Everything here is delicious and perfectly flavored and cooked. We came here for lunch on a weekday on a cold day as a large group and they were able to seat us right away. Service was great and food was even better. We ordered wings, tomato bisque, the Texan sandwich, Grilled cheezy, and breakfast items like the Eggs malibu and the big breakfast with bacon (I forgot what it was called). The tomato bisque is vegan and it was great. Wings were nicely seasoned. Eggs malibu was delicious and even the tomato sauce was good. The brisket has a nice smokey flavor and the fries were so perfect from the texture to the flavor. Everybody on my table finished all the food. The waiter Rich was amazing! Exceptional service! The ambiance was relaxed casual and this place was busy but the service was fast! The decor was country cottage or cabin style. Tables were big and seats were cozy. We came in with a party of 6 very hungry people who were excited to have breakfast and we were not disappointed, in fact we arrived at 2PM and thankfully breakfast was still being served. We had such a long road trip and hadn't eaten. I highly recommend if you like HUGE meals come here! Three of us ordered The Kitchen Sink! And, I got mine with avocado. It's a delicious hash style breakfast with smoked bacon, ham and these delicious sausages! Yum! We ordered so much food! Our waiter Rich was absolutely fantastic! We stopped in here on a Sunday evening. The restaurant was busy but we were seated right away. There were many diners sitting on the patio outside that we noticed came inside as the sun started to set. The food was very good and came out promptly. The service was also very good as we were checked on often by Edgar. We thought the prices were very reasonable ($18 for a Rueben) for a tourist town. The only negative would be the parking. The Warming Hut is closest to the Red Line #9. The service is great - everyone here is so nice. I was able to grab table by the fireplace. Good place to rest and fuel up in Mammoth. For the food: The Prime Rib Sando hits the spot and limited to how much they have on-hand from the night before. Good place to grab some breakfast before hitting the slopes. I had the breakfast burrito with avocado. Tasty and fresh! They put plenty of avocado in it which was nice. I actually could taste it when biting down into the burrito. The pico turned out to be more of a salsa than a traditional pico which was nice. As for the service, I got my order to go so my interactions with the server who was helping me was minimal. Friendly and efficient--couldn't ask for anything more for a takeout order. Arrived at 4:30 and the waitress was laying on the waiting area bench cushions looking at her phone.. got seated and then 15 minutes later we had to go find our waitress to take our order.. when the food came the soup was cold and the French fries were completely burnt to black.. terrible experience!.. to top it off we were overcharged for our meal!...also if you have a mold sensitivity stay clear of this place.. it reeks of mold in the entryway and bathrooms.. what a mess! Love this place I always come here when I'm in town however, I was disappointed this time. My pancake was not cooked all the way, there was still uncooked batter in the middle of the pancake. The Warming Hut has been in Mammoth for a very long, which is hard for a town that thrives on mostly seasonal business. Every time I come to Mammoth, this place takes forever to get in, so I've never gone. That being said, I'm up here on my anniversary and we were lucky enough to get in without a wait and yes, we were not disappointed. The food was extremely quick and good quality. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable. And the ambiance was warm, cozy, and overall inviting. I can understand now why the wait is so long, the place is tiny but super cozy!! They also open at 9 and have cocktails too! This may seem odd to hear since most people don't drink that early but when you get up at 330 to drive to Mammoth and you finally arrive then you want definitely want a cocktail. The food is so good you can tell everything is homemade, you can taste the freshness in the food and they had fresh squeezed OJ! You know the restaurant is going to be good when they have fresh OJ! Pretty solid spot in Mammoth for some cozy eating. Food is pretty heavy but tasty. I got the Grilled Cheezy with brisket and cup of Tomato Bisque. The Grilled Cheezy was really good but a bit on the greasier side. I would have also liked the bread to be a little more toasted. The tomato bisque was actually pretty incredible. We have been in town for the weekend and eaten at a few different establishments. They were all ok, but I just hadn't felt like I found a place with good flavors and fresh food. So our last night in town we gave the Warming Hut a try and it did not disappoint! The brussel sprout appetizer was amazing with a combination of sweet and a little heat. And a good size portion! My wife and I are both vegetarian and had the three cheese grilled cheese with their tomato soup and added avocado, grilled onion and fresh tomato to the sandwich. It was amazing! Our daughter loved the chicken Marsala and our son was happy to just get a couple waffles with whipped cream and maple syrup. The place seems a bit like a diner, but at $19 for the checking and waffles my expectations went up a bit. It seemed like the both the waffles and chicken were reheated, tasted ok but kinda soggy and not that warm or crispy. The chicken were boneless thighs, which I liked, but they were a bit small.
