Today I had some chamomile tea and a breakfast sandwich with an English muffin and no cheese. Bri was helpful in taking my order and delivering my items. One of the things I noticed today is that every menu item has its associated calories. For some this could be good or bad. It did deter me from getting a biscuit. It has been a minute since I was last at Tim Hortons. They now appear to have a rewards program. They may have had the rewards program previously, however, today it was very prominently displayed. Apparently, Tims Rewards is a points‑based program available through the Tim Hortons app, their website, or a physical rewards card. I feel super lucky that there is a Tim Horton's near me in Texas. I think their coffee is pretty good, and their donuts are great as well. I am always a sucker for Timbits. One thing I cannot help but notice is that every time I step foot inside the Austin Tim Horton's location, it feels like every employee is on their first day on Earth. There always seems to be some kind of confusion, an order gets messed up, or something is broken. It does not really make sense. I will probably still go back because their little treats make the visit worthwhile, but I have had a few nightmare experiences. One time I placed a mobile order 20 minutes in advance, only for it to not be ready for another 20 minutes, and they had completely forgotten about it. Still amazing! I was in the area yesterday morning so I stopped in. Drive thru went quick and I grabbed 10 of the honey dipped Timbits and a Timsboost drink. The honey dip Timbits were so good. They are soft, fresh and GONE so quick. The sunrise sunset Timsboost was delicious. Raspberry syrup with tropical Red Bull was definitely energizing and bright. As a Canadian living in Austin, TX, this is as close to home as I'm going to get. Building is still new but definitely on the smaller side. Menu definitely isn't as extensive but they got all the classics. Timbits are my go to and the seasonal apple cider ones are excellent. Chocolate and birthday cake are also both great - skip the honey. They also have fine iced coffee but I will say that it is on the expensive side, compared to what I'm used to paying for the same thing in the great white north. Ok this is the second time in two days!! I came in for the pumpkin muffins and donuts!! It's really tasty and the staff is so helpful and my friend who bought the muffins.. they threw in a free donut!! Ooh.. I love the pumpkin donuts!! Now the pumpkin muffins have that creme on the inside!! It's the best I have tasted! Better than other cafes!! Tim Hortons is a famous Canadian chain similar to Dunkin Donuts and this is their first store to open in the area. Having never been to one before, I was excited to check it out. The store was just built from scratch this fall so it looks great, and while it feels pretty small inside they still manage to fit eight small tables inside including a couple bigger ones, an ordering counter with display case, and single-person bathrooms. Plus outdoor seating on the front patio with umbrellas! Of course most of the traffic will go through the drive-through, and there are plenty of options when it comes to coffee, doughnuts, and breakfast sandwiches. I got myself some Tim-bits which are doughnut holes that are merely okay, and a seasonal peppermint mocha coffee that was pretty enjoyable once I made them add 4 more pumps of peppermint. The default didn't have any peppermint taste, so I suspect you have to ask for more pumps of anything when it comes to flavored coffee. Frankly, I might have rated things three stars except the employees were so darn friendly and welcoming. Service was fast and accurate and if they stay this nice all the time then I'll find myself coming back since this is a convenient location right on 620. Popped in as I've never been to a Tim Hortons. Got a coffee and Boston crème dounghnut. Inside was quaint and tables a bit dirty. I sat long enough to enjoy the donut and took the coffee to go. Ordering coffee was a bit interesting as they do a one to one ratio for sugar/cream. So if you get 2 sugars, it'll be 2 creamers with it. Vs saying 4 sugar and 2 cream. I am so excited to have a Tim Hortons nearby! I was a little bummed to hear they do not have decaf espresso but I still grabbed an iced vanilla latte. We also got a snowman vanilla cream donut, 10 chocolate glazed timbits, an m&m cookie, and an iced chair latte. I did not like the m&m cookie. It tasted like a biscuit with a smidge of chocolate. The vanilla latte was good, simple, with no complaints- although I do wish it were decaf.. The snowman vanilla cream filled donut was so cute but a huge bummer! My son loved it but he's two... the dough