I've been to Tipsy putt a few times now with friends and for various events. They often have special nights going on which adds to the already exciting setting. Upstairs is the speakeasy and downstairs you'll find putt putt and duffleboard options as well as a bar with a great selection of local beers and Acheson wine is available too! I prefer to come here when it's not as busy and it does seem like their fun themed nights and extra entertainment (like BINGO) bring in some great crowds. Check out social media and their website for more details. They offer Mexican food options as well that pair well the the beer on draft and options like nachos are great for sharing as well. I prefer to take rideshare when I'm coming here as parking can be expensive, but some of the businesses here validate (I don't think Tipsy Putt is one, but I could be wrong). This place is great! But let me be very clear: I DID NOT HAVE ANY ALCOHOL! If you don't believe, you can ask Kan or Kevin!! Yes all 3 of us dads were there! We also had a bunch of kids! However, we found out that kids play free! Well, at least on weekends before 5pm. Well at least according to one of the servers! The other server was not so gracious... why does different staff give different service? Good help is so hard to find these days!! Anyway, we had a great time with the kids. It's a great spot for a date night, hanging with a group of friends, kicking after an event downtown or just tired of the same old routine. They have miniature golf, cornhole and duffleboard as well as various other games. They have TVs so you don't miss the Kings getting their butt kick. Haha jk They have tons of food options. Parking nearby is absolutely atrocious - either relatively expensive garages or street parking that is very limited, expensive, and with a ton of nearby homeless. Very difficult to get to and coordinate for logistics if you're trying to meet up w/ friends. May need to consider a rideshare and/or if you're already in the area for another event. The putting greens are very limited and tiny - maybe only the size of a small bar overall between the 9 holes. The tabletop putt putt golf is unique, but the variations and course options are pretty limited, and the game gets repetitive pretty quickly. The overall design of the course isn't too creative, and each hole seems relatively similar to the previous. Food is decent bar fare and gastropub fare, and you also have to pick it up at the window when it's ready. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but it is downtown. Drinks are decent but also a bit on the pricier side for a simple 16 oz beer. Staff is friendly and courteous, trying to make sure everyone has a good time. Overall, wouldn't necessarily make a trip out of coming here, but if you're already in the area and looking to hang out or relax before a Kings game, it's an OK place to grab a beer and a taco while you're waiting. read more

I stopped by Tipsy Putt as part of a Friendsgiving celebration, and it was a lot of fun! Tipsy Putt has everything you need to keep a good time going. When you head downstairs, there's a bar in the center surrounded by entertainment and on the perimeters, you'll find lots of tables and booths. My group was able to find a table that comfortably fit all eight of us on a Friday night. We all ordered drinks and half of us decided to play a quick round of putt putt. I ordered the Italian Wedding Cake shooter, and it was the perfect pick me up! It's vodka based, which usually isn't my first choice, but it was tasty and easy to down. I love Tipsy Put! It's like an adult playground. Tipsy Put has miniature golf course, a table top shuffleboards and a lot of fun beer games such as giant Jenga, and corn hole. Date night and looking for something new and fun to check out! I came across this place on Instagram and thought let's give it a go. Went on a weekend around nighttime and it was packed. The interior down stairs is really spacious with lots of tables and chairs to sit in both small or large parties. They have about five holes for mini golf and another five to ten for table top golf. There's jenga and a few other games. LOTS of beer selection, couple of mixed drinks and even hard cider. I discovered a new cider while there that I absolutely love and recommend by Sudwerk called Raspberry Funhouse. For snacks we ordered the street tacos (achiote chicken & bomb barbacoa), elote corn, and flatstick nachos. The food was fresh, had flavor and was absolutely amazing! We really enjoyed the street tacos and elote the most. I was unexpressed by the miniature golf so I grabbed some tacos and a cider before leaving and I was pleasantly surprised. The birria tacos were a 4/5, and the consomme was flavorful. We went downstairs where the minigolf games were and met our party there. Wasn't really expecting alot of people to be there since the next day was a Monday, but there was a decent amount. There really wasn't anyone there to tell us how it works and how the games go, we had to figure it out ourselves. From the bar, I only had a watermelon cider. It was pretty good even though I am not a beer person, it had a pretty light taste but still hit strong, lol. Luckily it wasn't too crowded during our game so we didn't feel rushed and could have fun. There are 9 holes in a compact area; some are pretty easy, some are a little difficult, all are fun. I do wish they had more especially with the name being Tipsy Putt, but we enjoyed it nonetheless. Tons of seating all around! & a great variety of seating at that. To order food you go to a window and order via a digital screen (I believe you can order from a person as well but I didn't see anyone besides the cook). You'll get a text message once your order is ready. Definitely take advantage of their rewards program because I got a few bucks off each time. I ordered the chicken nachos and churro donuts. Both were okay but I'm not sure if I would get the nachos again. They also have a large jenga set ( I'm not sure if there are more sets available) and my friend saw playing cards lying around somewhere. Not sure if they have more games, but it would be great if they did. Given that eventually it gets a bit busy (we were there early evening on a Saturday) and besides mini golf, it's overall a sports bar.. which is cool too. Went in with a group of six for mini golf and drinks. We were helped by a guy behind the bar that had a sour attitude from the jump. When we were paying for mini golf, we were explaining that two people would be on one tab and the other two people were on separate tabs for three tabs in total for four players. The guy didn't understand what we wanted after explaining multiple times, and then kept pointing and talking at me saying I was saying we had more players when that wasn't the case. He clearly got overwhelmed and once he finally made sense of the number of players and the number of tabs, he then called me rude and tried to berate me in front of the other people in the group. One of the people in our group later talked to the manager about our interaction and the manager didn't have anything to say other than thanks for letting him know. As someone who's worked in food service for years, this is piss poor customer service by both the guy behind the bar and the manager. Just say you don't care about your patrons. This place is fun (only reason for the 2 stars) but my friends and I definitely don't like giving our money to places with poor customer service like this so we definitely won't be back in the future. read more

