I saw a review of Trough's breakfast burrito this morning on my IG reels and immediately placed an order for pickup because I'd been craving one for a minute now. As far as a breakfast burrito goes, it was solid, but definitely did not live up to the hype in the original review I watched. I wish the egg was scrambled instead of over-medium (although maybe that's a possible mod when ordering) . The burrito was also HEAVY on the tots (I ended up scooping a big chunk out) and LIGHT in the steak that I chose to add. Great amount of cheese. I do wish it was a little more crunchy, but maybe it softened as take out. What I was impressed with is that a breakfast burrito is normally incredibly heavy, which is why I made sure to order it later in the morning, closer to lunch, and having eaten a very light and early dinner the night before. Nevertheless, this burrito did not feel heavy at all, despite the massive amount of tots. read more

I have already reviewed the one in Rancho Santa Margarita and it is one of my favorite locations to go for a sandwich in that area. This location is located on the first floor of an office building in Irvine and, as such, is a bit difficult to access, but I will say that the quality of the sandwiches, and the friendly service are very good just as they are at the other location. Parking can be difficult but I believe they probably validate the parking so you should be fine although it is a little time-consuming to do that but if you work in an office nearby and can walk there, that is certainly optimal. read more

Who doesn't love a good breakfast burrito? We were excited to try this spot out after we ran a 5k so we were definitely looking forward to our burritos. Ordered ahead and our food was ready when we arrived. We were pleasantly surprised how hefty the burritos were. Half way through my breakfast burrito I start crunching on eggshells. One bite is not a big deal, but it was eggshells in every single bite after that so I had to toss it. Found this spot after it went viral on tiktok and was greatly disappointed. We ordered a steak breakfast burrito and it did not have one singular piece of meat in it. There were maybe two bites of eggs. It was all tortilla, cheese and tater tots. It was pathetic and I am embarrassed to have paid $16 + for that. I order Cali Cowboy it is usually very good, today it was not good..the bread wasn't toasted well, the bacon was not crispy and the chicken was tiny not filling the sandwich to the edges. I'm very disappointed in my sandwich today after paying $15 plus a tip. Not sure if I'll be returning again. read more

Not a great experience overall. The wait took almost 25 minutes for a breakfast burrito. The breakfast burrito was the worst I've ever had - my free add on was bacon. I think there were maybe 6 bacon bits total. Maybe 10 pieces of tomato in the pico. The "sunny side up" egg was hard. Way too much tater tots in this ratio. It was $12 + tip. Then the parking validation they gave me didn't work so that added $4.50. read more

I love this place! Every time I eat here, my food is flavorful and filling. They did a great job putting this menu together - I love me some breakfast food. I usually order to go and walk into the restaurant to pick it up. Usually the wait isn't too bad and the restaurant is always nice to wait in. It's clean and has some TVs to watch above the bar area. Parking wasn't bad - they validate so just park in the structure and walk to the front door. read more

The name reminds me of Charlotte's Web, lol. Came here on a Sunday and it was very quiet. Since the shop is located amongst several business buildings, I'm sure it gets very busy during weekdays. The outdoor space is clean and zen and pet friendly. Got the Steak Breakfast burrito, and it was really really good. The Vice 12 sandwich was pretty good too (but nothing special really). Paid 18+ for a breakfast burrito I decided to do turkey bacon which they said they have looked like they mixed turkey deli meat with turkey bacon weird.. and nothing was crispy except some of the tots. Me and my friends together bought a breakfast burrito, the vice, and a steak cheese, to say the food was immaculate is an understatement. The second that sandwich hit my tongue all my taste buds orgasmed in unison. The service was amazing and staff were extremely friendly. Breakfast burrito - steak For 14$, 15$ after tax, 18$ after parking ticket, this is extremely disappointing, and kind of disrespectful. Portions are not generous for the price at all, there's practically no steak in my burrito. No seasoning, even the salsa verde kind of tastes like nothing. The steak is chopped super small and thin to attempt to disguise the fact that it's low quality and not cooked or seasoned with care. Ordered on an iPad() the guy who handed me my take out seemed unconcerned and nonchalant, silently handing me the takeout bag, kind of like a "here's your shit now get out" type vibe radiating off him. If I wanted bag microwave tater tots, I could go buy some and microwave it. This burrito might look nice, but it is resolutely soulless and overpriced. Either charge less or make a better burrito that doesn't skimp on the protein and overall effort. The taco stand is 12$, no parking fee, and their California burrito is a hundred times better and more generous than this. Why would I make a conscious choice to go here? First and last time I'm eating here, it's a typical scam SoCal spot that charges hella for no reason other than they know people won't call them out on it and will continue to pay the unreasonable prices because of the area. Avoid this establishment and location at all costs! Wife and I ordered 2 burritos because people were raving about how delicious and big the burritos. Yes it's big because they load it with tater tots. There was absolutely no meat in the second half of my burrito. This place is highway robbery. We paid $28 + $3 for parking. I threw away the other half of my burrito because I'm not about to just load up on carbs. Taco Bell has better breakfast burritos for 1/4 of the price. I probably should have ordered a breakfast burrito based on the other reviews. This review is for the bulgogi wrap and Thai wrap only. The bulgogi wrap was just not good at all. The bulgogi meat didn't taste right and was incredibly dry. The soy marinated egg was sliced but not dispersed throughout the whole wrap, so there was one section of the wrap that had an entire sliced egg in it, and no egg in the rest of the wrap. It was advertised as having cilantro and grilled onions, but I got neither, so it was just meat, rice, carrots, and cucumbers. It really needs some sort of sauce to bring it together. The Thai wrap was slightly better but was below average in flavor. The peanut sauce was boring, and the only real "flavor" was the spice from the jalapenos. That said, the chicken was good quality. Also, the tater tots were good! Maybe it was just an off day for them. read more

I'm an OC resident and I am always looking for good breakfast burritos especially in the Irvine area. I always have to go to Santa Ana to get me a good breakfast burrito. I tried their breakfast burrito for the first time today and it was delicious. I asked for steak and extra crispy hash browns. For the price, it's a very good deal and it's fairly large. It cost under $13. It comes with Salsa Verde. I asked for a second one and they provided it. I will definitely come back again for my breakfast fix.
