Absolutely the MOST ENJOYABLE new car purchase I have ever made! I've bought close to 20 new cars (and 50+ used) in my 50+ years, and I have NEVER had a purchase be as HONEST, ZEN and EASY as the one I completed at Timmons Subaru. I did the whole internet car search thing, with dealers from Ontario to San Diego saying that they would be the best, but they didn't have the exact model I wanted IN STOCK. Timmons DID have exactly what I wanted, and the Internet Sales Manager, Chrissy, sent me a stellar quote. When I called Chrissy up (at 7pm on Friday) to see if they were for real, she said that the car just got delivered, and she'd have it prepped so I could see it the next morning. Wow. So I asked the important question: How much more will the car cost than the quote I received? Exactly the same. Woohoo! Finally a dealer that's a straight shooter. No adders buried, like $500 alarms and $200 tire nitrogen fills that I found at others. I showed up Saturday morning, and there was the car, all prepped and waiting to go home. Chrissy came down to greet me, and took some basic info while I went out to look at the car. We took it for a test drive, and by the time we got back, Finance reported that I had good credit, and could either pay cash or finance the whole amount (no down, either). With the amazing rates Subaru is offering right now, I chose to finance the whole thing. The next step was going to the finance guy, Joe Ramos. This is usually as painful as negotiating the purchase price, but I was literally in his office less than 20 minutes, and out the door to my new car! The purchase price was EXACTLY what was quoted - no fillers. Sure, he is obligated to go over the service plans (and the Subaru Prepaid Maintenance one is sweet), but he wasn't threatening or a jerk about it. What a breeze. I've steered three other people to Subaru's already. Now I'm going to steer them to Timmons ‐ a genuinely nice and honest dealership. I'd give this dealer no stars if I could. I had leased a Forester Sport from Timmons last year and had an excellent experience. I was looking to lease another one a few months back. I was able to order one from the factory at MSRP minus $500. They also told me I could make a $500 donation to the ASPCA and become eligible for their pricing, which was invoice minus 2%. The sent me a order with my cars specs and April delivery date. No deposit required as I was a repeat customer. Then a couple weeks ago, my salesperson calls and says they can't honor the pricing because they are now only giving it to local customers. I live 35 miles away. In addition, they are ticking on $500 worth of some overpriced, garbage door protector film. That too is non-negotiable. I understand it's been a tough year for auto dealers, though apparently they are making more money than ever as each car they sell is much more profitable. However, a deal is a deal. You want to sell out from under me to generate a couple thousand dollars more of profit, then by all means go ahead. This would have been my 5th Subaru in 5 years. I was able to call into the dealership and spoke with Luis in the service department who was extremely helpful and kind. I was worried I wouldn't be able to get anything done for my daughters birthday that week, but he was able to set me up with a loaner and took away that extra stress. He kept me informed throughout the repair which was helpful for no unexpected surprises. My transmission was shot and the axels were broken, and I had no idea how bad that all was. Had my car for just over a year now. 2nd car I have purchased and love subaru. I would give this dealer 5 stars for them going out of there way in location the exact wrx I was looking for. My reason for 2 stars is being how my lease termination was handled by one of the sales managers. Returned my lease with 2 payments left to take a new model. Specifically told them I had 2 left during trade In and wanted them to take care of and I would take a newer model. Was fine with them adding it to the next lease or purchase and they said it would be taken care of. So a month later I noticed car still under my name and late payment notices being sent to me. Called the dealer back and spoke with the sales manager. He then said I was supposed to pay the car. Explain how would it make sense for me to make 2 car payments for 1 car. Manager lied and tried to cover his mistake and in the end I had to come out of my pocket. It was such a problem going back and forth with them that when they said once I got my lease termination paper I could call back and see "IF" they would do anything. In the end I had to pay an extra $400 dollars that they should have covered. Did not waste my time with them any further and just let it be. This goes under the title 'No Good Deeds Go Unpunished". I actually had a good experience buying the car. The problem is - I can't drive it, register it or get insurance for it because they made some clerical errors that they refuse to fix. Somehow they issued the wrong vin number . Until they send me a live signature on the corrected paperwork with the corrected vin I cant use the car. It has been 15 days and 8 phone calls later- and crickets. I am a great customer- I ordered the car I wanted, it came early ( yeah ) I was so happy- came the next day, paid cash for the car and a warranty , loved the sales and finance staff but upper management doesn't seem to care that I cant actually drive the car until they send me the corrected paperwork. Keep in mind- I live in Arizona and they told me I had to trailer the car from California to Arizona- so I did. They phone bombed me 12 times when I was on the 40 freeway in the middle of the Mojave desert in 60 mph wind gusts to get me to sign paperwork to correct their mistake. I accommodate them and 16 days later I still can't drive the car. I think they need to come to Arizona and take the car back since it is of no use to me. Wouldn't you think it would have been easier to send me one document with a live signature as required by Arizona DOT? As a side note, the last call I got asked me why I couldn't get the Arizona DOT to change their rules regarding signatures. Well- I guess I will call the Governor and let them know Timmons wants the DOT requirements changed because they dont feel like walking to the mailbox. Again, the folks that do the work are fabulous. My last comment is- upper management seems to think they can blame the workers for their mistakes. That really annoys me- as a small business owner I would never let one of my staff take the blame - it's just wrong. I know when lower level staff is directed. And Henrys follow up with us after the purchase has been way above the call of duty of what we expected. If you are able to work with him, then I would say you will be blessed. And I do not say this about anyone unless I feel they are deserving. But this is only part of it. Mike in the finance office is just as exceptional. And I can say the same for Timmons customer service as well. In early February we purchased a 2021 Crosstrek Limited. And we absolutely love it.........!! We Told Henry what we needed to do to make this work for us, and he came through. Our Crosstrek is the most comfortable and easy driving vehicle we have ever experienced......... We feel totally safe and secure while driving it.
