Never had I come to a taco stand location and they lose my order. They lost my order and we waited almost one hour for my food, despite asking them for updates and one of the guys constantly said "it'll be ready soon." Finally when we asked a different worker for an update, he had to enter a new order since they couldn't find it. read more

In my opinion, overrated. Service is typically slow, takes forever to order and to receive your food... I will say the food is well, but tbh would take my money elsewhere. Parking is a little difficult since it is a small parking lot, but it is Laguna.. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's seating inside and outside, I believe it's the perfect amount of seating[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], I just wish Taco Stand locations would fix their service on ordering and receiving your food. I will say the food doesn't disappoint though, you can tell the food is made with much love. read more

Overall would not recommend. Waited 30 min in line for some horrible food and expired beverages. After waiting in line for 30 min I waited another 15 min to get my food. Chicken was too charred making it uneatable and the asada was too chewy. The tomatoes in the burrito were hard. Salsa bar was nasty and a lot of cross contamination. I bought a glass bottle beverage, opened it, flat, checked expiration date and it was expired since 2021. read more

Constantly busy but it was less busy while we were walking by & my husband has been wanting to try it, so we stopped in. VERY humid inside! Almost intolerable. Food took a little bit but my shrimp taco was delicious. I love that the chili area has grilled onions. My husband liked the carne asada but said he's had better. Great location with a simple menu. You order at the counter and can either take it to go or eat in the small dining area inside or outside. The food is made right in front of you, and the staff is excellent. This place was busy! I got a carne asada taco & my wife a taco de camaron the meat was good I just wish they let it get a little crisp but overall it was really good & tender! My wife said her shrimp taco was really good also! The service was good the ambience was nice also. Seating is limited on a busy day like today but they have plenty though. My wife said this was a good upgrade from the old Taco Bell that used to be here but I just wish they would've left the old architecture from the old school Taco Bell building!. Best taco spot around. The tacos are so good. The salsa bar is an added bonus too. There's so many salsa options to choose from that it's impossible to have a bad taco. Staff are always really friendly too and the food gets cooked fast and to a good quality. Literally haven't had a bad experience here yet. read more

The food was very good and reasonably priced. Long line & limited tables. We got Baja fish taco, carne asada, el pastor, spicy shrimp taco, & surf/turf fries. They were generous with portions, especially with cheese & avocados on the fries. They make their own tortillas there. They have something that looks like a pasta maker except it makes the tortillas. I liked their tortillas & ate them all. (I often dont eat the tortillas as they are too filling. But these were good!!!) They have a salsa bar next to the fountain drink machine. Ankther long kine for the salsa & the restroom. Securing a table felt like survival test. Some rude lady tried to take the table my husband got after asking the previous party if they were almost finished & confirming they were. The rude woman said "i saw it from over there". Some people are just rude & not too bright. She hadn't even ordered the food yet nor her party there yet. She sat at the table with us looking quite unpleasant. I said, "we can share a table & enjoy the food". No reaction or sign of civility. Whatever. So we ignored her from then on. Eventually she moved to another table but still didn't order food until we finished our food and were leaving. (Her friend arrived then). Just be polite to others & dont show your ugliness when people are trying to enjoy their Sunday afternoon. So except for the woman who behaved poorly, it was a delicious & enjoyable meal. We will definitely come back. Maybe on a weekday? Hope the wait will be less then. read more

we love the taco stand in orange so was hoping this location has the same standards but unfortunately not :( discovered a hair in the steak quesadilla. the tacos were good, however. the churros are freshly made however it was a little undercooked for my liking, still tasted like raw dough in the center, without being more airy and light. like uncooked pancake batter. there is a parking lot but it felt like it fed most of the employee vehicles more than customers? [[HIGHLIGHT]]just wished the location was a little better maintained with peppiness.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]not to mention the table / floors were at one point really dirty... and the bathroom soap ran out and was not refilled[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. read more

Not gonna lie, I was resistant to trying this place out because I miss the old Taco Bell. Funny enough, I was recommended this spot while out of the county. Word of this chain has spread. So glad I finally gave it a chance, because the food is fantastic every time, and I've been to a few locations. I go for the shrimp tacos and a beer, but sometimes I'll get a burrito to go. They also have breakfast burritos in the AM, which I don't think you can order online. Service is serviceable. Can take a while to get your food sometimes. Best to go when out-of-town crowds are at a minimum, as there's not a ton of seating during busy hours. read more

The Taco Stand in Newport Beach absolutely lives up to the hype! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and authentic -- you can taste the quality in every bite. The carne asada tacos are my go-to -- perfectly grilled, juicy, and loaded with flavor. The al pastor is also incredible, with that sweet, smoky kick that's hard to beat. I was visiting my parents in OC with my fiance, and we were craving tacos. We stopped by here around 2:30 p.m. on friday, we just missed the crowd, luckily. I've had Taco Stand another locations, and love the consistency and quality and taste. My first time trying their mushroom taco, and I'd say it was one of my favorite tacos here! For not being a vegetarian, I feel like that should say a lot! The Mahi Mai and carne asada are also in my top favorites. We also ordered the guacamole and chips, the chips tasted fresh and we're so tasty you could eat them plain! There's also a large parking lot next to the restaurant, so takes away the challenge of looking for parking. Definitely recommended this spot if you're in the area and looking for some Tasty Tacos or burritos!! read more