We all have our own unique experiences and opinions, but I'm absolutely lost as to how this location has such a high Yelp rating. For me, customer service is very important and I'm not talking about somebody fake smiling or feigning interest in small talk type customer service, I'm talking about acknowledging customers and treating them with respect. I had five separate interactions with staff at this location over the weekend and they were all poor with one exception. The first interaction was standing at the cash register waiting for the three employees to finish their discussion before someone acknowledged us so that we could pay. That interaction wasn't very good because they didn't listen to us and then charged us for something we didn't want and then had to redo the transaction. That could have been chalked up to a misunderstanding had there not been a pattern of rude behavior from the employees. Add that to being ignored again when trying to order a drink and then having the employee come towards me only to take the order of the "dude" who was literally behind me, first. Then later we had the super pleasant experience of setting our things down on an empty table so that we could use the restrooms, only to have a staff member come over and tell us that the area was reserved for a party 30 minutes from that time and that now he would have to "just wipe down this whole section again." The only positive interaction we had at all was a short tutorial from Titus who was absolutely awesome . One positive interaction out of five is 20% which is failing your customers in my opinion. It's also clear that a lot of people who are reviewing this location are not playing golf or duffle board, because that whole situation is a chaotic mess. We were a group of five and there were three or four other groups but there is a terrible bottleneck because it's a small space and everyone that comes in just has to stand around waiting for the people in front of them. After a few holes we just started moving around to whatever was open, and playing the holes out of order so that we weren't standing around waiting. We really tried to make the best of it, but most people just stood there. Our main motivation for wanting to get through the golf, was because it was so incredibly hot inside this location. The golf is downstairs and we were all still sweating, like seriously sweating. It wasn't comfortable and it wasn't fun. Like I said, we did our best to have a good time anyway. I tried keeping it fun, dancing a bit and enjoying my drinks, but I think my favorite part of my experience was when it was time to leave. This place isn't cheap, and it definitely isn't well organized. With the excessive heat and apathetic service, Tipsy Putt would only get one star from me, but Titus was a bright spot so I have to give another star just for him. read more

We went here for our 42nd anniversary, something new and different. The bartender was fantastic, very nice, helpful and there were a few customers drinking and chatting. The bartender suggested a drink, and it was fantastic. The food was good, service was good, and the atmosphere was very good. I was in the process today of putting together a group of us for a meeting in Sacramento at Tipsy Putt, and as I was reviewing my receipt from that day in September, I was stunned to find a charge for employee Health and benefit fee. I would never knowingly visit an establishment that would feel comfortable to put this on a receipt. This tells me you do not value your employees nor do you value your employees' privacy. I am so, so sad, but unfortunately we will not be visiting any Tipsy Putt ever again. I won a giveaway and came here when it wasn't too busy on a Friday for a cute date night! It was so fun and cool to have a place like this! Drinks were good and very strong which was great. At any other bar it typically takes me a few drinks to get buzzed/drunk, however after this drink I had a nice buzz. Until the Yelp Elite event that I just attended, I had never even heard of the game Flatstick, or the establishment formerly of the same name. Also if you're of the 21 and older crowd Tipsy Putt has a bar with a large selection of drinks (40 beers alone from IPA's to Sours, that support local breweries). Because they were a special event going on here on this particular day, along with the standard crowd.There was a good amount of people here, and they ended up running out of one of the more popular drinks. Which I was in the middle of ordering, but just canceled and came back later for two others. I ended up ordering one of their 10 oz Sours, which was about $8 and then the total came the machine asked it was wanted to tip a default 20% or more. 20% if pretty steep to be defaulted too, but I have no problem changing to something lower which I did. While I was ordering at the bar my girlfriend met me here ordered the Birria Quesadilla's and soft Pretzels, which surprisingly came out to be just under $30 ($30 with tip). So the food definitelyisn't cheap. I could maybe see the Quesadilla's being $14 for 4 of them, although they are on the smaller side. But two small basic soft pretzels being essentially $7 each, doesn't make as much sense IMO.
