This company estimated my moving under 800$ for 1 bed 1 bath, and then without my consent took 2200$ from my back account including required 250$ deposit when I picked cash only as payment option. During several calls (which were recorded) company during estimation process said that there will be no extra charges for wrapping/packing materials. But in final statement they put over 1000$ total of swapping paper/boxes/bubble wrap etc. They damaged my bed, coffee table, patio chair and makeup vanity and estimated all these as 200$ worth of damage. My parents hired this company to move into a retirement community. They were quoted at $1700. The day of the move, the movers left halfway through the job, abandoning half of my parents belongings at their old house. They said they would be back in the morning, but they never came back. Moreover, they charged my parents credit card $3702.00 without authorization. My mom called me hysterically crying and I had to drive to her to calm her down. The next day (today as I'm writing this) we had to cancel carpet cleaning, get an extension at the old house, and hire new movers who only had time for furniture, which meant we spent the whole day shuttling things to the new house in our cars. My parents have lost a lot money and they are too old to be moving heavy items themselves the way that they are. Also, the movers left all of their moving supplies at my parents new house. They didn't unwrap and assemble any furniture, leaving them high and dry. My parents are having to sleep on the sofa. I can't believe that the men this company hired did this to an elderly couple. Just awful.  I called this morning and spoke to customer service. They told me they were going to call the movers about finishing the job today, and call us back, but they never did. No one called back and no one came back. I hope and pray that the company will do the right thing issue some sort of refund to my parents after the nightmare that these men put our family through.  They are out so much money because they left without finishing. Hau and Jesse were absolutely phenomenal. No words can describe how amazing the experience was with these two men. They spent hours ensuring the completeness of the job with a great attitude. I appreciated them. However, I must mention that booking this job and dispatch folks were not helpful. DO NOT use this company. I was quoted a reasonable price up front. Then they came and when it was time to pay they added fees that wasn't in the quote plus charged me more than double the amount quoted after a complete survey of the job. They also completely mis informed me on my dates needed to move and had to pay overnight fee because they couldn't unload my stuff on time. Basically load 4 chairs, 1 buffet table, 2 chairs, small coffee table , small end unit to storage then picked up I set of double mattress bed, side table. All we're already wrapped. However once I got to the move back to me from the storage back to my home, I realize many of the items that I had moved and cherished were destroyed. Additionally, for several items are stolen. They also told her the man she spoke to on the phone, who gave her the quote of $329, was not the person she should have spoken to when she called for a quote. Again WTF?! Why is the person who is allegedly the wrong person to speak to about quotes answering the phone? How is the customer supposed to know any different? Worst moving experience I've ever had. I have moved many times in my life, and have not encountered this type of deceit or horrible customer service before. I will try to keep this brief. we were quoted almost $200 less than what our final cost was. our movers took a little over two hours to move our things so we thought we would be charged for the 3 hour minimum. nope. we were charged for 4 hours. we were not told in advance that it included the drive for the movers which they claimed took 45 minutes, but the location is only 25 minutes away. we were charged additionally for the truck and the movers. This company lied about the labor time as well and claimed they arrived 30 minutes before they did and claimed they finished later than they did as well. my sister and I had to go get additional cash out of our accounts after they finished the move, because they lied multiple times about the cost. we also gave extra cash and we're still charged an additional amount without authorization to our credit card the day after with no email, no notice. we were not given an itemized bill, or a place to leave a review. multiple things were broken in our move and the movers made weird remarks about our things and move the entire process which was wildly uncomfortable. not only that, but we tried to get refunded for the amount they overcharged us, and they refused. will be submitting review to the BBB. do yourself a favor and use a different company. horrible service. bait and switch and then some read more