Im not kidding when I say I've never had a better burrito in my life. My husband and I had a long day and we were looking for something quick and ran across this restaurant thinking nothing of it. We got their carne asada burrito, Baja taco, carne asada taco, and Al pastor taco. We didn't realize our lives would change forever. The meat is FRESH and TENDER!!! Their salsa's are all amazing AAANNNDDD they have pickled onions for your pickings. It's the details for me. We walked out paying $27 but having a truly life changing experience. I cannot recommend this place enough. I didn't take a picture before because, like I said, I did not expect much but I made sure to a picture after to show you we not only licked our plates clean, I practically licked the salsa cups clean too. 10/10!!!!! Tried a bean and cheese burrito with rice added and a California burrito with chicken. I ordered online and the order was prepared fairly quickly and was hot and ready when I went to go pick it up. Both burritos were massive and filling so worth the price in my opinion. The tortillas were soft and not rubbery/too chewy. I liked the flavor of the cheese they used, it was especially evident in the BRC. In the California burrito I liked the flavor of the chicken and the combo of the meat and fries and toppings was delicious. Would recommend giving this place a try! They also have a self serve salsa/topping bar inside which is a plus! read more

I would give more stars if I could here. Took my visiting family here and the service was quick and extremely friendly. The portions were HUGE AND SO INEXPENSIVE!!! highly recommend the Baja fish tacos and al pastor, my favs. We even got some treats on the house, I can't wait to come again. Calamari wasn't the greatest quality itself though. Service was pretty slow and the servers seemed to forget many details when taking orders which caused service delays wasn't optimal. The interior was decent and not dirty. For parking, there's a good amount located at and around the Pavilions parking lot. Overall, I probably wouldn't come back here again. It just seemed like a standard chain restaurant. It is located walking distance from the beach though.

The restaurant is located inside the hotel, and once you enter you'll take the elevator down to Level 1, where you'll be greeted with beautiful ocean views. We had a reservation and were seated very quickly. While we waited for our table to be cleared, Ava, our host, was so sweet and personable. She took the time to chat with us, shared some of her favorite menu recommendations, and when she noticed us unsuccessfully trying to take a selfie overlooking the water, she kindly offered to take a photo for us. It was such a thoughtful gesture that immediately made us feel welcome. Throughout dinner, Jesse was assisting our table, and he was fantastic. He always seemed to appear at just the right time without ever feeling intrusive. He was friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout the evening. Our main server, Carson, was equally amazing. He was welcoming from the moment we sat down, incredibly attentive, and you could tell he genuinely cared about providing a great dining experience. His recommendations were spot on, he checked in on us regularly, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever rushing us. The food was excellent. I absolutely loved the burrata salad, and my husband ordered the lobster bisque. At first, he thought the portion might be on the smaller side, but between the bisque and the bread, he ended up completely satisfied. Speaking of the bread--don't skip it! The butter, made with grass-fed cream, was absolutely incredible and made the appetizer even more memorable. Overall, Splashes exceeded our expectations. From the warm hospitality to the attentive service and delicious food, every part of the experience was exceptional. It truly deserves all of its five-star reviews. Even after explaining that the charge was clearly not ours, we were told we would have to wait while they determined whose bill it actually belonged to. The restaurant made the mistake, yet instead of reversing the incorrect charge immediately, they expected us to wait while they sorted out their own billing error. As a result, we had to put our credit card on hold and spend a large part of our afternoon on the phone trying to resolve an issue that should never have been our responsibility. It's unfortunate because our anniversary dinner was otherwise a great experience. However, the lack of urgency and poor customer service in handling such a significant billing error overshadowed the evening. Because of how this situation was handled, we will not be returning.

Perfectly crispy bacon, creamy blue cheese inside, and the sweetness of the date. Easily one of the best bites of the night. * Coconut shrimp - I'm not a seafood eater, but my friend devoured them and said they were excellent. * Hummus platter - Generous portion with cucumbers, carrots, plenty of pita, and a large serving of hummus. * Wine - Very generous pours for happy hour. Entrées * Steak tips - Cooked perfectly and well seasoned. * Sausage with polenta - Really flavorful and comforting. * Salmon bites - I didn't try these, but my friends loved them. There were four of us and we ordered quite a bit -- and still couldn't finish everything. Portions were generous and the pricing felt very reasonable, especially for being right on PCH in Laguna Beach. One note for the owners: I'd love to see this place succeed long term. The food and location are great, but I think a stronger marketing push could really help bring people back in -- things like inviting local food reviewers, boosting social media, and making sure the website clearly shows the current menu and happy hour specials. Overall it's a great space with solid food and good value for Laguna Beach. I'm really excited to have K'ya back and look forward to coming again.

