Came here on a Saturday around 12:30 for lunch. Our party of 4 decided to sit at the bar as we had heard great things about the bartender. Unfortunately, there weren't enough seats, so we sat right next to it. Ambiance was casual. Decor was dated and dingy in some cases, but everything was clean. Staff was friendly. Service was prompt. We started off with cocktails; the mai tais were great...no skimping on the alcohol. We each got some variation of a combo plate. Between all of us, we got to try the boneless ribs, crab rangoon, chicken fingers, rice, fries, eggrolls, beef teriyaki and chicken wings. Everything was pretty tasty; we had no complaints. Price was reasonable and portion size was generous. They found out that my husband and I were there for a quick getaway weekend to celebrate our birthdays a little early, so the bartender put together a fruit birthday cake for us! It was basically a banana with pineapples and cherries around it and a candle. I thought that was really nice of them. While this isn't a 5 star restaurant, if you're looking for a local place to have good food and not break the bank, this is the place for you! We don't live in the area, but next time we are at the Cape, we'll definitely go back! read more

First off, I hate leaving bad reviews for businesses cause it can hurt them and I don't like hurting businesses. But truthfully I have to be honest here. I WISH I LISTENED TO THE BAD REVIEWS about Tiki Port. I think it was the worst food I have ever had. Look, I live for Asian food, it's 80% what I eat annd cook. Be it eat in or take out, usually I am always happy.But this place...OMG...it was so so so bad. I love cheesy 70 throwback decor. I do.So I wanted this to be my new go to place. But the food?.. Absolutely God aweful!!! Don't be like me...Listen to the reviews and me. Go get take out literally anywhere else and you'll be happier... but don't suffer through dinner here. The place is dated and needs a refresh, but the food is always fresh and is traditional New England Polynesian style Chinese food. Service is usually friendly, and the prices are reasonable. The bar scene is usually lively, perhaps a little too lively as it has caused them some licensed violations with the town. When I went to go there for dinner tonight, the place was absolutely packed and I was unable to get in. Unfortunately, the likely reason it was packed as apparently they will be closing on New Year's Eve forever. Hopefully I will be able to squeeze in one more visit before then. RIP read more

Tiki Port has been denigrate for a long time mostly because it is old. Take it from me. I have worked in a Chinese restaurant and have been to China and Taiwan many times. Tiki Port has the best Chinese food in the Cape. Prices are nearly the lowest. Atmosphere is a bit grungy But always happy. I don't know why some people don't like it, I suspect it's those with snooty tastes... Love this place.!!! read more

I have been going for years. Went recently and everything was awful. The fried rice had a funny smell and the boneless ribs were as hard as rocks. On top of the bad food my credit card was charged twice and when I went in (with paperwork and receipts) they refused to credit my card. They told me to call the bank. See ya Tiki Port. read more

Best Chinese food on the cape! We come every year for a few days and always make a stop here. The service is great and the ambiance is the same as it has been since as long as I can remember. We got the flaming Tiki platter plus soups, crab Rangoon, and rice, and it was all great. We fed a family of five for $100 and had plenty of leftovers. The crab rangoons look and taste like they are made fresh on site, and not bought premade. They were delicious. read more

Went late to pickup an assorted platter. The battered food was way too crispy. It tasted like leftovers from the fridge heated up too much in the air fryer. They used to be amazing back in the day. Throwback old school Chinese in the Polynesian vein that has a connection to one of my favorites, Tiki Island in Medford (very similar decor and menu, though not sure of the exact details beyond that). Here, the atmosphere is just as festive, though the place is smaller. Better gift shop! Unfortunately, the food isn't nearly as good, though hardly terrible. Minuscule amount of sweet and sour sauce on overly breaded chicken, but somewhat mitigated by an extra side of sauce by request. Decent enough egg roll and decent enough fried rice. Large portion for the price and a fair price, though 40% higher than what's listed on the online menu. Overall, decent to good, with memories and atmosphere the calling cards. read more

First time trying this restaurant. The good: - Chicken wings are a good size, very well cooked and seasoned. Not as crispy as one would expect for fried chicken. Good portion. - crab Rangoon is your typical crab Rangoon, exactly what you would expect The bad: - the fried rice had no soy sauce, it was white and smelled sour. I've never seen "fried" rice like that before. It was bland and not what I wanted. I had high hopes for something called "special" fried rice. - the chow mein was very strange, instead of the usual egg noodles, it came with those dry cracker like sticks that you find in "Asian" salads. And the mushrooms were from a can. It was not at all what we expected and the Chinese food craving was not satisfied. I appreciate that this place is "Polynesian" so maybe the typical Chinese takeout fare is prepared differently? We'll continue our search for Chinese takeout on the Cape. read more

Tiki Port is an old-style Chinese Restaurant. The food is good as are the drinks. We usually get attentive and good service. Today we waited a long time to be approached. The waiter took our drink order and food order shortly thereafter. We received our drinks ten minutes after the food arrived. The pineapple, fortune cookies and check were put on the table when we were only partially finished with our meal. We typically would have ordered a second drink. The waiter got us out of there quickly. It was not overly busy either. He was pleasant but it was a fail in my opinion. read more