Awesome I love using a moving company who completely scammed me. The job took 6.5 hours. They called me telling me it was an 11 hour job and that they were going to charge me $1800. I disagreed and told him I will only pay the 6.5 hour charge. They told me the movers will not leave without me paying.Tell me why my card now has six different charges of multiple different amounts. One being $1938, one being $500, one being $1200 and another being $1400. Also, cash that I had in my purse is missing. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. finally finished moving to new home and have a moment to post a review. This company is called Move Central. At first they keep on calling me and lure me into cheap rate and promise for a 2 bedroom apt. the rate would be $134/hour at cash rate (credit card is $169/hr) and they estimate the move to take 3 hours which adds up to about $470 + insurance that will pay for any damage Good deal right? They sent two guys. One is hard working and the other (Anthony) is OK but he said he has knee injury buy promise to keep up and work fast. During the move, they took about two 15 min breaks and worked so slow that it took them 8 hours to finish. Near the end of the move they, they damaged my wall and an $1800 fridge. Anthony took some pictures and said he already sent them to dispatch to pay foe the damage. At the end, the two called dispatch and dispatch told the total hours is 8 hours. as soon as I heard that, my blood pressure went up. I told the two, you guys were too slow and took breaks. They called dispatch and the dispatch guy was super rude. he said we charge starting when the trucl leaves their moving place not when the movers start working. Unbelievable! he then said total cost is $1200 and said he is charging credit card rate not cash amd hung up on me. I was in disbelief. In summary, this company will say whatever it takes to get you tempted to use their service, then charges the highest rate, their movers work slow so they can charge more, they are crooks, never called me back to pay for damages. Oh, there was another dispatch named Vladimer and the person who lured me into accepting the service is named Jay!. what out for these names. THE WORST MOVING EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE... Long story short they quoted me on the phone for 4 hours total job since it is a tiny 2 bedroom apartment and I already boxed everything few days in advance before they came over. They said it will take them 2 hours to load and unload and 2 hours drive. Which is a total of 4 hours at $129 per hour so total of $516 . They ended up taking their sweet time and moving super slow. They get to my other location and said I have to pay them the money first before unloading and I was yes offcourse how much . Then the dispatcher calls me and said you owe us 12 hours of work which is $1548 . Even though it was a total of 8 hours job so not sure how it jumped like that. Even tho I started the time they arrived on My stopwatch and it shows me a total time of 8 hours. And good luck trying to argue with them. As they said if I don't want to pay that amount they will take my stuff back to their warehouse and I will pay $250 daily until I pay the balance . So I said fine unload it and then they Left in 20 Mins and they damaged my $5000 dollar bed that was imported from Italy ( that they didn't even rap it in plastic to protect it ) and they only wanted to pay be $0.08 per pound of a damaged item so they offered to pay $10 .... for a ( $5000 bed ) so basically whatever they quote you initially on the phone you should multiply that by 4 and make sure you get an insurance policy on your own. But my recommendations don't use this moving Company at all unless you want to get ripped off and get your stuff damaged and have the worst attitude on the phone from the dispatcher yelling at you on the phone when they call you every 2 hours . I honestly didn't feel like I was in America. It felt like I was in a 3rd world country or an uncivilized part of Mexico. I am also going to report them to the better business bureau and federal trade commission, California department of consumer affairs. I wish there was an option on Yelp that allow you to give negative stars but unfortunately the least is one star . DO NOT use this company! The 1 star is not an exaggeration, it's an honest rating. The scheduling and planning went okay, but the day-of was not great. I paid for packing on one day, and then moving and unpacking the following day. The packing portion went okay, but they did not pack everything. On the day of the move I had to point out that they didn't pack anything from any bathrooms, left several cabinets full, and were missing things from closets. They had no intention of packing any of it until I pointed to it. Then, when packing those areas, they took apart several things and didn't even attempt to repair them. I had to repeatedly tell them not to remove some things, like shower heads, wall mounts, and shelves, and the moving team still didn't listen or follow instructions. The team left for the new moving location with several boxes worth of items still in the old location. I now have to spend a few hours to go back and get them myself. Luckily, I didn't have to hand over keys that day, otherwise I'd be screwed. On the move-in side, the team didn't do any unpacking, even though I repeatedly confirmed for unpacking during the pre-move phase. They unloaded the truck and left. There were multiple furniture pieces left damaged, hardware missing, and stuff everywhere in multiple oddball locations. Then, on top of everything, I was charged double the estimate. Again, I was charged twice what I was originally quoted for them to NOT do the full job and damage roughly $4000 worth of my things. Don't use Move Central. Go with literally anybody else. