This is the best UPS Store I have encountered in the area, have been here for over 30 years, and have tried many UPS Stores. There are more services offered at this store than any other in the area that I have encountered. The owner is very personable, experienced, and prompt in providing services. The store is opened on Sunday for all services but call ahead to confirm any service you may need. My experience was very professional and pleasant. Last week an elderly lady wanted to ship 3 packages to Monterey, CA. I was standing behind her in line. The new owner, a gal, weighed and measured the first box. She comfortably quoted the lady $64 for the first box, and waited for the lady to say something. The lady said that it seemed expensive. Then the owner said, "if you'd like, you can ship UPS Ground." The Ground cost was $33 for the box. The owner knew exactly what she was doing.....quote a high price and try to get away with it by having an unsuspecting customer. BTW, Ground is 1 day to Monterey , and no more that a couple of days during the holidays. The owner had no interest in knowing the transit time desired. She was only interested in selling an Express service and not sharing options with the customer. The owner also added insurance without telling the customer. I ship a ton and know exactly what this owner was doing. Very dishonest. The owner should be ashamed and change her behavior. read more

Love this store! I have 3 small boys and I can come in here and they are always well staffed and eager to help. The customer service is exceptional! I love that I am always in and out. They make shipping, packing, and facing very easy. Not like other franchise places that point to where some thugs and have the customer figure it out. Don't know why this location has a mediocre rating, I've always had exceptional service here. From making copies, using the rotary services, mailing packages (getting a delicate tea set wrapped for a package!) and taking passport pictures-the staff have always been very helpful and good at their jobs! Seriously the rudest customer service...on MULTIPLE occasions. Just couldn't let it slide any longer. I believe the owner (I think)!enjoys NOT trying to help you if you have an issue or question. Unapologetic and seems to enjoy just saying no. The other staff members often don't know how to help you so you have to deal with the other guy. Who just says "can't help you". We get that sometimes you can't actually assist us with our issue but you could at least be friendly about it. read more

I would not recommend anyone sign up mailbox service in this location. I have signed up their mailbox service only two months, they have already lose my mails twice. Their system shows they did collected my mails on behalf, but they just can't find the envelopes in the store. Isn't it terrible? read more

Another visit, another disappointment with the service here. I tried to drop off a few packages here and get a check-in receipt, only to be given tons of attitude by someone who looks to be the owner or manager. It's a pretty simple transaction. They say hi. I tell them I'm dropping off packages and want a receipt. They scan the packages, give you the receipt and say "thanks for visiting" or "have a good day." None of that happened. No smile, no communication, just this stare of annoyance when I asked to check in the package. Afterwards, I thought I'd try to see if I could coax out some sort of response from this guy, so I asked about what they charge for one of their printing services. He responded: "what do you mean 'what do we charge'?! You give me your name and I get back to you tomorrow." I swear, I've tried to give this place more than a few chances. This is the last straw. No wonder everyone puts up with Kinkos, because the competition (like this store) is much worse. Frankly, If you don't like dealing with customers or you don't like to accept drop-off packages, then don't buy a UPS Store franchise and set up shop. I'd rather make the 8 mile roundtrip to the San Ramon UPS warehouse to drop off packages than come see this guy again. read more

4 years later, tried them again, nothing has changed. Not sure how this location stays open. Poor service & flippant attitudes. This is a UPS store & they don't have UPS shipping envelopes. Instead they try and upsell you to a regular envelope + a fee for tape + a fee for them to apply the tape. I already had the shipping label. Postal Annex across the street is where I ship stuff from nowadays. read more

I needed some packages returned from our online spree...I was looking for a UPS store to drop them off and I found this store pretty close to us. After reading quite a few bad reviews on Yelp I dreaded going to this store but I went there anyway. My experience was was not that bad for dropping off packages and I sent a fax (I know some ancient practices still rely on it) only. As per many (reviewers) tips I was hoping that the old man (owner) was not the only one in the store behind the counter helping customers. Voila!! there's another employee to help me out "Juanita" she don't bite. She was actually very nice & courteous, got a good greeting, good help with the drop off and sending fax.... So I can't help but give them 4 stars as I did not face any anguish as other have mentioned. However, this wont be the last rodeo so will keep the updates coming.... Yelp it forward & YOL! read more

