Chinatown Lo Mein
Serene L.

This restuarant is in the same lot as Whole Foods 365 therefore parking in this strip mall is easy and plentiful. Tin Drum is a restaurant serving Pan Asian food. So you'll be able to sample many different types of noodle/rice dishes as well as stir-frys. If you love boba tea, you'll be delighted to know they have a small to medium selection. We ordered Tonkotsu Ramen with Char Siu. I like the serving portion. Looked small but actually very filling. The noodles were sufficient. The broth was tasty but could do with less salt. The egg that came with the Ramen was hard-boiled, I wish it was soft-boiled (6-min egg) but it's ok. I loved the bean sprouts, green onions in there - lifted the dish. The Char Siu was seared to perfection. The other order we had was the Chinatown Lo Mein. Again, the serving looked small but was sufficient. Overall a little sweet, which is unusual as most Chinese noodles aren't made sweet. Thus this was a twist to the dish that I did not like. We also ordered 2 drinks: Yuzu Lemon with Strawberry Popping Boba & TDAK Dragon Fruit Fizz. Both were too sweet. I took both home and added more ice & water - 4 drinks for the price of 2! Yay! I wished I could request for 50% sweetness.

DO NOT EAT HERE! This is my final sign to stop eating out for lunch. Literally, I have been striking out all week. I spent $23! For a bowl of rice, probably equivalent to 10 cents of what they paid for it, meant to be fried rice which I asked for, it was white rice, and less than a middle finger, exactly what Tin Drum gave me, amount of chicken. It was supposed to be sesame chicken, no sesame at all. I paid so much for nothing. I'm really upset and need a refund. Food worth half what I paid. Now, the service, or lack there of. This place is so cheap, they charge for everything and give nothing. I wanted a drink, $3.25. I want a side of sauce that they could have given on the side? $2. For it to not even be good food, they have lost it. FYI, Yelp needs to not partner or offer codes for this place because I checked in, it said free crab cheese roll. They did not honor it. I don't think I have ever been somewhere so cheap they did honor a Yelp check in promotion. The crab roll was as small as your thumb, and not even good, because I paid for one. I already spent $23, you refuse to honor that a $2 nasty flat crab roll? New low. This eatery, because places like this need to be called what they are, a place to eat. They're not even on par to be referred to as restaurants, is trash. No exaggeration. The entire staff is trash. The dude with the dreads, the fake manager with the braids, the owners relatives in the back cooking TV dinner food for over $20 a pop, they are all awful and corrupt and have such nasty, don't care, attitudes. I remember Tin Drum opening at perimeter years ago. It was better service and quality. I'm mad at myself for giving them my money. Never again. I will be requesting a for a refund. I didn't finish the food. Do not ever eat here. Go hungry first. They price gouge and wouldn't give away a prayer even though it's free. Horrible service. I know customer service is dead especially at these eateries, but this is a new level. Just nasty. Negative stars for this one.

First time at this location. I ordered online, and picked up my order inside. I only ordered the firercracker cauliflower, because I've been craving it soooo bad and saw that they had it! I will say, although I ordered online, I did have to wait an extra 5mins before my food was ready. Other than that all was well. Customer service was good for a busy BUSY Friday evening. It seemed clean inside. it was sooo busy, but the workers got the orders out the best that they could. The cauliflower was 9/10 so good and spicy, but really really good. I wasn't even tripping that it wasn't chicken. lol. I recooked trying it!

The food was good and it was hot and fresh! The service was really good. They were very helpful! The restaurant was very clean. I will definitely go back!

Japanese Teriyaki

Nice customer service as I was greeted promptly. My Japanese Chicken Teriyaki was cooked fresh to order and it was brought to my table in less than 10 minutes. This was my first time having the Japanese version of this dish. Very flavorful but next time I'll add shrimp! Nice relaxing ambiance and the music wasn't bad. I'd also like to commend the staff for the cleanliness.

