On a short getaway, came here based on reviews. The portions are huge, food is flavorful. Missing a star because of service. Like everywhere, they are short-staffed. We were fine with the long, long wait time between each dish coming out for our table of 4 (we just shared anyways), but they completely forgot to make one of our dishes! We didn't know where to eat and wanted a place that had fries for the little ones and just seemed like it could tolerate little kids. There was 2 toddlers nearing bed time. I'd come back here. Tteokbokki (spicy rice cake) YUMMM, def spicy. The veggie stir fry with tofu was great. I'm not a huge tofu eater but this was a I would get again. Honey garlic chicken is usually my favorite flavor anywhere we go, but here I actually enjoyed the creamy onion sooo much more. Little one killed her fries and chicken kaarage. Cheese corn was very cheesy, like it should be. Parking is a pain to find. It also looks like they're renovating/expanding. Lots of noise and banging of tools, but easy for us to ignore. read more

Normally I have had good experiences here but today was not one of them. The chicken was soggy and soft and sitting in some watery liquid. The sauce was blander than usual. And one of the chickens had this weird batter lump on it(see photos). Overall very disappointed in todays order. I LOVED this place when it first opened. However, the past two visits have been poor. I always get the half-half chicken. At first it was amazing, but no the sauce is watered down and flavorless. I'm really not sure if it's a recipe change or a quality control issue but it's not good. The chicken quality has also decreased (smaller and overcooked). You're paying quite a bit for a meal here so it's disappointing when you don't receive that value in your food. read more

I can't wait until we can try their food piping hot in the restaurant - I'm already looking at other things in their menu to try! Note: this is a review about the takeout experience only. I'm no longer waiting for the Canadian border to reopen and have Cocoru in Richmond again because we have THE THIRD PLACE. We ordered 1) the half fried & yangnyum (spicy wings) 2) honey garlic 3) cheese corn Yangnyum wasn't that spicy. I've always been biased with honey garlic so that is my favorite (and is a hit with kids too) . The wings are not boneless, everything was good. Other things to keep in mind: 1) parking in this area isn't great. I don't think the restaurant is attached to a parking lot. closest one I can think of is the lot near the half price books 2) eating it while it's hot and crispy is paramount! If you live closeby, great! If not, consider eating in your car and bring wipes/paper towels etc as it does get messy - it's so good you want to eat it while it's fresh! read more

I have only been here once to have the Korean fried chicken but man. It's pretty damn good. You won't find a better place for Korean fried chicken on the east side for real. I need to try out all the other food, but I know for a fact that this new Korean joint is gonna ruin my diet plan for quarantine. And I am happy to get obese on this chicken! Try it out. Solid KFC spot. Got the japchae and honey garlic/yangnyum chicken. Everything was pretty solidly good. I wouldn't say it was amazing or stand out, but definitely on the above average side. The KFC is one of the better, if not the current best, KFC in the greater Seattle area. So good! Ordered the half and half chicken, a kimchi pancake, and fried dumplings. The chicken was excellent. Crispy and flavorful, my family devoured them. I like how you get to specify the spice level of the chicken as I have kids who can't handle a lot of spice. Next time, I'd definitely go with 2 orders instead of 1 and try the garlic honey chicken too. The kimchi pancake was huge. Like the size of a medium pizza. It was delicious with a nice texture. The sauce it came with perfectly complemented it. The fried dumplings were a generous size and had a lot of filling. The kids loved them. Really good and tender chicken, but the real go-getter here is their seafood pancake if you're into calamari. Only thing that would make it better is if there was a more balanced amount of shrimp to calamari. I do miss when they used to offer stews. Alright, my first review back in January was when trying two of their Korean dishes, spicy seafood udon and bi bim bop. These were really good and I gave them 5 stars. I'm going to leave that review alone. As I continued to order more from them, I noticed things were missing. A rice portion would be missing from the order, then an entire entree out of 4 would be missing, then most recently ordered their bi bim bop again and they didn't provide any of the spicy sauce (gojujang). I always tip with takeout, especially during COVID, but stopped at this place because stuff is always missing with each order and it's a pain to open the tied up bags each time to check. So I started to order just one or two dishes from them to keep them from getting confused...nope, missing key ingredients or a dish. Really bizarre. I still order from them from time to time to give them some business. I wish just once that I would receive something extra on accident! But alas, I'll keep acting surprised when I'm missing something in my order. 3 stars for still using quality ingredients. read more

I was supposed to meet a friend here, and I showed up first. When I asked for a table for two, the waitress said I can't be seated until my friend arrived. Her gesture and demeanor appeared rude like she didn't want the business after a huge dinner rush (saw 1/3 of the restaurant tables vacant with empty plates). I understand the "busy"-ness but I didn't understand her attitude with some illogical BS. I decided challenge her logic, and asked what if I was to eat alone. She said she would have sat me. Is any of this logical? I felt like she didn't want me there (btw, my first time there), period! My friend came after a few, and the waitress finally gave us a table. My friend and I had a great time catching up despite the excuse the waitress gave to turn away business for her convinience. THE REAL PROBLEM: She sat another group down and had their friends joining the table later. The people seemed to be well acquainted with her like they were regulars; however, she can't discriminate customers this way. Food is great but expect some arrogant a** service What do you expect? It is Redmond where eveyone dines out everyday. The fried chicken here is also very overrated. Looking for fried chicken that is closest to what you would taste in Korea? Try the Bok-a-Bok franchise.
