Visited this cute little spot in SF, we enjoyed the food here. The service was great and the cashier was very nice. Would come here again!

This corner gem is open early, serving deliciously hot breakfast with generous portion sizes. The interior is bicycle themed as this location used to be a bike shop! We can't wait to come back and enjoy the rest of their menu.

After a visit to the De Young Museum in Golden Gate Park we were seeking a casual lunch spot. We drove the short distance to Velo Rouge Care close by, just a block off Fulton Street (on McCallister Street). We entered the small-ish shop and read the menu (on the wall). There are painting and pictures of bicycles throughout the cafe. - other patrons were there enjoying a hot beverage or a bite to eat. My wife ordered the Eggs Benedict - traditional but with Acadaco, served with house potatoes (or a green salad). I went with the Coppi Turkey Sandwich. In a short period of time the server brought the food to us as we sat on a bar facing the street. My sandwich was tasty - Turkey with Jack Cheese, Cranberry Sauce and Spinach. It was served with a substantial side salad (which was enough for a meal, honestly). Both of us enjoyed our meal and said we would definitely return here. Prices were reasonable for The City and its location is close enough to Golden Gate Park. We did find parking just across from the Cafe on McCallister. They're open for breakfast and lunch only (closing at 2 or 3PM).

Ordered a cappuccino, and it was well-made with good smooth foam. The coffee at its base has an earthy flavor with notes of chocolate. The service was fast and friendly. And the ambiance was more quiet and chill than I expected.

Had lunch at this cafe close to Golden Gate Park after going for a walk around it. If you like pretty small cafes with simple menus, this is one. The Velo Rouge has a name that sounds fancy, but it's actually pretty casual or at least feels that way. Bad thing is it's only open for breakfast and lunch. Prices are also not cheap but they're not crazy though. After walking around the park we were hungry. It's not much more of a walk to get here from the museums. The only thing is go early enough because they are only open at breakfast and lunch unfortunately. Has a pretty typical menu for a cafe. There's lighter options. It's about $12 for a sandwich or basic entree. We each got the Veggie Wrap. Pretty much about the only good vegan choice. This has avocados, black beans, hummus, mixed greens, mushrooms, and red onions, all on a toasted spinach tortilla, and served with chips and salsa. Great food even with the limited operating hours. It's got coffee and sandwiches. There's mostly a deli type of menu but there's something for vegetarians.

My daughter and I stopped at this cute café in the city today. We split their BLTA, which came with a side salad. It tasted fresh and was the perfect amount. The staff member there was very nice. I would definitely recommend this cafe. Looking forward to going back.

Really cute cafe with a bicycle theme, great tasting food, good portion sizes, and friendly staff - Ambiance: great lighting and cozy vibe - Decor: Lots of detailed decor around with posters and bicycle pictures. Event he tv was playing bicycle documentaries - Portion size: bigger portion sizes than I expected - Food was all great, the eggs Benedict was perfectly cooked with the yolk covering the tasty salmon when cut. - The eggs in the McCallister scrambled were well done and the muffin toast was perfectly toasted - the fruit bowl had a lot more fruit than expected and were all ripe - Service: friendly and nice staff!

Only had a matcha latte, but it was smooth and creamy though a bit too sweet for me; I would have preferred about 25% less sweet. The barista was very nice and made my drink quickly.

Cafe's responce to me letting them know that I burned my mount from their latte.

burned roof of my mouth and tough on scorching hot milk in my Latte. Got a very poor response from cafe.

After my first visit, I knew I had to bring someone else here to try it, and this time we decided to try some of their food. We got the Sohn Breakfast Sandwich and Galbi Patty Melt to share, and let me tell you, we absolutely finished everything within 5 minutes. It was that good. I usually don't even like sandwiches that much, but these were honestly so enjoyable that I didn't mind at all. Both were flavorful, filling, and had such a good balance of textures that made every bite satisfying. Of course, we had to get the Sohn Signature Matcha Cream Top again because it's one of my favorites. The cream top is so smooth and pairs really well with the matcha without being overly sweet. We also tried the Banana Matcha Oat Milk Latte, and I was actually surprised by how much I liked it. I usually don't like banana-flavored things, but this was one of the few banana drinks that I didn't mind. The banana flavor wasn't too overpowering, and it blended nicely with the matcha and oat milk. I'm really glad I came back and got to try more of their menu. Sohn is definitely becoming one of those places I keep wanting to bring people to because there's always something new to try.

It can be tough right by the café, but there are residential streets a short walk away with 1-, 2-, and 4-hour parking, so it wasn't too bad once I found a spot. The staff were friendly, but one thing caught me off guard: if you're by yourself, you can't sit at one of the larger tables. They'll ask you to sit at the communal table or with others so they can maximize seating. I went on a Friday, and it seemed like a lot of people were working remotely, so it was pretty busy. I ordered one of their signature drinks. One small inconvenience: you can't add extra espresso through the QR ordering system, so I had to place a separate order with the barista to add a triple shot because I needed the caffeine. Not a huge deal, just something to be aware of. The coffee itself was pretty good, but not something I'd specifically crave. I honestly came more for the vibe, and the atmosphere definitely lived up to the hype. One pleasant surprise was the Wi-Fi. Even with so many people working there, it was fast and reliable, and I didn't have any issues. I didn't get to try the food this visit, but I'd definitely come back to give it a shot. Next time I'll bring a friend so we can grab our own table, since seating gets pretty tight. Overall, it's a great spot if you're looking for a cozy café to work or catch up with someone. Just be prepared for limited parking, communal seating if you're solo, and know that the experience is more about the atmosphere than the coffee itself.

But Katsu is really becoming the new hype of the day for Japanese food, following the Sushi, Ramen, Japanese Curry, Katsu trend. So I came in with a critical view. I feel like Yoshoku in general may be next but I yet again digress. The box sandwich came in a cute little box. The inside was packed so I couldn't get a chance to fully appreciate the cafe, but the service was nice though the pay line may have moved slower than hoped. I'll say this. This is "the" best katsu sando in the bay. The katsu is crispy, but little on the softer side. But this hardness matches perfectly with the absolutely tender, soft, juicy pork wrapped inside. I'm looking at the menu again and it all makes sense. The pork has been in shio koji, making the meat ever so tender while adding the subtle but complicated marinated flavor. The cabbage is plenty, but not over packed to take away from the main Katsu flavor. What really perfects it for me, was not only the sweet and savory katsu sauce, but the mayo with dash of I think a karashi mustard. That slight tingle, the perfect kick gives a powerful awakening of flavor that really sets the it apart. This is art, an artisan. Culinary art is the refuge no raging rampant AI slop "art" can ever hope to touch. Until the day we get some cyborg implant to our brain into gustatory, olfactory functions. Even then, I don't think any tasteless tech bro are hopeless to create anything unique or beautiful.
