Our ghost tour meeting point was in the voodoo lounge bar. They have a special buy one get one free Hurricane for people who's in the tour. The drink was great, bartender was awesome. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Atmosphere was dark and mysterious[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great bar in a quieter part of downtown -- right at the edge of a huge park.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We came by as we did a ghost tour, where this was the meeting spot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a great spot -- decorated to be spooky![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Super cheap and delicious drinks. We tried the hurricane here, and got a BOGO for $14! The drink was strong and quite sweet. It came in a cup that you got to keep -- which made for a nice and easy souvenir. Service was fast and friendly.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This dive bar is a little too grungey for my taste, but it's a personal thing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The bartender was really sassy to one of the customers, calling them out publicly for not knowing where to order. It wasn't even directed at me, but I felt a bit of secondhand embarrassment for the customer. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Just kind of not my vibe because I found it a bit mean spirited even though it may have been lighthearted.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Hurricane comes out of giant dispensers. We were only here because it was a meeting point for the French Quarter Phantoms tour, and I will say the BOGO hurricanes deal was nice.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Cool dive bar in NOLA.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We only happened to find it because a meetup for a ghost walking tour was there. The bartender was insanely fast and accurate. They don't serve food, only beers, wines, cocktails and of course, Hurricanes!

Like others have mentioned, this is pretty much a small, hole in the wall dive bar located across from Louis Armstrong Park. While waiting for a tour to start, my husband and I got some drinks and met some cool people. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is really chill, queer-friendly, the bartender was attentive and quick, and the walls have pretty cool features/decor to check out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Important to note: no food, just drinks. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My only complaint was the not great condition of the bathroom (really wet..a bit gross), but honestly..it's pretty typical for a busy bar like this.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Wolfy was an AMAZING tour guide! his energy was unmatched, my friends and i had a great time regardless of the rain :) would recommend!

A fine little dive bar outside of Armstrong Park. Cold drinks and a place to get out of the sun and heat. Your standard beer and cocktails; the Cucumber Gose hit the spot. Budget friendly. Check out the wall art in the back room for a little voodoo vibe.

Cool place. Bartenders were friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend. They have a watermelon container filled with a watermelon drink which was excellent.

Fun place to start out in for the ghost tours. The tour and bar were organized. The buy one get one hurricanes were worth it if you like spiced rum. The drinks come in souvenir cups.

2-for-1 hurricanes before the ghost and vampire tour.

This was the meeting spot before a ghost and vampire tour. I arrived an hour before to take advantage of the two-for-one hurricane deal prior to. The bartender (I wish I remembered his name) was awesome! Very friendly and personable, and he even thought to wait to put ice in my second hurricane until tour time so that it wouldn't water down before and gave me fresh ice right before leaving. The bar is pretty small. There were a few poker machines and a tv. I'd stop by again if ever in the area just for the great service I had.

I went to the voodoo lounge to kill time before the cemetery tour, and got there a bit earlier than usual.

From the moment we walked in, the experience felt uncomfortable and unwelcoming. I was briefly recording outside when the door staff told me no videos or pictures were allowed inside the bar--totally fine, no issue with that. Once we walked in, the bartender immediately told us we needed to buy drinks if we wanted to be there. That was already the plan, so the comment felt unnecessary but we brushed it off. Things escalated when one person in our group was simply texting on her phone. The bartender lowered the music and yelled over the mic that no pictures or videos were allowed. We were not taking photos or videos at all. Meanwhile, the door staff continued staring at us as if we were doing something wrong. If they didn't want our business, they should have simply turned us away at the door instead of wasting our time. Overall, the staff came across as rude and overly aggressive for no reason. The atmosphere felt tense and uninviting, which is not what you expect when visiting a new place. Plenty of other bars nearby where you're treated kindly--this just wasn't one of them.
