Great little place for lunch! It reminds me of my favorite sandwich place in Atlanta. I am so happy to have heard about such a great sandwich place. I ordered the buffalo bill and my boyfriend ordered the Texan so we could share. It is hands down one of the BEST sandwich places I have ever visited. Both Panini's were super flavorful and DELICIOUS.You must try the chipotle mayo, it is super good.They come with small potato sticks and a very small cookie, which in my opinion is perfect because the Panini's are a pretty good size. Food - I had the John Wayne panini, super tasty! I thought the potato sticks would be kinda throw-away, but they were actually pretty good, crunchy and salty, just as good as getting chips. And a tiny cookie? Pretty great. I wasn't crazy about the tea; I was excited they had flavors (blueberry and ginger peach) but they were pretty mild and none were sweet. Not bad, just not great. Atmosphere - I couldn't quite figure out what look they're going for but it's cute and comfortable. Looks like a lunch place :) they were busy at noon, with a dining room full of happy people. The food is GREAT!!! I ended up going two days in a row, it was so good. First day I had the 1/2 pastrami and tomato bisque. LOVE Tin Cup!! Delicious food--definitely sub the winter salad for the fry sticks!--and great atmosphere. I like ordering around the menu, but my mom gets the Annie Oakley every. Single. Time. and my kids are crazy about their grilled cheese and lemonade. They were so helpful when my oldest decided he was too big for the kids meal, and made him a grilled-cheese-and-meat sandwich of his own design. Heard great reviews about this place and was disapointed. No flavor, nothing impressive and the sloppy scraps of potato sticks was embarrassing to me. My sandwich came with avocado and what made this horrible was using the packaged avocado/guac. Doesn't taste the same as fresh and threw my whole sandwich off. My wife and I have been coming to Tin Cup for years and always get the same thing. High noon and Texan. Always great. The tea is to die for. My wife loves the pumpkin spice tea and it will be back in season in October. The staff is really friendly. Love to support them since they are a local mom and pop store. It was my first time here and as I usually do when I go to a place for the first time I took a while deciding on my order but they were patient with me. Now the food - I had a Alamo (a chicken sandwich) which was pretty gud. The place itself is small, neat and nice and its just a 10 min walk from Uta campus. The only reason I gave them a 3 star rating is because I was expecting it to be more like a coffee bar where they made ur coffee but it was not so and I really hate to pay for my coffee and then have to make it myself too. That's just me no fault of the place. But other than that liked the place would definitely go again(but just for the sandwich) In short nice, affordable and a place with some good service. read more

1. Paninis are the best thing here. They have a lot of different paninis, but many of them are similar. The big differences are in the meats, the sauces, and whether the sandwich comes with avocado or not. Black Gold and Buffalo Bill are top tier, in my opinion. 2. A rotating menu of good soups and great deserts that change daily. Owner freely admits that a lot of the deserts are his mother-in-law's recipes rather than his own. Points for honesty. 3. Best self serve coffee outside of Cafe Brazil in DFW. They usually have a dark roast, cinnamon, blueberry, and a decaf. 4. Service is friendly and quick. Prices are around $10 for a sandwich and drink. Overall, an excellent choice for lunch. One area for improvement might be in the sides that come with the sandwich, but otherwise, I think the owner has it figured out. read more

This place has some incredible sandwiches. I guess it is the quality of the meats, breads, and cheeses. I believe they use Boar's Head meats. Obviously that is reflected in the cost. However, you can still get a sandwich and a tea for about $9. All the sandwiches come with thin string potato chips and a mini cookie. To me, that makes up for it. If you thought Jimmy John's was a fast sandwich joint, this place is faster and much much tastier. I love their fruit infused teas and their cookies. They make a mean panini. I love their grilled California chicken sandwich because the chicken is moist and they don't skimp on the avocados. Their parking sucks because they don't have many spaces to begin with, so be prepared to park in the adjacent shopping center.