was a bit on the stale side but the biggest issue was that it is supposed to be a vanilla cream filled donut and the amount inside was the size of a small blueberry. Even on the skimpier side of fillings, that's not remotely filled. The chocolate glazed timbits were tasty, I've never had donut holes that weren't standard glazed so that was exciting! I am not too fond of the iced chai- it tasted like cereal milk. They did forget our food items for quite some time. I'm not sure where the mixup happened but I'm sure it's because they're new. They threw in a few extra snacks to make up for it so that was pretty nice. There is plenty of parking and a whole bunch of seating inside and out. I ordered my usual that I get from Dunkin: -Bacon, Egg and Cheese Bagel -Hashbrowns -Caramel Iced Capp ( Dunkin - Caramel Frozen Coffee) Dunkin is far superior with all of those! It wasn't bad, just I wouldn't go out of my way for it, it was all kinda bland, and the Iced Capp was odd, too sweet (that is weird for me to say, I love sweet) no coffee flavor at all, and a weird hazelnut flavor I think. After a somewhat disastreous store opening that resulted in closed doors, and eternally (and dangerously) long drive-thru wait lines that spilled into the streets, I'm pleased to report that this Tim Hortons location seems to have its business in order now, at least judging by their performance on this Saturday afternoon. Being turned around a few weeks after their opening left a bitter taste in my mouth but I decided to let some time pass and give them another chance later. This location is clean and new. The staff is nice and responsive. The donuts are alright, not quite as tasty as the recipe I'm used to in Canada but still better than most American donut chains that serve oily and sticky glazed donuts that clog your arteries just by looking at them. The seasonal nutella ice cappuccino was good but a bit too sweet. I'll have to try the regular one next time to give an objective review of that menu item. I'm still on the fence as to whether I like the American version of Timmies or not... many popular menu items are missing and the donut selection is a fraction of what it should be. Perhaps for someone who has no frame of reference (i.e. the original Tim Hortons franchise) this will be a good restaurant. read more

We waited a few weeks to try this place because it was super crowded when it first opened. Last Saturday morning, we were able to try it for the first time. We ordered ahead on the app, and upon arrival, I proceeded to wait about 35 minutes in the drive-thru line. Even though we had ordered ahead on the app, we had a coupon for 10 free 'Timbits.' The app did not allow for the addition of this coupon-related order, therefore I tried to explain when I arrived at the 'digital menu/intercom zone.' However, the employee seemed confused and stated that they would "take care of it at the window." It was then settled at the window and I departed with our drinks and Timbits. The drinks were okay and the Timbits were really delicious. We thought that this establishment would become one of our more frequent destinations for breakfast. However, that all changed upon our second visit. Once again, I went on a weekend morning and ordered ahead on the app, but this time I went inside to avoid waiting in the long drive-thru line. Upon entering the lobby, I noticed that the relatively small space was crowded, and every table was occupied. It was a very diverse group of customers of all backgrounds and ages. Everyone looked very proud to have a seat at the relatively new Tim Horton's, yet many of them also seemed underwhelmed. I wondered how many had driven more than 30 minutes to get to this location, since it's the only one in Central Texas and the company seems to have very loyal and dedicated customers. I then approached the counter and told the cashier my order number. Immediately, she looked confused. She turned to consult with another employee and then started bringing the drinks to the counter. However, she did not bring the food item I had ordered. There did not seem to be any sort of record-keeping system such as printed receipts or monitors so that employees could verify orders. She then advised that I move to the side counter where another employee would assist me. Before I even had a chance to move, she stated, " I need to help the people behind you." Apparently, the front counter with the cashier is only for walk-up orders and the side counter is for pick-up orders, but no one explained this to me. When I moved to the side counter, there were quite a few people also waiting to pick up orders. When it was my turn, I advised that I was still waiting on my food (Timbits - paid for this time). The male employee stated they only had chocolate left and asked if that was okay. I responded "okay" and departed with our items. Once again, the Timbits were very tasty. However, our drinks (Chai and Americano coffee) were really, really bad. Honestly, I've had better coffee at 7-Eleven and QT. We were so disappointed. We both deleted the Tim Horton's app from our phones. Our goal is to stick to independent, local coffee shops and breakfast eateries. We might pay a little more, but hopefully the experience, service, and food will be better. Ultimately, the customer service at this place is really lacking and the employees need better training on how to deal with customers. read more