Two sides of rice equal one full box? Rip off

Two order of white rice and the boxes are over halfway empty. That's absolutely ridiculous.

It was sooo goood! Some of the best Asian food I've had in GA. It's was quick to get out and the food was all fresh. The cashier was patient and told us everything we needed to know, the place was soo beautiful as well, very clean and it smelt just like food!

Most Thai places I've been to serve this with a tad bit more lettuce however it would probably become mushy when ordering for delivery. It's super flavorful. I order it with medium spice and sometimes it can seem like too much of a kick. But it's a good burn. I also order the pad Thai medium. It doesn't seem as spicy as the beef salad and packs flavor. The drunken noodles are solid as well. I honestly haven't had anything from here that I didn't enjoy, however sometimes the pad Thai can be a bit greasy. On my latest delivery, they also included a little brownie complimentary which I found to be very thoughtful. I hope this place sticks around! (Wherever it is lol)

Today we ordered the diced beef, kung pao chicken, and orange chicken. The spicy beef had the perfect kick without being overwhelming, with tender slices of beef coated in a rich, bold sauce. Crispy, saucy, and perfectly glazed -- not too sticky or overly sweet. One thing we always appreciate is the portion size. I will admit it was a bit too sweet for my liking but it was still good and edible. It came with a side of steamed rice. Another thing to mention- idk if it's me eating veggies straight from the ground the last 2 years or what, but the veggies taste fake and waxy. They were good, but for some reason, they didn't taste natural and not sure why. I still ate them though. I was impressed to see that they have happy hour 3-6 M-F and some other specials. All of us tried variants of Pho --- all excellent. We also tried fresh Spring and Fried rolls --- very tasty. If you visit in the winter months and get cold easily, sit in the booths. During our visit, overhead air ducts were pushing out cold air on the chairs and tables situated in the center of the restaurant and it became uncomfortable for us after sitting for more than 30 minutes. I have never in my life had Americanized Thai food (or at least been conscience of it) but this tasted every bit of that. Not a single Thai national or descendant cooking or dining in here... I should have slid out the door upon noticing this but we were HONGRY and this place was walking distance. I appreciate the big portions to help alleviate the hunger, but the food going down wasn't even close to a real Thai experience. And the general ambience was definitely off. It's unclear whether this is a casual to-go spot or a sit-down spot or a bar. The service here was confusing. You have to order drinks separately from your food, for one. Secondly, it took a solid 10 minutes for a bartender to walk behind the bar and begrudgingly explain to me what they have available. I would have ordered more but her attitude made me close the tab after one beer. We didn't get served water until after we received our food, a solid 15-20 min after being in the restaurant. It generally felt like no one wanted to be there, and the staff were just moving independently to complete tasks instead of creating a dining experience *together*. There was not a smile from a single person I interacted with. I'd most likely not return purely because the dining experience is just plain out uncomfortable. On to the food. Mostly oil and noodles except for the papaya salad, which was... okay. Again, big portions. Nice heat. But just okay. The whole cherry tomatoes on top were a little weird and screamed laziness. The tofu kee mao was... okay. Same for the chicken pad thai. Lots of oil. This food made us feel pretty tired after eating it, which I've rarely experienced eating Thai cuisine. And they were very, very stingy with the protein. My husband counted 4-5 little slivers of chicken and hella noodles. The same was true for my tofu dish. I mean... it's tofu y'all. Cheap. But I can imagine they have to cut these corners because there were about 8 staff members running around in a small space with only a few customers in for happy hour. They do have HH deals on drinks depending on the day, but I found the drinks to be overpriced and not worth it. Especially the beer. And a $10 non-alcoholic cocktail is wild imo, especially for the scanty area this area is in. They are certainly milking the fact that they are in eyeshot of the Mercedes Benz stadium. The inside is beautiful and very ~trendy~ and honestly that tells me exactly where the focus is. I'd rate this a 2, but I'm adding a star for the spotless restrooms.
