My wife had the mango chicken which she liked. I wish we would have seen the whole menu on the website as there are some snack type foods and salads we didn't know about until we got there. This is the place to go if you are looking for a "fast casual" dining experience! The interior is beautiful and makes you feel like you are sitting on a patio right in the middle of a busy city. I used to only order takeout from Tin Drum, but not anymore! All of their food is cooked to order in a 1000 degree wok, which definitely elevates the quality of the food. They recently added new options to their menu aside from the stir fry and noodle options that we all know and love. A long time fan of Tin Drum but since I moved I rarely get a chance to enjoy. On a recent trip in Decatur I thought I would indulge in what I remembered being so good. I was unfortunately disappointed. I ordered the Phuket Woon Sen. it was nothing like it used to be. It was now a semi dry dish without the sauce I dearly loved. The veggies were not as fresh and crisp and the chicken was overcooked and rubbery, cut in a manor of frozen square strips. One piece was so grisly that I couldn't even chew it. And then I chomped down on a piece of bone. This location, which had been my go to has become my no go to. Two stars for the effort. read more

The new Tin Drum location in Decatur is great! There are several things that sets this Tin Drum apart from the rest. 1. Clean and modern decor - not that I want to rag on the other Tin Drums that I've been to, but yeah... would say cleanliness was maybe not as a high priority. This location has ample space, good seating options and it's just...clean! 2. Great service - the servers were very attentive and followed up periodically to see that everything was going well 3. Saved the best for last - this location has items that are not at other Tin Drum locations. I have already gone twice in the last few weeks to get the Sumo Soba Salad. It is fresh. It is spicy. It is delicious. I've also tried the chicken potstickers. Although good, they did not get me as excited as the salad. This was a very easy place to go to with my kids. It's fast and budget-friendly. It also helps...and doesn't help :)... that they sell Asian snacks/drinks at the counter. My kids lo...lo...love the jellies that they sell. I have ordered from another location, so I knew what the food should taste like. I ordered my favorite- chicken lettuce wraps & matcha tea with blueberries. It took FOREVER to receive my food & even then, no one called my name or order number. They just put it on the counter and walked away. After about 20 minutes, I walked up to the counter and found my bag myself. I noticed something smelt and looked off about my lettuce wraps when I opened the container. As I ate it, it tasted horrible and was very mushy. It didn't have the amazing flavor I had experienced at another location- it tasted old and like it had been sitting out for a while. The matcha tea I got wasn't up to par either, but it was tolerable. It was too sweet (even though I ordered it less sweet). Will NOT be coming back to this location. read more

New favorite! I ordered through DoorDash and there were options to substitute meaty every main dish with vegetarian options. So glad I came across it. I had the Veggie Spring Roll, Spicy Mango Bowl, and Tokyo fries. All three are 10/10. I highly recommend trying the mango bowl if you love mango and spice together. The spring rolls are delicious but it's only 1 for $2 which doesn't feel like a great value. The Tokyo fries were unique and very delicious, any sriracha lover will appreciate them. Very impressed with this place. Ordered a chicken meal and wow it was so good and the portions were more than plenty! The customer service was also very good and the people working were extremely nice and friendly. The actual food was delicious and the chicken was tasty. My granddaughter and I went to Tin Drum yesterday. We had been there several times before and liked the food very much. I ordered a Panko Sriracha Chicken Sandwich and Tokyo fries which I had ordered before. While I am not too impressed when restaurants serve frozen crinkle cut fries when you order french fries at a restaurant, previously the sesame oil and spices sprinkled on the fries made it palatable. This time there was no sesame oil or spices on the fries. I felt like I was eating ground cardboard. The chicken on my sandwich was very dry and tough too. When I brought it to the attention of someone from the corporate office who happened to be there delivering boxes, he was very apologetic and replaced the order. The replacement was fine. read more

This is probably the worst tin Drum I've been too yes the food is out in a hurry which is always good especially coming there on my lunch break but the food is ALWAYS HALF DONE !!!! It was pretty descent when the restaurant first opened I noticed the staff there has changed as well it went from a mixed staff to fully Hispanic and I must say that ITS DEFINITELY NOTICEABLE !!! Steak is always too red in the middle And the padwoon doesn't even look edible most days !!
