There was a split of small dining (adults, no children) and room in the back (family, big parties). I got teh cowboy scramble. The biscuits was the best of the dish. The gravy, bacon, eggs were ok. I didnt realize the hashbrowns had cheese to them. Interesting choice. Sis got golden gate. The egg was bland and while there were veggies in there it didnt seem complimentary towards the egg. Bill came out to a 40$. I do think the dishes were about 15 each. Overall, it was OK but I did feel like it was a bit pricey since the portions were just alright. read more

We've had a couple different experience and this was the first time I went in. First issue we had my significant other went once and his card was charged twice (was resolved later). We did a take out order and the order was incorrect (Was resolved later). We went in and sat down to eat and the experience was ok. We ordered the brisket taco which I ended up with a HUGE chunk of fat in mine which was a instant turn off for me. But prior to that taste was good and green salsa was pretty okay. My significant other got the brisket omelette and got chili n cheese over it and he loved it. so mixed reviews from us I think the location is okay. read more

I had to eat at Toasted Yolk on a Saturday morning due to a nearby breakfast place being too busy for me to even find a parking spot. There wasn't a wait here, though I was seated in a very inconvenient spot in an aisle between two other tables. It was super loud inside, but the service was good and quick. I ordered biscuits and gravy as well as a side of over medium eggs. Considering I have never had an issue with any of their other food, I thought the biscuits and gravy would be tasty too. I was wrong. They were not good at all. I will never be ordering that again and likely won't visit Toasted Yolk again during busy breakfast times. read more

The only thing good here was the service. My wife and I had totally different breakfasts except for coffee and we have now been sick in bed for 36 hours with stomach aches. Their coffee is horrible. The hash brown casserole was gummy, as were the pancakes. Both undercooked and inedible. The bacon was ok, but the "toasted yoke" was dry, no butter, and again inedible. We left our food uneaten. The $40 breakfast wasn't worth a nickel. We will never return. read more

