Just moved back to Orlando. I took my girlfriend to visit Tijuana Flats for the first time! We lived in both AZ and CA. We have definitely had our share of Mexican food spots. This was her first time trying Tex-Mex and needless to say she absolutely loved it. She especially enjoyed be able to choose many different a sauces and playing with them. Not to mention the food was amazing and the service was really exceptional as well really set the tone for our new home in Orlando. read more

We have come here a lot, it's close by and its usually ok. However lately the service has gone downhill, the employee's are horribly rude and just don't seem to care. Save yourself the aggravation and pick another t-flats, one where the employee's remember that treating the customers like they are beneath you only encourages them to eat elsewhere. read more

Serious YUM! Got the Blackened Chicken Flautas. Definitely THE BEST FLAUTAS I have ever had, anywhere! (And I've lived in 8 different states since 2011.) We also had the Tijuana Trio, which is chips, queso dip, guacamole, and salsa. The queso dip is delicious, the guacamole is fantastic and fresh, and the salsa is also wonderful - with a hint of sweetness! My dining companion got the Beef Chimichanga with queso on top, and he enjoyed it. There is a hot sauce bar; however, we didn't sample any of them, as hot stuff is not our cup of tea. Also, the staff is SUPER friendly, and when we arrived at 9:40, even though they closed at 10:00 P.M., and we were the last customer to leave, the staff never made us feel like we were imposing. This was our first time here, and we'll be back for sure! read more

Great place. Food is a 8 out of 10 and not too expensive. I like the sauce bar, but honestly I don't think any of the sauces are that good. There is like 15 of them, and about 12 of them taste the same. This is not a complaint, but I'd prefer some regular Pico De Gayo (spelling,,,,sorry). First time here and it was fantastic! The friendly staff walked us through the order process, got my daughter a high chair and bib without being asked and were super helpful. Great service and ambiance; it's colorful and fun. However, the flavors just did not do it for me. I was really excited for their salsa bar, but all but one have vinegar in them, which is not authentic, and just doesn't taste good (like Tabasco sauce). I currently live in Nashville, but lived in Orlando for 10 years before coming up here. Although the Mexican population in Nashville outnumbers that of Orlando by a long shot, I would say I have tasted Mexican from Nashville's Mexican resturaunts, some in California, and then one of my all time favorites in Orlando....Tijuana Flats. Nobody does it better than Tijuana Flats in my opinion. The service, the sauce bar, the atmosphere, and taste of Tijuana Flats is second to nobody in my experiences. It's a good place just avoid going during lunch hours the seating is very limited and you may not get a seat.

Normally, I love Tijuana Flats but, both times I have tried this location the food has made me sick. I don't know if they don't properly maintain food temps or cooking temps but, stay away from this location. All the other locations have been great and no problems. read more

This is great Tex-Mex place that puts any other mexican fast food chains to shame. If you're a picky eater, they will accommodate any of your requests, and your food will always hit the perfect spot in your stomach that you will not be able to hold back that look of satisfaction on your face. I found this doing a Yelp search while visiting Orlando. I took my traveling companions and just warned them that it might be more fast food based on pictures on yelp. I was pleasantly surprised to find very friendly counter service, a "free" basket of chips and salsa since we were first timers and plenty of interesting options. I had the carnitas tostadas which were quartered crispy corn tortillas with pork and the usual suspects. The pork had a good flavor, better than I expected. My partner had the chicken flautas which were only lightly fried, but quite good with guacamole, refried beans and rice. I got a side of queso which was also quite good, not too thick or spicy. Our friends got quesadillas and chimichangas with an order of guacamole and chips. They were quite happy with their meal and service. We explored the salsa bar a bit, but mainly stuck to the basic salsa, queso and guacamole. As we were packing up leftover chips and salsa, one of the servers asked if we wanted a free refill of salsa or guacamole. Wow, I've never heard of a free refill on guac! We had so much chips left, we jumped at the guacamole and enjoyed it with the chips later. The garlic in the guac really bloomed the longer it sat, so it was very pronounced but quite delicious. read more

I love this place! It was my first time going to a Tijuana Flats restaurant and the food is delicious and fresh. They serve alcohol which is a plus for a day you feel like having some wine or a beer. The customer service is also on point. Every time I visit this location, the staff is very attentive and nice. After you order your food you usually just have to pick a seat and wait until they call your name and they bring the food to you. I always order the chicken enchiladas with tortilla chips and queso sauce and a Sangria as my drink. read more

Cannot say enough wonderful things about this place! My parents and I used to frequent this location until my dad got very sick and unfortunately passed away in the fall. My mom and I finally went back again for Taco Tuesday last week and the owner gave us our tacos on him, because he remembered us and since my dad was gone.