It starts with great parking close to entrance, a greeting and good service. The people are friendly and helpful in choosing something different. Great Polynesian food found year round in Hyannis across from the mall. Serving sizes for the lunch specials easily serve two people. It's traditional for the customer who grew up in the Northeast. Over the past few years living on Cape Cod, I've stopped by the Tiki Port multiple times. They have made some improvements to their front entryway, the carpet looks much better. The staff at the front have been very attentive, remember my name, and most of the servers know that I would like to start off with an apple martini and get it right away. This is hands down my favorite chinese food restaurant on Cape Cod, I haven't been to all that many going up towards Dennis, Orleans and P-Town, but I would say from the Hyannis/Yarmouth line headed back into Barnstable County and I pretty much have eaten at every chinese restaurant and none of them even come close to Tiki Port. They have excellent customer service, the food is outstanding, they're very flexible as far as substitutions and things, to them customer service is number one, the food also comes out really quick and it's also piping hot, it's like you order and then 5 minutes later it comes out, You got to love that, LOL! Their duck sauce is the best, not many chinese food restaurants have that kind of duck sauce, I don't know what they call it but it's so good. I really can't say enough good things about this restaurant, and they're open on Christmas and I'm pretty sure Thanksgiving also, don't quote me on that one though. Some of the things I highly recommend you try are as follows: Boneless Ribs, Combination Plates, Crab Rangoons, Egg Rolls, Pork Fried Rice, Chicken Fingers and a whole bunch more. I mentioned their combination plates, definitely a good way to be able to get a number of different things that you may want to try without having to order a whole side of it, that's the way I go when I go there, and it's a lot cheaper also! I haven't been to their bar because I don't really drink, but I have quite a few friends that love to go there all the tim. The bartender is very friendly and great at what he does! All in all, this would be an excellent choice if you're looking for a casual, kid friendly and delicious meal. I can almost promise that you will leave satisfied I have so much confidence in them, ohhhh and by the way, don't forget to make a wish and rub the Buddha's belly they have in the foyer. I have been a patron of Tiki Port for many, many years. Never ever have I been disrespected as this evening. I ordered quite a bit of food and simply asked for extra hot mustard like I normally do... When I got home with my food I discovered that they had given me PACKETS OF FRENCHS MUSTARD... WTF? So I called and asked for the actual hot mustard that usually comes with chinese food.... So I left my now cold dinner to retrieve the mustard they should have given me in the first place... I no sooner walked in the door and a young lady approached me with the proper hot mustard.... I asked " why didn't you give this to me in the first place without me coming all the way back for it.... She look at me and said rather sternly " The mustard packets were mustard!!! " I recognized a familiar waiter and asked... "What happened? I use to be a known customer here and now I'm getting this attitude?!!!" He looked at me as to agree and couldn't say anything.... On March 2, 2024, ten of us held a mini family reunion at Tiki Port. To make the visit more special we decided to dress as the various characters from the 1960's hit television program Gilligan's Island. Why not? It all makes perfect sense. A Tiki bar, and tasty and generous portions of Polynesian inspired food that we remember from our childhood. The gracious staff seated us in a private annex to the lounge where we ate and drank like Polynesian royalty. There is something admirable about organizations like Tiki Port staying true to their roots in the tradition of Trader Vic's, or Don the Beachcomber. Our visit greatly exceeded our expectations. We would like to thank the management and staff of Tiki Port for bringing their A game that night and joining us in our Gilligan fantasy. Our spontaneous adventure unexpectantly turned into a "happening"- a sort of performance art piece when we headed to the exit. Our Thurston Howell 3rd locked his jaw and engaged in an enthusiastic dialog with other patrons while he blared the Gilligan's Island theme song from his iPhone. People stood and gave us a standing ovation while screaming out the name of their favorite castaway. We urge other Gilligan's Island fans to seek our Tiki Port as the perfect venue to act out their island fantasies before the restaurant might be gone forever. read more

Best chinese food in the area, i don't care what anyone says! The chicken wings are delicious! They have keno on one side! And a hugeeeee banquet style area, that side is kinda on the chilly side but if your with a large group then you get the room to yourself There is an added gratuity to party's over 6, but you can definitely leave more money if you have an awesome experience like we had! It's been a while since I left a review for Tiki Port, but given the amount of takeout we've gotten during the whole Covid thing, I figured it was a good time. Again, no idea why this place only gets three starts. Great old style Polynesian Chinese food. Occationaly fluctuates, and sometimes forgets the chow mein noodles, over all still 5 starts for us. This place serves overall okay standard American style Chinese food. It's not stellar authentic Chinese you would find on a big city by a long shot. They have 2 dining rooms & a nice spacious bar. Most of the dining area is orange pleather booth seating which is fun. But there are plenty of two & four tops in both dining rooms. The building & decor are original from the 1950's/60's during the Polynesian tiki fad. Every time I come here I think I am on the Elvis Presley Movie set of Blue Hawaii. I like this place just bc it's an iconic local Cape Cod watering hole. It's a full service bar complete with every tiki concoction you can think of: Fog Cutter, Mai Tai, Scorpion Bowl, etc. You name it. And the bar has orange pleather swivel chairs. You got to love that too. Most of the locals I see are sipping on G&T's, Scotch, Bourbon or Vodka Libations. The beer selection is not extensive, mostly domestics with a Sam Adams seasonal & Tsing Tsao. As far as food, it's okay. Not great. I have eaten many times but I come here now occasionally for cocktails. That's it. I went the other night & ordered the fried shrimp, scallop & crab ragoon appetizer. Way too much breading. I also ordered the salt & pepper spicy shrimp & they completely forgot it. Not really that complicated of an order. It also took over 30 mins which was pretty ridiculous. I was at the bar in the middle of the week at 7 pm. It was not busy. Not exactly a great experience. I find you can't expect much with cuisine in Cape Cod. All in all, this is a cute little retro place. I personally recommend coming here for a few cocktails & watching any NE related sports event. I don't really recommend the food. read more
