What a great idea this is! I went tonight with some friends from work and had the best time. You pick your meals ahead of time and they have it all ready to go for you. I mean really ready! You go in stations and they have all Your spices laid out for you with an instruction card on how to assemble each meal. The workers are so helpful! (Especially for someone like me who isn't the most skilled person in the kitchen!). I can't wait to go back and do it again. The menu changes monthly. The meals are divided into two containers but if you want smaller portions you could use smaller ones. For example I got the Gouda burgers. It supposed to make 6 burgers but I made mine a little smaller and got 8 burgers. You just throw it all in the freezer and defrost in the fridge when you're ready. Great for busy families! Loved it!

Do you have days where you just don't have it in you to cook? But you don't want to get takeout from a restaurant? Enter Time For Dinner! A woman-owned business that makes your life easier. I stopped by, got the Parmesan encrusted chicken, and popped it in the freezer. Couple days later I was feeling sick and didn't even feel like driving for takeout...I had this lovely dinner (which is not your average frozen grocery store meal they make things fresh) that only took 30 minutes in the oven. Loved it!! Their menu rotates monthly. Let's just say... I WILL BE BACK

What a cool experience for me. Sadly, i never knew some place like this existed.... I had the chance to meet Amy. She stated they have been around for 20 (!!) years! I told her this came at a really great time for our family as I have been looking into a meal prep kind of dealio (like hello fresh, blue apron, etc). I really like the idea of prepping my own meals, taking them home in freezer friendly containers and cooking them whenever we want. My daughter would love participating, and the fun thing is that she can tag along and help! The recipes look easy to follow and EVERYTHING is prepped for you to assemble. I feel this would save a lot of time and potentially money (if i can plan this right). I waited until I was able to try the chicken parm entree, and it was delicious!!! I am telling all my friends about this!

Beyond my expectations!! As soon as I stepped in I automatically felt welcome with the staff and atmosphere. It felt as if I was stepping onto a cooking show, as some of the staff were setting up for their next cooking demonstrations for the customers. I love this concept of providing meal prep and cooking demonstrations with the customers AND using fresh ingredients, definite plus!

Not going to lie, the cheese curds were as advertised! They were hot! Not so much that I couldn't handle but don't take them lightly, they are good. They came drizzled with a good ranch. The beer was great, especially with the hot cheese curds. Ordered the Friday Fish Sando with no cheese. Came out in a timely manner, large and crispy! It was messy in the best way. Crispy, beer battered cod, lettuce, and house made tarter. It was juicy on the inside with none of the batter mush you can sometimes get with fried fish, loved the house made tarter, all-around great sandwich. The fries were on point, too. Crispy but not greasy. Great space, friendly staff, good food!

The menu has lots of options and the drink menu does too. I only ordered water, but my dining partners ordered margaritas and beer on tap. Our server brought out chips and salsa for us to snack on and then came by to get our order after giving us some time to review the menu. I was really excited to order a fajita quesadilla since I had not seen that item on many other menus. My friends ordered tacos and had rice and beans too. When the food was delivered to our table, it was hot and I was so happy that the quesadilla was not too soggy, it was crispy on both sides and piping hot on the inside. It was also delicious when I took that first bite. My friends agreed that their tacos were tasty and they even said that they would order the exact same tacos again next time. We heard about the DelMar Loop and also heard about this place so decided to drop on by! One of the best parts was free parking! OK, we saw they had a patio and that was perfect for us because our puppy needed a place too. They seated us quickly, brought us some menus, and took our drink order. We both had 0% beer because, you know, it was just 12 noon - a little early for the hard stuff! We both ordered some barbecue! I ordered the brisket and pulled pork, along with the potato salad and chili! OK before the food review I got it put in a great word for the waitress. She was very friendly, and gave us some good pointers on things to check out while in town - very cool. Oddly enough, we were the only one sitting on the patio, even though it was a very pleasant day, indeed. When the food came? I thought the brisket was a little odd because it wasn't chopped. It was cut into little cubes but paired with one of the sauces? Very nice! And pulled pork was great. The potato salad? Yup! The chili? Yup! The fried bread roll? Well, it was a little unexpected, but it was very nice as well. As we had heard that St. Louis barbecue was uniquely different from any other barbecue, we had to have it! I'm not gonna say it was spectacularly different, but it was good! We ordered a lemon gooey bar for dessert and shared it! Apparently it's a St. Louis thing? Yes! Would we come again? Oh yes, indeed! And you should try it too if you like good barbecue.!

The baloney, with a fresh chowchow and Stone Ground mustard, was one of the best barbecue items I've had anywhere. The slaw some vinegar based and it's very tangy. It was very good. The line goes out the back door and you better hope a table gets flipped in time for you to eat. I got the fish sandwich. The bread and fish had a smoke flavor but needed assistance from the sauce. It would better with some of the cabbage on it. The cabbage also needed more pickling. The house chips were great and had enough flavor. I also tried the "bread pudding". It was tough and more like a french toast and not at all soft. The whipped cream and sour cherries were the best. Accessibility note: This restaurant is not accessible. The "accessibility" entry is clunky and requires a lot of assistance to manage. The back staircase has railing but more than 4 steps. The front entry could be accessible if they lay ramp concrete to remove the small step. Also the Main Street patio seating completely blocks the sidewalk so wheelchair and walker users would have to enter the street. The newest award for the owner made the food hard to live up to, but I want to return.

It is a Trojan horse for one of the best burgers in St. Louis (my wife says I'm being dramatic for calling it THE best; I say I am not NOT going back for another). We enjoyed everything we order: the pork belly burnt ends and cashew chicken wings, and a coffee & cardamom old fashioned that sounds like a personality disorder but tastes like a vibe, smoky, a touch sweet, and very drinkable year-round. The Sam Elliott burger, BBQ sauce, bacon, crunchy onions, brioche, is named for a man who has never disappointed anyone, and neither does the sandwich. And the meatloaf is NOT your grandma's brick: tender, charred at the edges, laid over silky mashed potatoes with broccolini, perhaps closer to a chop steak than a loaf in the best possible way. Vibe is farm-chic: old church pews, repurposed interior doors, a proper bar up front, plus a patio and rooftop for when the weather cooperates. Fun fact -- it's named after the blue duck Billy Madison paints in elementary school, which is a fantastic piece of trivia and tells you absolutely nothing accurate about the actual restaurant. 4.7 Stars. Picking Nits: the counter-order setup is efficient, but it sets expectations in the wrong direction for the first 90 seconds, you brace for fast-casual and instead get something considerably more ambitious. Food comes out fast once you've ordered, which is great if you're hungry and slightly jarring if you wanted a slow, lingering dinner. And the Billy Madison naming is charming trivia but entirely misleading as a vibe preview, no complaints about the actual restaurant, just the branding expectations it sets. If The Blue Duck were a character: Ron Swanson. Hear me out. If Ron ate here, he'd be suspicious of the entire experience until his first bite of protein -- the counter ordering, the repurposed doors, a burger named after a fellow mustachioed American, all of it registering as potentially too clever. Then the Sam Elliott hits his plate, he takes one bite, and the skepticism dissolves into the quiet respect of a man who has found his people. Looks rustic. Has strong feelings about meat. Secretly sophisticated -- plays saxophone in a jazz club under a fake name, builds his own furniture, would 100% approve of the farm-chic decor once the protein has spoken. Presents as simple. Isn't.
