believe that was a waste of money. Apparently there is another location in Tarrytown. I assume it may taste better. The staff I would give a 4/5. Not a 5/5 because you have to go to the counter and order food and then sit at your seat and await someone to bring your food. Overall I'm excited a restaurant like such finally opened in Bronxville. The food is good, but don't go in expecting table waiting service. What may have made me a return customer... especially since it's sooo close to my home, would've been "that person". What is "that person"?... a host/manager with authority and passion. I really like this place. I've been there twice recently, and both times the meal was quite enjoyable. It's lively and bright, and reminds me of summer. At the end of adding the extras you've got a $15 order of two soft corn tortilla tacos. Just opened, have tried other locations in Westchester so I know they need to work out kinks. My Family and I TRULY enjoyed the scrumptious food here!!!We ordered the Short Rib Tacos, the Coconut Shrimp Tacos, the Tempura Battered Shrimp Tacos and a side of the spicy Mexican rice with Cotija cheese, sour cream and black beans. I would have enjoyed a thicker gravy on my rice, but other than that EVERYTHING was DELICIOUS. The 2 young Ladies your front reception are very kind, respectful, friendly and accommodating. Additionally, we will DEFINITELY be paying the new restaurant another visit to try some other items on the menu. VERY CHIC, EXCITING DECOR!!! What happened to this place?!? I tried it a few times and really liked it. But tonight I had a bad experience. They got my order wrong two times -- I had to go back twice to get the correct order! And the burrito that I ordered tasted like it had small pieces of plastic in it. And it's leaving a strange taste in my mouth. Something is not right. Hope I do not get sick. As appreciative that I am that restaurants remain open during this pandemic, my best advice would be for some to just remain close as bad customer experiences will carry on past this temporary situation. I would love to say I was patient and understanding but I can't. I ordered my food from Taco Project via doordash. They gave me the time of 25-30 minutes for food to be picked up. When I arrived it was complete chaos in the restaurant as they were still taking orders in the restaurant and also receiving orders via food delivery apps. The workers had no idea how long wait times would be and they almost lost complete control of the entire restaurant as there were so many people upset and waiting. I waited for 1 hour and 30 minutes for my food. Add on the time from when I ordered it, make it 2 hours. On top of all of this, the food is wasn't even very good. I will not go back here and I recommend for them to save face and close its doors until after this pandemic. read more

I am so glad to have this Mexican restaurant nearby. It has saved me from hunger when I come home late from work. The staff is efficient, never had an issue with my order and the food is great. My favorite is the hard shelled salmon taco, and the taco bowl! I also love the way they make their guacamole and salsa dips. The chips are fresh and never stale. I was looking forward to trying Taco Project. Took my 2 kids with me --- one has gluten allergy. This place is underwhelming. We got the pulled pork, fish, and steak tacos. One of my kids hates cilantro and doesn't like the usual cheese. So she ended up with steak in a corn soft wrap. My other daughter and I split the pork and fish. Pork was okay --- tasted like pulled pork. Slaw had no flavor. Fish was the worst. Two little pieces with no seasoning (and yes they are "sautéed") and radishes. Totally not worth the money. And ... can we talk about how uncomfortable it is to wait while you are getting takeout on a Saturday at 6 p.m. There is no place to sit down ... or even stand... without being in everyone's way.