You know what people , we are so spoiled with courteous services around us and EXPECT the best, but yes when we go to a restaurant we do expect it and if we go to a restaurant, we expect it as we are tipping then 20% ,or more. but we go to a UPS Store and demand for a free tape etc where they don't make any money and we guys bad mouth them? Where is the logic? I can understand rude behavior which should be unacceptable by any store but get your packages packed and ready to go when it's a drop off other than if it's amazon where they say that ups packed. They don't make any money, yes USPS packages are a courtesy for UPS if they accept it as UPS franchises are individually owned. They can refuse as they do NOT want to be responsible for them. Hope the community can understand! They do not have to take them for you. So stop being so demanding cos you live in Danville and try to be more kind and understanding what these are doing to help everyone of us. I think they do a great job and please give a break to the old guy who works there. I just heard that he had a stroke!! God bless him. I had a very large children's Brio Train Table to ship to Florida. Everyone in the store was very helpful and accommodating, as the table was cumbersome and heavy. Fred took special care to package the table and took extra time to be sure that he was doing it in the most economical and appropriate way possible. Unfortunately, the table was damaged in route to Florida. I contacted Fred and he immediately took the necessary steps to file a claim with UPS. I received a check for the damages within 3 weeks. read more

I'm fuming as I write this! The man that runs this store should be FIRED. I have had multiple horrible experiences here including him LYING about other stores rates to convince me that his is the cheapest, but this one takes the cake! I was sending a small package and I was in a hurry and ran in with my 2 year old while my husband and 2 month old baby waited in the car since he was sleeping and didn't want to wake him, take the car seat/stroller out etc. I ran into someone I knew and they asked where my other one is and I said "oh he's in the car sleeping, I didn't want to wake him up" THE MAN RUNNING THE STORE SHOOK HIS HEAD AND TOLD ME TO "GO KILL MY KID SOMEWHERE ELSE!!" I am in shock and appalled at his behavior. I just had a baby and trying to run errands and keep my business running and he thinks he has the right to say something like that?!? Number one, my husband was in the car. Number 2 the car was running, and number 3 the car was parked right in front of the store! But apparently I am trying to kill my kid by dropping off a package for 2 seconds. If I had the time I would look into pressing charges against this man!!! What a horrible person and awful thing to say to a new mom!!! This store is causing me a lot of grief by not getting my package too the local UPS main hub . At one point they had no idea were it was at, finally found it sitting there in there store. Now 28 hrs after dropping to them, and it's still not showing on the UPS tracking site. How do you misplace a 48lb giant box? Never again, next time I'll go to the main hub in Concord read more

Most rude store I have ever encountered. Attempted to return Comcast equipment as instructed by Comcast. Got harassed all along the way: First they said my Comcast Account Number was incorrect; then they realized after my telling them several times that was Comcast equipment not AT&T equipment, and all you need to do is scan the equipment, they failed to acknowledge their error and blamed me. The store manager is a prickly and hard to deal with especially when he is wrong, and the staff is poorly trained. I am letting Comcast know this reflects poorly on them for picking such idiots. After all the harassment, they refused to take the equipment. Nonetheless, I left it there and will report this to both Comcast Corporate as this store has some serious customer service etiquette issues not to mention some special sense of entitlement. read more

I like the flexibility of being able to have clients drop things off for me and to afford some privacy for my family since I work from a home office. Avoid this UPS Store Location at all cost! I rented a small mailbox at this location because the other stores did not have any available. When I got there the owner was training a new employee and did not spend any time explaining the services provided and as a result I did not have the information I needed and now I am stuck with a year long rental and he is unwilling to do anything to rectify the situation. First, this facility charges more for a business mailbox which the other locations do not. Second, I was lead to believe that they notify you when packages arrive. While this is true, it does not include anything that fits in the box; therefore, I have to go there daily to check the box. Had I known this I would have rented the larger sized box at the location I wanted and now I find out it would have only been slightly more expensive because this locations charges significantly more for business mailboxes when other locations do not. Just save yourself the frustration and do not do business with this Franchise!!! Other Locations are Much Better!!! read more

I was in the store today, I saw how the UPS Store Owner communicated with one of his customer who forgot his key. He was so RUDE! This is not how you communicate with customers. I got so upset at the Store Owner and decided to leave and not come back to do business with him again. The Owner (an older guy) is extremely rude with an Attitude all the time. All our neighbors at Blackhawk are saying the same thing about this place, and have decided to take our business down the street further to another UPS Store.