Sunday afternoon we ordered 10 takeout tacos online for 6:15 p.m. Unfortunately, our order wasn't ready when we arrived. The place was very busy. The guy at the pickup counter told us we'd have to wait 20 minutes. When we asked again after 15 minutes, another guy at the counter told us we'd have to wait 20 minutes! It seemed like no one really knew what they were doing. I mean, I get it that sometimes the wait times are a little longer, especially when it's busy. But then, what's the point of ordering online in advance for a specific time? Why do they even offer it? Besides, waiting 40 minutes after arriving for a takeout order is way too long, even when it's busy. We would have gone to another restaurant, but of course, online you pay in advance. The next line was at the salsa bar. Of course, they didn't put any salsa, napkins, or anything else in our paper bags besides the tacos. So we had to wait in line for another 15 minutes to get to the salsa bar, only to discover that the salsa bar was a disgusting mess! The whole place appeared to be kind of dirty, sticky, and run-down to us, but the salsa bar seemed to pose somewhat of a health hazard. The spoons we were supposed to use to pour salsa into small plastic cups were so sticky you wouldn't normally even touch them. There was sticky salsa everywhere over the bar, everyone was touching everything with their hands, and half-spilled plastic cups of all kinds of salsa were lying around everywhere on the bar and around the bar on the floor. Hard to believe anyone would actually eat any of this stuff. Also, the small plastic cups didn't close properly. Apparently, the lids were a little too small and didn't fit the cups properly. So we decided to just skip the salsa bar and headed down to the beach to eat our tacos and watch the sunset. Of course, when we finally arrived at the beach to eat the food we'd waited almost an hour for, it was cold and soggy. The tacos tasted average. I don't know why this place is so popular and crowded. For us personally, it was our first and last time there. Aside from the average taste experience, I also find it very frustrating when the business principle is to take the customer's money first with false promises and then fail to deliver the expected service, leaving the customer essentially at the mercy of the place. read more

Both tacos were packed with flavor--the meat was tender, juicy, and savory, with generous portions that really made the dish worth every penny. I also ordered the Mar y Tierra fries, which were just as impressive. Despite all the toppings, the fries maintained a perfect crispness. They weren't soggy at all, even with the generous portions of shredded cheese, nacho cheese, and salsa. The meat and shrimp on top were perfectly seasoned, offering a savory, slightly sweet flavor, and the shrimp was far from soggy, keeping its texture intact. Another highlight was the variety of sauces available. As a fan of spicy food, I made sure to try them all, and each one had great flavor. If I had to rank them, my favorites would be the Matcha salsa in first place, followed by the Habanero salsa in second, the Green salsa in third, the Chipotle salsa in fourth, and the Cilantro salsa in fifth, with the Pico de Gallo coming in last. I had an incredible experience at this hidden gem of a taco stand. Despite its unassuming appearance, there was a line out the door, indicating its popularity. The simplicity of the menu spoke volumes, as they focused on doing what they do best, and they certainly delivered. The kitchen was efficiently run, and it was evident that they had a devoted following. Arriving slightly late for lunch around 1-1:30, finding no available seats was actually a positive sign. My children both opted for the bean and cheese burritos, while my partner chose the fish tacos. As for me, I couldn't resist trying both the carne asada volcano and the fish taco. The fish taco was an unnecessary indulgence, but I simply had to give it a try. Additionally, we treated ourselves to some homemade guacamole and churros, which turned out to be absolutely delicious. The carne asada volcano, a tostada, exceeded my expectations. The meat was incredibly tender and bursting with flavor, making it a perfect choice. Although the fish tacos were good, they didn't quite match up to the best ones I've had, earning them a solid 4 out of 5 rating. The bean and cheese burritos, while they were just okay for me, were devoured by my children, leaving nothing on their plates. Does proof deminish conspiracy theory? Food and service was fantastic although I believe I visited twice not three times on the 5th and 8th respectively but I'm showing two transactions on the 5th??? The volcano taco and currizo burrito are awesome which obviously I had on two separate occasions not three. I do need some further research before removing any for fraud but I think it is a workable theory and could be 3rd party interference just like Verizon, Wells Fargo, Cox communications, and many more have confirmed. California burrito had a lot of flavor with lots of cheese if you're into that and the carne asada burrito was really flavorful. The guac didn't really have any tomato and wish there was a little more guac with our meal as we had many leftover chips we tossed. Horchata was super sweet but loved it. That atmosphere was immaculate and the very concept of ordering a taco from the gorgeous establishment reminds me of simpler times, Times when I could throw trash out my car window and the squirrels would re-purpose it into hats and pants. The only word I can use to describe the Taco Stand would be Orgasmic. The man in this photo said that when he was 13 he saved one of his classmates life from nearly plummeting to death of big bear mountain, how ever the bite of the Carne Asada Taco from Taco Stand made him feel more heroism then saving a young child's life from falling to death read more

I went to The Taco Stand in Laguna Beach on a random afternoon when my shoes were still sandy and my phone was at 12 percent, and it was loud, crowded, kind of chaotic in a good way.