I'm sure it was just an off/busy day and I understand it's a new location but don't put a new employee on the register who is not familiar with the system or offerings. It's small inside about 6 tables so yes it got packed on a Saturday afternoon. The door couldn't remain shut. I was told I only could order 10 or 4 timbits at a time only for someone to correct her and then still get my order wrong. Drink said iced and was made hot. Had to wait more just for the correct drink to be made. Order was placed at 1:31 PM and I didn't get my drink until 1:42 PM no sorry for the inconvenience or anything. Ordered the iced cinnamon sugar latte with oat milk. The drink was really good and you could actually taste the cinnamon. The timbits were good, not hot but still a moist donut. I enjoyed that they had a different type of donut hole (birthday cake) which definitely makes them unique. I also got the snickers cookie. The cookie itself was really soft and filled with topping on top. The drive through has two lanes. Likely will give it another try once the new hype cools down. read more

Where do I start. I got a coupon in the mail several days ago...I decided to give them a try on my errand day Saturday (today). We pulled up waited a little less than 5 mins at the order kiosk...after numerous apologies for the wait, we finally ordered. We pulled up to the window and yep waited again as we watched the chaos through the window...I actually wanted popcorn while watching honestly...the chaos was something I have never seen before....finally our 2 sandwiches came out and they forgot we ordered coffee...not kidding.....they gave us the coffee finally then as we were pulling away they yelled "STOP" that coffee has sugar in it!" So we handed the coffee back and out came mine (I ordered a med iced coffee with 2 creams) what I got was MILK...waaay too much cream. Then as we pulled away and unwrapped our breakfast sandwiches mine was cold and my hubby's was burned. I don't know anything about this new location but you may want to hold off going until they get it together...we were SUPER disappointed. Gonna be a looooong while before we return to this location. I'm originally from Buffalo, NY and Tim Hortons is a staple up there. It's so good that you go there no matter how far away you are. When I heard they were opening one here, I couldn't wait. I was dreaming of peanut stix again. Just tried it and what a disappointment. No peanut stix, and the donuts I got would make Timmy cry. I guess he could have soaked up his tears with them as dry as they were. I couldn't even eat them. I've had much better donuts from 7-11! We tried Tim Hortons this Sunday at around 1pm. Our order was very simple: 1 medium black coffee, Strawberry Covered Latte, and two 10 piece boxes of donut holes. Upon sitting down, it was immediately obvious that the workers were overwhelmed and didn't seem to have a system to track orders. The latte came out quickly but the coffee and donut holes never arrived. It appears that the workers were drowning in orders that were coming from the drive thru, walk in customers, and online orders. After waiting for twenty minutes I figured out that the only way to get your order was to stand at the pickup area and state what you are missing. It was a disaster and there was a growing line on the side of people missing items. This location did not seem to have anyone taking charge and I had to ask an employee three consecutive times just to get my medium black coffee. That is super ridiculous. We definitely won't be returning. Food was meh. Hire a manager to take charge of this place, Tim Horton. These guys were lost. read more

I understand they just opened, but it took 34 minutes to get through the drive through. And between the time I ordered and arrived at the window they ran out of donut holes. My only option was to pay more money to get donuts, so I did. The donuts are very mediocre, the coffee tastes the same as gas station coffee and the breakfast sandwich tastes like a frozen one from HEB.