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!. They quoted me $900 and it ended up being $1,950. $1,000 higher than the quote. They dropped my $4,000 85" TV and damaged it and didn't say anything. When I made a claim they said their policy is to pay $0.60 per pound to replace items. My TV is 90 Lbs. so $54 but they said they would settle it for $150. The salesman quoted me $129 per hour cash or $149 per hour credit card. The minimum was for 3 hours. There was no mention of this fee per driver. On their page it is listed as a fee for 2 drivers. There was no fee listed for gas for the truck. They required $250 down and put it on my credit card. I was even quoted a cash balance to pay the driver. The move actually cost me over$700. They billed per driver. I questioned fee because that was not what I was quoted. The dispatch said the salesperson cannot quote fees. The fee is after the work is done. I would not have used them had I known this. I paid over $700 for a move that was a total of 10 min from pickup yo delivery. After my $350 deposit I had a balance of over $500. I had to put it on a credit card and then was billed$149 per hour because I did not have that much cash. read more

These buttholes only get a big FU! YOU WILL SEE ME IN COURT. So yesterday I moved from Irvine to Laguna Woods. I was estimated (5) hours for a (2)bdrm. Two Move Central employees showed up on time and needless to say very professional and hard working individuals. Yet I helped throughout the whole move and at the end of all the hard work it was 7hours and some minutes. I know that an estimate is a estimate. But I can't figure out why it is that they quoted me $159.00 an hour when they very well know that two man job will take longer hmmm? Very unprofessional sales team! At the time of payment I will keep it above water when I say that the guys were drenched in sweat and honestly I felt that they did what they came to do with no if and ands about it. (Shout out to Angel and Fernando) BEWARE!!! So the ignorant dispatcher who took my payment was over the law man!!! I have knowledge of how the labor laws are implemented here in the fabulous state of California. This nimwit actually charged me for double drive time starting from the time they left the office to when my move was completed. The guys they hire are, however, very industrious, pleasant, and professional, but dealing with the company administrative staff is not. I think they did this to take longer and pad their bill. (put end table face down on the floor of the truck) I was quoted 25 mins each way for their travel time. It took 1 1/2 hours exactly to load my uhaul. It took almost an hour to get someone on my phone to finish my bill. Then they proceed to tell me it's 1:45 mins travel time, they do 15 min increments, so the added 30 mins to load tim and then added another hour of bill time for no explained reason. To Whom it May Concern, Today I my husband and I had the worst experience ever with your movers, and your dispatchers. I booked with this company because Jay told me he would send three movers to wrap and pack my kitchen, living room and closet (which is all one room because we live in a studio apartment. When the movers arrived they immediately told us that if the packed they would only be able to move a few items, but if we packed they could get the big items out (tv, bed, kitchen table and chairs) which would save time and get us to the $580 I was quoted by Jay. I am 2 almost 3 months pregnant and should not be packing anything. But because I was told it was my only option to get the price I paid for. My husband and I frantically grabbed our clothes on the hanger hung then in boxes, put together all of our boxes packed them and taped the boxes until I realized we did not see the movers doing anything. When I advised them to start packing the big items they replied "Oh, we are first going to take the boxes down that me and my husband has packed first. One of the movers then proceeds tell tell my husband and I the head mover was allergic to dogs and could not help pack up anything inside our studio apartment, I was livid. Sooo I called your company "Move Central," only to hear a dispatcher tell me the movers were trying to help me and my husband out. and that he would call to see what happened and why the other mover was not helping break down our inside furniture. Well, I guess he called the mover because he comes and asks us if we told on him. I said yes I'm talking to the dispatcher now. Further into the packing, I was leaving to run an errand while my husband stayed behind and the mover told us we were out of time and moving forward we were going to be charged $200/an hour. We were stunned. He then tells us they could stop and take the items they had already put on the truck. Leaving behind "The Big Items," (Our (2) Tv's, the Kitchen Table, Coffee table and chairs. This is the same big stuff they were supposed to have packed while we were packing everything else. Next, I call to file a complaint again about this. While I am on the phone I tell my husband to rush and help them take down an items before leaving. We had to leave behind 10 big boxes of equipment. Disgusted at this service I am still on the phone with Pedro the dispatcher who tells me the guys were helping us out. Yeah right, we packed ever . The movers packed over 20 boxes my husband and I packed, and three items, the coffee table and chairs, The Tv, & The bed. The nightmare continued when My husband arrived with the moving company at our new apartment and the tell him they will not unload the truck until we pay $1200. I was quoted $580. I told Pedro I was pregnant and that was why we hired them in the first place and he still told me. The movers should have packed up up but because my husband and I volunteered it was our fault.
