Terrible service. I don't even wanna give any star . I just lost my money there. I went to get fix my scooter because the back tire was flat and the employee asked me if i wanted to replace the tube or the tire I said replace the tires both of them. They only had one in the store and decided to change the back tire and replace the tube for the front one. It took an hour. I took my scooter and put in my car and left it at home. Next day when I wanted to use my scooter the front tire was flat so I went back to the shop and explained to the employee the situation. The answer I got was that I have to pay again if I wanted to get it fixed because they don't know if I used the scooter or not, that's insane. Please be careful where you take your scooter for repair.

All is well! The only shop in the area. Pretty thorough with there work and if you don't want to do it yourself? This is your only option.

I first reached out to them about my leaking fork seals, and I had the pleasure of speaking with Shawn. He told me I could bring my bike in for a quick inspection, so I stopped by and they took a look at it and gave me an estimate. From the beginning, Shawn was transparent about the pricing, what work needed to be done, and what I would be paying for. Before coming here, I had gotten quotes from other shops, and TokyoMoto's price for replacing my fork seals was significantly better. I was so happy with the price and how they treated me that I decided to have them replace my chain as well. Obviously, adding another service increased the original estimate, but everything was explained clearly and there were no surprise charges. I had seen a previous review mentioning unexpected or last-minute charges, but that was not my experience at all. Shawn was very straightforward about their pricing and what each charge was for. I always felt like I knew exactly what I was agreeing to. They were also fantastic with scheduling. Since my motorcycle is my daily commuter, they worked with me to find an appointment that wouldn't interfere with my schedule. Luckily, I ended up being able to bring it in on one of my days off, and everything worked out perfectly. The whole crew at TokyoMoto was friendly, responsive, professional, and transparent throughout the entire process. My bike came back riding great, and I genuinely appreciate the work they did. They've definitely earned my trust, and TokyoMoto will be one of the first places I call whenever my bike needs service in the future.

Shortly after, my bike was still stalling. I called them back and spoke with the owner, Shawn, who wanted to make it right and personally came out to my place and kept my bike for a few weeks to try and replicate the situation. The entire time he had it, he would give me updates. As it turns out, it was just me being a noob and not using the fuel reserve correctly. Shawn was very helpful and professional throughout the whole interaction; I was only charged for the cost of fuel. This kind of customer service is almost unheard of, and I will not be buying/ servicing a motorcycle anywhere else. I cannot recommend them enough!

Because of the positive experience I had with him last time at the service center on Geary Boulevard in the Inner Richmond, I brought my car here this time (he had moved to this location in the interim). Once again, he lived up to my expectations and was very communicative throughout what ended up being an annoying experience. None of the annoyingness was due to anything this place did. Rather, it took forever for me to get things working with my insurance, and when they finally got back to me, Eugenio was ready to take my car. I told him about the damage, asked him to inspect a few other items specific to my car, and had some non-vandalism work done (that I would pay for out of pocket). He agreed and got things rolling with the insurance adjuster they assigned to me. Unfortunately, Progressive randomly determined that the damage was due to a hit-and-run accident rather than vandalism, which I thought the evidence clearly showed, so rather than pay the $100 deductible I would pay under my comprehensive insurance, I had to pay the $500 collision deductible instead. Even the process of getting that straightened out took forever due to Progressive's lagging, so San Francisco Toyota had my car for almost an entire week before they (insurance) gave them the go-ahead. The real kicker for me was that Progressive didn't even pay the shop directly, so I could have had them fix everything right after they inspected it. (I paid Toyota, and Progressive is supposed to reimburse me the difference between the actual cost and my deductible. *Fingers crossed*.) The work was done professionally and well. I should say promptly too, which it was after all the insurance-caused delays. Eugenio helpfully provided photos of some of the other things I asked about and recommended some other repairs. I told him I'm just trying to get as much life out of this car as I can, and he totally understood and didn't try any kind of hard sale. In fact, that's why I like him and followed him here: He's honest and efficient. The physical setup here is also nicer than on Geary. There, you drive your car into a parking lot crammed with cars either waiting to be repaired or picked up, and you often have to wait in line in your car until someone can see you. At this location on Van Ness, you drive into the building, and because there's extremely limited space on the ground floor, they immediately move your car upstairs, even before you've finished talking to the service person. At first, it seemed sudden, but it also made it feel like the entire drop-off process went faster. When you pick your car up, they bring it down for you, no need to go searching in a parking lot for your car. The little waiting area is also very comfortable, although I didn't spend any time there except while I was paying my bill. As long as I have a Toyota in San Francisco, I'll continue to trust this San Francisco Toyota Service Center location for specific repairs, especially when insurance is paying for (part of) them. I would give them five stars except that it is a dealership, so the prices are on the higher end.