Oh the fond memories I have of this place! However despite their amazing beginnings this place is not as good as I remember. The floor was unbelievably strictly walking across it and the ladies room could've been cleaner. Our waitress promptly took our order - my mother and I were sharing the West Coast Arnold plate with an extra side of the Hashbrown casserole. However the biggest disappointment was digging into our food. The eggs were overcooked - normally the egg is an easy poached with runny yolk and these were hard yolks. The flavors were still nice but not having the runny yolk was disappointing. The Hashbrown casserole was ok but I felt like it was missing something flavor wise. The staff was very quick and polite! Highly enjoyed the experience with them. The food was okay. We both ordered omelets and I found mine to be not flavorful or seasoned well. My company said omelette was meh/alright and didn't receive their pancake when our food came out. My side biscuit was good. This was our first time in Texas and we were in town for a wedding. My wife and I were looking for a good place for breakfast and I found this place. The food and service here was excellent! We also enjoyed the option of having a "Boozy Brunch cocktail. My wife's French toast was delicious and my Cowboy Scramble was very tasty as well! This is my second time at this location. Every single staff member was friendly and helpful. My waitress was Megan and you could tell the staff adores her! So did I! She recommended the Toasted Yolk which comes with toast with an egg in the middle, hash brown casserole (or grits) and ham (or bacon, turkey sausage, sausage) and fresh fruit! It was out of bounds!!! To be honest, this place felt like a local Texas version of First Watch, slightly smaller in size. That being said, don't let the look of the plaza for this location fool you, the food was great, the ambiance was pleasant, the service could've been better, but more on that later. So walking in, we were part of a party of 20 but because of some bad communication, we got there later than we were told and everyone was in the thick of it. But we had our own little party so we decided to slide on into part of that party of 20 we were originally supposed to be a part of. The staff had a little bit of a conniption and was very hesitant to accommodate our party of 6 when they could've just cleared off a table instead of telling us we had to wait or get in line. But they managed to finally get us our table and we were all able to sit and enjoy our brunch. I personally ordered their breakfast platter combo of eggs, grits, and sausage. The eggs had cheese which was a nice touch. Eggs are eggs and when they're scrambled diner style, it's nothing to write home about. I was extremely disappointed with the grits. No seasoning, it was clumpy, and felt cold as if Chef Mic* was involved. Flavorless and very disappointed in a southern staple that wasn't done properly. The sausage was good, and overall, the breakfast was satisfactory. I also saw their version of the Eggs benedict and their pancakes were huge! Definitely done Texas style... BIG! Overall, this place is a legit breakfast/brunch place! And for first timers, they offer a plate of churro donuts. Lovely place for brunch and lunch! Service was exceptional. I didn't care for my meal, but that was because it was just too much sugar. My mom had an omelet and it was delicious! Good prices for the amount of food we got. The French toast with apple compote was $12.99 and regular French toast was $10.99. They also had Belgium waffles which I really wish I tried! The booth seating (see photo) needs repair & this was not the only one like this. The overall feeling...icky. Now the positive...Zack our server was awesome! Very attentive & nice demeanor. We completed a FAMILY goal this week by getting the kids' passports. *fist bump* FAMILY goals over here mean FAMILY celebration and we chose The Toasted Yolk because the Queen and her unit of Queens visited the business earlier. According to her memory, the Churro Style donuts were good enough that she'd come back and try a whole meal. I was cool beans with that so away we went. Starting off, I'm wheelchair-bound so the waiter/staff not helping me move was wack. We were seated in some corner spot and my kids were expected to move chairs to other areas so I could sit. Again, not cool. It started off bad with the mimosas. We ordered a grapefruit and an orange. Both came garnished with orange slices which turned me off. Nevermind the fact that they were watered down. We came for these and I liked them. Liiiiiiked them as in, I'll get a piece of someone else's but I'm not ordering them myself. They had good texture, excellent taste but too sweet for me. I didn't taste the cinnamon I expected but everyone else did. *rolls eyes* Dude, she sent hers back! "No. Absolutely not. This looks like a mess and I do not like it." When she told the waitress, there was attitude from then now. The waitress offered an exchange, re-cook but my wife didn't want anything. The waitress snatched the plate and took forever to do anything for the rest of the meal! *shrugs* We know to separate the food from the service. A bad meal does not push us to penalize the waiter/waitress until you start taking forever, not bringing what is asked, others fulfill our requests. Theeeen, we still do 20% because we know it could be a bad day. I didn't like mine either. The problem started with a lack of flavor. From there, the different components of the omelette just sat there. They never came together to make the meal do anything, have anything, leave anything. I could taste the crawfish, cheese, eggs, pico but I'm tasting each separately. Where is the seasoning? Every bite tasted like individual pieces. I hit it with the salt and pepper; that helped some but not enough. Shoot, I asked the waiter specifically about this dish and she couldn't give me a description or anything. I was irked about that. Why advertise a special meal but when customers are ready to order it, nobody can show a picture, describe it, nothing in the restaurant. They just tell you the names. My son was disappointed that he couldn't pick it up and bite it like a burrito. Sure, it was big but he wanted a burrito, not a monstrous omelette-sandwich. My daughters are fans of the classic stuff so they got pancakes. They were impressed with the size of the things and my 2nd grader swore she'd finish them. (Nope, she did not. LMAO) Noooope, I ain't coming back. I can probably speak for my Queen and say, she will not come back either. The kids? They are their own people and have allowances so they can go for it. read more

Stopped in for late breakfast. They don't have a senior menu and refused to allow the kids menu. DON'T order poached eggs!!! They use a microwave "poacher" which only cooks the egg like hard boiled. What a great little breakfast place to sit down and enjoy a good meal with my closest friends and family. We didn't have to wait to be seated and our waitress was very warm and welcoming. My nephew explained his food allergies to her and she kept track of what he ordered and was mindful of the ingredients. All of what we ordered came out perfectly. If you are passing through Conroe, this is definitely a place you want to try. You won't be disappointed. read more
