Unfortunately didn't get a picture of my food last night but I got the Texan burger (don't eat seafood but was visiting with friends). Overall the burger was great tasting, though a bit too rare for my liking. Very pink on the inside. My friend asked for it to be well done and hers came out just as pink inside as mine. Overall though, the flavor was great! Very nice ingredients together, I enjoyed the taste of the burger but did get a little weirded out near the end with how raw it sort of felt in the middle once it got cold. The potato chips that it came with were pretty burnt and not that good. The ambience was also pretty good. Our waiter checked on us a good amount and refilled our water pitcher pretty consistently! OK, so I really like this place because you can walk around in this area and have a whole afternoon out. The parking is free and it is in a garage right across the street. Inside it's nice and cool and the outside looks like they had misters, which is a double plus w any outdoor patio. My order included a dozen oysters and a chicken salad sandwich and a beer on tap. I would definitely recommend stopping by this place you can't go wrong. They also have a lobster on the menu which I think would be fun to check out. Party of 3. Our 1st time here. Late night on a Saturday. No wait, not crowded. Sat immediately upon walking in. Picnic table seating. The menu in IMO had a nice selection of seafood. I walked in prepared to pay $23 for half a lb of snow crab. Prices for crab have been high for quite a while now. The mussels were $9/lb. OK, so I feel bamboozled! We ordered 2 lbs of snow crab, 1/2 lb of mussels, the horseradish Caesar salad, an order of kennebec fries, the Mac & cheese with bacon added, 2 soft drinks, 2 margaritas and a sweet tea smash. We spent $175 before tip. Cons: the snow crab was my BIGGEST issue. They were TINY clusters. We had crawfish shack the week before and these were so much smaller. The mussels once you opened them up, were non-existent. TINY! Definitely a rip off! Sausage didn't come with the crab boil. It had to be purchased separately at $9 lb. The fries were meh... not worth buying. The sides of lemon garlic butter came in an inconvenient metal container and wasn't enough. My daughter had lots of garlic seasoning in hers while I barely had any. I needed simple syrup to add to my sweet tea smash. Pros: We tried the Cajun spice and Texas heat. Pretty good seasonings I will say. Mac &cheese, pretty good. The salad... really good. I'm not a fan of horseradish. I didn't mind it in this salad but I could of done without the cashews. Our waitress was nice. She couldn't answer all of our questions. I'd guess she was new there. Overall it was just ok. 6/10. I can't get over $46/lb of snow crab being so small. And the mussels? This was my first time at TLC, and I was with a large group. The serving staff was amazing and attentive. I never had to flag anyone down for anything. The seating is casual both in and outside. Our table had long benches, which can be a challenge in a dress. Both drinks I ordered were high quality and delicious, and everyone at the table was happy with theirs as well. The entire restaurant is gluten-free friendly, and they were willing to substitute out the garlic butter normally served with the dish I ordered since I can't eat garlic. (And no, I am not a vampire.) The redfish was moist with amazing flavor, and the gluten-free breading was crunchy and delicious. The asparagus was a trifle overcooked, but still tasted great, and the lump crab meat was left to stand on its own, which it did. Great drinks, chill atmosphere, good food. One of my girlfriends and I decided to catch up at TLC, it was a very lowkey spot for a Saturday night. They weren't crowded, we were able to sit outside and what's even better we can order at our own pace via a QR code. If you are a seafood fanatic this is your place. They had many options from yummy greens to fried sides or fresh seafood. The downside, there were many options that were already sold for the day. However, that tells me they serve FRESH seafood. We ordered some fried oysters because I am not a fan of the slimy stuff and I was very impressed. I would definitely order them again. My absolute favorite and what is guaranteed for another visit was the fried okra. Man o' Man was that yummy. I could order that every day and never get bored of it. Do yourself a favor and add the side of fresh ranch. I was not impressed with Cesar Salad, don't get me wrong it has a lot of potential I just could not get passed the extremely overwhelming taste of the horseshoe radish they use in the dressing. I added fresh crab and everything about the salad was delish down to the cashew they dress it with, I just was not able to enjoy it due to the dressing. I even asked for a side of more greens to cut the flavor but it was just way too overwhelming to enjoy. Food is consistently good. They are sometimes out of certain seafood - specifically lump crab and king crab. Charbroiled oysters are delicious, boils are great if they have what you want. Brunch is not the best - wouldn't come back for that meal. Service is always slow and less than stellar even though the place is never packed. Good oysters, seafood boil, and drinks but won't be coming back because our server rubbed me the wrong way and food is overpriced. We went on a Sunday around lunch time and it wasn't busy at all. Come in, seat yourself, scan the QR code and order and pay through your phone. The place is very clean and plenty of space between the tables for social distancing (which is why we wanted to check out TLC). We got a dozen raw gulf oysters, an order of charbroiled oysters (6), lemon garlic mussels, Bloody Mary and Sweet Tea Smash. All of that cost us about $70 with tip which you tip in advance. Probably because if you knew how bad the service was going to be or lack of service, you wouldn't have tipped as much. A bit steep for some appetizers and 2 drinks. I will say everything did taste good but overpriced. The drinks were spot on. TLC looks very hip and cool but the ambiance was nothing like that. First time coming in after checking out photos online (which were awesome), I'm pumped to try this restaurant out but ended up feeling drained and ready to leave as soon as possible. It's a Sunday and it shouldn't be uncommon for me to ask "hey! Out of curiosity do you guys have a happy hour or any specials today?" A simple "No" would have sufficed but instead she proceeded to say, "We're still in a pandemic" with an attitude like she couldn't believe I asked that question and was very annoyed. I was turned off