A cute little neighborhood donut spot with a lot of variety, without skimping on quality. Their selection of blueberry items is a unique feature, and every option is delicious. I also am a huge fan of their maple and chocolate bars, they're very soft with perfect icing. They also have hot sandwiches, bagels, cronuts, croissants, there's seriously a lot to choose from. I feel lucky to live within walking distance so I can come get my breakfast fix whenever I want. I love TK Donuts! I'm obsessed with blueberry donuts. My go-to is usually Rose Donuts but the Linda Vista location is too far from me and the one on Convoy often runs out of the blueberry donuts. The only other place that I know of that sometimes carries is it Golden Donuts on Governor. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that TK offers their own version, but instead it's a blueberry glazed donut. I first came here about two months ago and I've already been back 4 times! My son's beach volleyball team was having their last regular season practice on one of the beach volleyball courts around Mission Bay, which would be followed by an end of season party. This party was organized by one of the parents and we were told that we could bring whatever we wanted. The party was from 9 to 11 am, which made it difficult for me to choose what to bring. Since the time was within the breakfast time hour, I decided on donuts, but I was not familiar with any of the donut places near Mission Bay. As I always do, I turned to my Yelp app and found the highly rated TK Donuts. TK Donuts is located in the Clairemont Mesa area, specifically a small outdoor strip mall. TK is next to Roberto's Taco Shop and a local Clairemont coffee shop. It's a quaint donut shop with three tables inside to enjoy their donuts. I noticed right away their fully stocked display case of donuts, which was a sight to behold with their array of colors, flavors, and styles of donuts. Inside the shop, you can tell the owners value cleanliness, which gives off the impression that someone cares. Speaking about owners, not sure if the Asians behind the counter were them, but what really stood out for me was their friendly customer service. I was greeted as I entered the shop and were so accommodating as I selected my donuts. After I ordered my two dozen donuts, they threw in two extra donuts, which was really nice of them. As I said above, you notice right away the large assortment of donuts, which consists of traditional donuts and beautiful specialty donuts. For two dozen, I paid a little over $22, so a dozen is approximately $11. I didn't order any specialty donuts, but based off what I saw, I will definitely try those the next time I'm in the area. From reading their reviews, TK is also known for their breakfast sandwiches, which is another thing I need to try when I visit again. I ate their glazed buttermilk and a maple bar. The donuts were tasty and I really enjoyed them, but they were similar to what I've eaten at other local donut shops. I'm just happy that there is another option for delicious and quality donuts in another part of San Diego. When we had the party after practice, another parent brought a box of donuts, which meant that my two dozen wasn't completely consumed and I was able to bring TK'a donuts home. If you're looking for a donut place that has an impressive collection of donuts, is a clean and welcoming place to hang out, and has stellar customer service, TK Donuts will be your go to place. read more

I visited TK Donuts this morning, stood in line patiently, waited for my turn -- only to have the employee completely overlook me and help the person behind me instead (who appeared to be a regular). The employee asked him if he was ordering his usual iced coffee and ham & cheese croissant, and she rang up his order before even acknowledging me. I understand taking care of regulars, but it shouldn't come at the expense of newer customers who are waiting their turn. read more

Was actually walking to another restaurant when I passed this place. It honestly smelled soo amazing, I just had to stop here and try their donuts. For the blueberry donut alone, I'm happy I did! It wasn't overly sweet and you could definitely taste the blueberry in every bite! The lemon custard filled one wasn't as great, sadly. The lemon wasn't spread out, but only had a large dollop in the very center of the donut. They should have cut the donut in half or something to get it spread out more evenly. read more

I've been coming here the past few months for donuts & breakfast sandwiches & there's a reason why I keep coming back! The food is so good every time I come. I usually get egg & sausage (cheese included) on an everything bagel & their everything bagels have the perfect amount of onion on it. Sausage and egg are tasty while being soft. Also tried the bacon & egg on a croissant & the croissant is so soft, flaky & buttery & the sandwich is huge! Of course the donuts are always a stand out. Always get a chocolate and maple bar and the chocolate and maple icing are sweet and flavorful. The donut itself is so light and fluffy. I ordered a chocolate croissant and a chocolate, custard-filled donut. So good--the donut was jam packed with custard to the brim and the croissant was the same but with chocolate! Their donuts are fluffy and are not too sweet! I'm a basic girl. I love their donut holes, glazed donuts, and blueberry donuts. I mainly come here for their sandwiches and green milk tea. Their green milk teas are one of my favorites, and I'm a bubble tea snob. They make excellent bubble tea drinks! There aren't too many bubble tea shops in the area, so this fulfills my needs! Right after I discovered the place, the new owner acquired the business and added drinks, sandwiches and new donut flavors to the menu. All exceeded my expectations. My regular order usually include but not limited to a #1 (ham egg and cheese croissant), Thai tea w/ boba, and blueberry donut holes. This team are the most friendly hard working people and truly are grateful for your business.
