There are several pools inclosed in this one area...And it seems they have the right mix of people working here...... employees are very friendly & outgoing...They also have activities throughout the day... ..the Servers seem to stay on top of orders and deliveries.... While I was here they had a Aqua exercise class.... it was at least 45 minutes long and (Benjamin) did not give any time outs....The pool was full of people..... Next they played "Name that tune" ..... Anyway, if your looking for interaction this is the pool..... if your looking to read a book there is a quiet pool around the corner.... read more

The pools here are fantastic. Lots of kids, water slides, amazing family pool, small but warm hot tub. Probably around 103-104 degrees. Our cabana server was great. One lapse is that it took 45 minutes for a tub of high water seltzers but it was fine. Went down to pool at 10:45am. We bought 2 cabanas but they weren't next to each other. I said can I add extra finances so they can be next to each other? We have 18 people + kids. She said no, I'm sorry. Wife went down there and got it straightened out in 3 minutes. Another pool incident. I was rotating kids up for naps for 3 hours. I finally wanted my first beer after our friends have been having mimosas and margaritas. This bitch at the bar said what do you want? I said I want a drink she said name and room number. I said I want to pay with my card. She said no, you need to go through your server (as there are other people sitting solo at the bar with their beer looking at the bitch.) I said fine, can I get a beer? She said no, the taps are broken, go upstairs. read more

My husband and I have enjoyed the Water's Edge for over 20 years, but after our experience last week we will not be returning. I ordered the fish tacos, and I could not eat them. The fish was grayish and tasted old. My husband ordered the cheese quesidilla which was simply a tortilla with a very limited amount of cheese - not even covering the whole tortilla. It did come with individual condiments of quacamole, sour cream & salsa. We each ordered a savignon blanc which came in cans. The bill for this disappointing meal was over $70. The next day we went to a different restaurant and had a beautifully prepared and served meal for under $50. Both the food and the service at Water's Edge was a shock afer many years of enjoyment. Ok place to grab food to go or by the pool. The bartenders are all so kind! They have a good selection of drinks, food and even ice cream The shrimp tacos I would skip. You only get two shrimp per taco and they aren't the best flavor wise. It's tons of layers of batter on a tiny shrimp. The grilled mahi tacos however were great! Cooked well and so much fish! They have a tiny bit of spice to them so if that's not your thing I would recommend having them put the sauce on the side. The salsa that comes with the chips and salsa is absolutely terrible. It's a green salsa. It has a heavy green tomato taste. But it's like the tomato is old. Zero spice. Very bland. It's just bad. Don't order it. We subbed fries for ours. But do note that fries are an up charge of $2. Even on kids meals My son loved the kids burger. It actually looked pretty good in my opinion and it's the size of a normal burger. If you're craving a burger, order the kids one and just add stuff to it! It'll be cheaper than getting the regular one! Overall ok place to eat if you don't want to leave property. read more

Awesome restaurant at the Palmeras pool in the Marriott villas. Great selection of options to eat poolside with staff taking orders and bringing food/drinks right to you. Their Baja fish tacos and the turkey wrap are super good. Add avocado to the wrap! They also have a great selection of kids meals and cocktails. Great place to order from at the Palmeras Pool at the Marriott Villas II. We ordered the chicken strips with fries and loved it. Great shareable portion with a reasonable price. Solid pool bar with typical bar food and healthy options. You can eat at the bar or at your lounge chair. My family and I choose to eat at the bar before laying out by the pool. I ordered the grilled mahi mahi tacos, which comes with fries. You have he option to substitute for fruit or onion rings. The grill is very quick. The food isn't heavy so we were able to lay out by the pool without feeling overly full. Everyone here is so friendly. This is located in the main pool area in Marriott Desert Villa's II !!! They have a full bar with plenty of mixed drinks (with signature drinks of the tropical variety) and beer beer on draft. In addition to the bar they offer a full menu of appetizers, sandwiches and a kids menu. It is very nice having full service dinning by the pool, the servers will bring drinks and food to you poolside. The bar is lined with airizona misters and a few table so you can stay cool during the hot months. read more

Came here for a small vacation with my girlfriend. We ordered some drinks and Nachos while by the pool. The pool area is nice but the drinks barely tasted like there was any alcohol at all, and when we got the Nachos they were cold and tasted like they were out of a can. We had pool-side lunch at The Waters Edge on a Thursday. It's a very nice setting with pool-side bar-height as well as regular height tables and counter stools. Some tables have umbrellas, but it was overcast today and we didn't need one. The menu is fairly diverse for a very casual place like this. The prices are about what you'd expect from a Marriott facility ($9 for a hot dog, etc.). My wife had previously eaten in the condo and just had a glass of chardonnay while I had a Cobb Salad. My salad came in a clear plastic container and it was so-so at best. Our server, Kernan B., was friendly and courteous. I don't think I'd recommend The Waters Edge for fine dining, but as a pool area snack place, it's okay. read more

We had drinks and lunch here four afternoons and each time good was excellent and reasonably priced. Great chicken sandwiches and cheeseburgers.
