I have been to Tin Cup a few times. They never disappoint. We ordered lots of different items on the menu for a large group. Everyone liked their order. Some that did not order were a little jealous and regreted not ordering. I ordered The High Noon. It was super flavorful, a good portion and all around a great sandwich. The potato soup was pretty bland, it's ok, everything else they serve is tasty. The service is awesome. I ordered to-go and it was ready very shortly after I arrived. They have a "home town" feel to their resturant. They sell merch/t-shirts. Tin Cup is defintely becoming an Arlingon staple. We ordered banana pudding for our whole group. Came here for lunch, it was pretty busy but they have lots of seating. This place is mostly paninis and salads. I ordered the pastrami and Swiss panini it comes with potato sticks and a cookie. Our food came fast and I tried some of my mom's chicken salad sandwich, it was very good. My High Noon sandwich was absolutely amazing, so many different flavors. The potatoe sticks were interesting and I liked the cookie. I love this well established gem here in Arlington. Humble little building, but healthy, Fresh and very reasonable prices. The sandwiches are made fresh and delicious soup daily, are are must for takeout lunch! They also have a great variety of herbal teas to select from daily. I stopped by recently for lunch since I was in the area and I was so happy to see the food has stayed consistent over the years. My go-to's are the paninis or a half panini/half salad combo. You really can't go wrong with any of their sandwich options but my top favorites are The Alamo, Black Gold, California Gold, and the Doc Holliday. Everything is delicious and has a hearty taste. Still one of my favorite sandwich shops! Been coming here for 10+ years and the quality hasn't changed one bit. If anything, I appreciate it more since the college days because I know how many crappy ones are out there. The bread is always fresh, the portions are perfect, the service is fast. But to that end, let my lack of picture speak volumes about how good it was. I definitely recommend eating it as soon as possible, because then the bread is still nice and warm and nothing goes soggy. A lovely establishment. I got half a Greek salad and half of The Alamo sandwich, which came out to be about $9. The Alamo sandwich was amazing, and I'll definitely get it again in the future. The Greek salad is what it is. I came in a bit late, around an hour prior to them closing, however all of the workers welcomed me and served with a smile. If you show up too late, the kitchen staff will have already cleaned up and be ready to leave, so I advise people to plan ahead. Ambiance was great. Hubby and I were in the mood for a 'date lunch' and I offered three ideas. He picked this one and boy, was it a winner! Walked in, ordered at the counter, got our drinks and they brought the food rather quickly. I was going to go w/chicken salad, but hubby proclaimed that 'boring', so I opted for 1/2 of the John Wayne panini and a cup of the tomato bisque. The soup was piping hot, with chunks of tomatoes and a creamy consistency...very good. The John Wayne had plenty of ham, turkey and pastrami, and was adorned with lettuce, tomato, red onion and chipotle mayo. It came in a basket with potato sticks (flashback to my childhood) and a really good little tiny chocolate chip cookie. Hubby ordered The Alamo panini, which was stuffed with grilled chicken, mozzarella cheese, chives, tomatoes, sun-dried tomatoes, avocado and chipotle mayo. His was also served in a basket with potato sticks and the cookie. He said it was one of the best paninis he'd ever had. I added a slice of coconut cream pie, which he doesn't normally like. One fork please, to penalize him for the 'boring' crack about my first choice of chicken salad. Overall, he is NOT a fan of coconut, but on two occasions (by my official count) I had to wrest my fork from his sweaty little hand! The cashier heard our banter about the 'boring' chicken salad and she laughed and said 'Don't be judgy, it's not boring....it's made with chipotle mayo'. She was fun, professional and very personable. She also mentioned I could just get a scoop of chicken salad for about $3.50 or I could do the 1/2 sandwich and 1/2 salad and chicken salad could be the salad. Filed that little tidbit away for next time. Drinks included five different kinds of freshly made iced tea. The atmosphere is casual, comfortable and it almost was like hanging out with old friends after school. They have two smaller rooms in back that might be good for larger parties or club meetings.