whether or not she meant for it to be like that and we had minimal communication with her after that (which is good for this time but in our case, we just didn't want to "bother" our server). This is my go-to boil when I'm in town! The food is always hot and flavorful. I make sure to get oysters as my apps. It comes with crackers and sauces. The waiter was very informative and made sure we were good every time. The place is very big and even has a bar area. Oysters are currently $1 each and the boil in the picture was around $100. We dropped in here on a Thursday night after watching a movie at the nearby Alamo. There were people there, but it wasn't crowded or very noisy. After seating ourselves, our waitress Desiree, who was very friendly took our order. We ordered fried okra, hush puppies, the enlightenment and fried green beans. They were out of the fried okra but gave us the country green beans on the house. We received our order in a timely fashion. The highlight for me without question was the enlightenment. The flavors and textures were spot on. It is a delicious sandwich. The remainder of the dishes where good but did not stand out. The manager also stopped by our table and checked in with us which I thought was a nice touch as well. Visiting Austin so I decided to stop by here for some crab legs . I'm from Houston where when we order crab legs it comes either in a bag soaking in sauce .. or in a bowl soaking in sauce . Only came here for $1 oysters during happy hour from 3-5:30pm. As with most $1 oysters, I am coming to find, these ones were not worthwhile either. They're on the small side and no taste. I will compliment the cocktail sauce however. Perfect blend of ketchup and horseradish. The plain horseradish, though, was extremely bitter and spicy which may be a plus for some. Other apps are available for $7 during happy hour and I ordered fries also. There were a lot that came in a tray; definitely shareable for a group of 2-3. Food aside, the venue is spacious and fun (though it was rather desolate at 3pm). There is an outdoor patio with turf and cornhole. Service was decent. I waa searching for a place to eat crab legs and came across this place. Best decision I ever made. We started on the patio which was so fun. We had margaritas which were so good. The food is outstanding. The devil eggs super amazing. They have a seafood boil and you can choose what to have on it and how much. We enjoyed crab legs. shrimp, sausage, potatoes and corn. All of it was great. We stayed for hours eating and drinking margaritas. Later we moved inside for dessert. The service was great. Talked to a manager and she was so friendly and really helped to make our night enjoyable. Everything was fantastic. We live in Houston and I only wish we had a place like this. Came here for brunch on Saturday and there was no wait. It became very apparent why there's no wait. The food while looked appetizing on instagram, just wasn't that good. I had high expectations for the brisket skillet hash but was disappointed to find that brisket was dry and flavor was rather bland. The portion was also small so it's a good thing I added an extra egg. Not that it helped much with the dish. Cause the portion was so small, I ordered the banana foster waffle as well cause I was still hungry. The waffle also was not good. I tried asking for extra syrup and they didn't have any but the waffle was not sweet enough for my taste. The caramel they used for the waffle wasn't the normal sweet kind. It was almost spicy tasting. Weird. Overall, the food did not justified the price. You can definitely get better portions with better tasting food for that price in Austin. I had the snow crab boil with the roasted garlic spice and lemon garlic butter (SO tasty), and I've also had the bubba (shrimp poboy) which had awesome flavors I wouldn't have thought to combine (shrimp and jam??? Wish I could say the same about their manager... So I'm 2 drinks in and I'm thinking I need to eat something before I get on the road trip home (I don't live close). Now, also, I had a major surgery on December 12th so physically I cannot eat a lot of food in one sitting. I've been everywhere from Texas Roadhouse to the mom and pops like Evangeline's. Over the last 9 weeks, I've eaten out at LEAST 3-4x each week and 90% of the time-you guessed it- I've ordered off the kids menu, b/c again I can't eat much food at once. NEVER had a problem until I came here. My girlfriends ordered their food, they had drinks also so it's not about being "cheap", it's a physical thing for me. The MANAGER said no. Now, what also got me was, the food on the kids menu I couldn't even order as an ADULT. I could have gotten a salad but people don't eat salads to soak up the alcohol in their stomachs, unfortunately. An exception couldn't have been made? Like wow. Now, not only will I not recommend this place, but none of my girlfriends and I will return b/c of that. He sacrificed his whole reputation and it showed. Not good service and no way would I jeopardize this style service ever again. All b/c I couldn't order off the kids menu... There was a generous portion of corn and potatoes. We tried the Cajun seasoning with Texas seasoning on the side. Cajun was better by a long shot. For appetizers, the calamari was delicious. The foods was great. The server was very nice but after the order came, I had to flag her down for table service. The place wasn't busy but maybe she had other things going on. We needed to get out of the house after 10 months of pandemic. Went to lunch there and it was great. It's a casual but pleasant atmosphere. You have to scan the bar code to get to their website for ordering online, the only way you can order. Of course if you just open the camera app on your phone like they ask, it doesn't necessarily get you to the URL, but it will take a picture of the QR Code. After a few tries we got to the menu. Whoever wrote their software didn't do a particularly good job with usability. It too a few tries to get the two lobster rolls and mimosa added to our cart. Checking out was a hassle too. The blank field for my last name didn't show up as anything but a blank field. After noticing our frustration, someone came over and pointed out that they needed that field filled out as well. The lobster rolls weren't cheap at $35, but they were huge. It appeared to be a whole lobster in each and we're happy we didn't order anything else because lobster is filling. We both finished ours easily but now, an hour later, it's sitting heavy (but nicely) in my very satisfied belly the way lobster does. Lobster is one of our favorites foods.
