The restaurant is quite a nice place to hang out in especially when it's not a rainy day. The food and drinks here are also pretty good. Service is good. Our server ran the bar and nearby tables at the same time. Getting orders were slower but she did her best. I would come back to try the other food but not the boil. The boil was very average. There are better spots for the value. But all else is very good.

After 1.5 half hours of silent disco dancing at Highball, I had worked up an appetite. However, I did not want a full meal, but something to tide me over until I got home. While at Highball you could see the bright lights from TLC, which were alluring. TLC is located on S. Lamar across the street from Highball and the Alamo drafthouse. TLC appeared to have a million Christmas lights both indoors and outdoors. It is a casual restaurant with a Texas twist. You can find comfort food, fresh seafood, and 30+ beers on tap. The furniture is picnic style, which gives off a family friendly vibe. TLC has ample space. As such, it would be great for hosting large groups, families, or friends in a casual environment. Importantly, their patio is dog-friendly and will be well suited for your fur babies. I looked at the appetizer menu and had my heart set up on bacon-wrapped deviled eggs. Sounded so yummy and something I could eat while I drove home. However, the bartender told me they had been wiped out due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Noooooooooo!!! Say it isn't so. Yep, afraid so. Then, I trekked home without food. Once home, I wrestled up some snacks. This venue appears to be super cool. I look forward to returning and enjoying some of their menu items.

Thanks to foodie influencer @austineater, we went to try this place during game day 9/6. Completely flabbergasted to find out that it's been here for six years?! Nonetheless, the food was absolute bomb. We sat at the bar and had an attentive bartender, I think his name was Darren or Garrett (sorry!). I was shocked at how many tables were available during a UT game. This place should not be slept on and I can't figure out why it is. They even had the sound on for the game! We will definitely be back! Oh, also, bartender gave us a $25 off coupon for our next visit!! AND they give out free salt water taffy when you pay! Love that!

Bananas Foster waffle and brisket skillet hash

Went for brunch a few weeks ago with my boyfriend. I got the Bananas Foster Belgian waffle and he got the brisket skillet hash. My waffle was very crispy and golden brown, and the bananas foster topping was sweet and banana-y. I just wish I had gotten a savory side to balance out the flavors. My boyfriend enjoyed his brisket skillet hash, said it was very filling and hearty, and the avocado added some freshness to an otherwise heavy dish. I've been to TLC before for dinner and enjoyed their mac and cheese and fries, always a staple.

SXSW event book signing by Billy Mills

TLC was hosting a SXSW event and so I stopped by to check out the happy hour. I sat at the bar and the bartender was very attentive and accommodating. I ordered the lemon mussels They were out of the TLC premade margarita mix so I was told they could not make the margarita by hand in a shaker. So I had a frozen margarita with tajin. The book signing event by Billy Mills was amazing and he was on hand with his wife and co-author to personally sign the book. There was a spread of food including a salad bar, deviled eggs, hush puppies and shrimp cocktail. There were some great desserts available as well including brownies and berries. During the event, also tried the hibiscus 75 cocktail with Ford's Gin, Hibiscus Pomegranate Syrup, Lime, Prosecco.

Super delicious and affordable seafood spot. Snow crab was discounted on Wednesday (love that), and the shrimp was very fresh. Fun ambiance with outdoor seating as an addition. Attentive service as well! Just wish the lobster was in stock.

Came here for dinner on a fun-filled cousins' day!! Visiting Austin for the first time so it was great exploring the area and easily navigating. Our service was very great in handling our large group while having the best, fun spirit! These oysters were amazing!!! I should've just ordered a whole dozen to myself as my entree

You cannot beat $1 oysters year round. I go to TLC like 5-7 times a year. I absolutely love the oysters and seafood boils here. The atmosphere is very nice with the bright light and big windows. I don't mind that it's not in a plastic bag, I think it's still flavorful laid out in the dish. Seafood is pricey so the bill adds up but I think it's worth it for all the food that you get! Great for large parties and date night!

Great Happy Hour! Gulf oysters for $1 each all day everyday. They only ran out once when we went there. The Atomic Shrimp Cocktail is a must! Huge gulf shrimp swimming in a extremely spicy cocktail sauce. Whoa! Not for the timid. The service and the food are great!

Came here for lunch on a weekday and was honestly a little disappointed. Overall good for a seafood fix, easy parking, but poor service. Highlight was the fried okra appetizer- its so good and highly recommended! My table also tried the hush puppies and fried oysters. For a decent oyster fix Id recommend this restaurant, their oysters were very good. However, their sandwiches and chicken were not very good. I ordered the Shrimp BBQ sandwich and it wasn't good- the shrimp was skimpy and the flavor was a bit bland. The boils were good but seemed smaller portions for being for 2 people. I think what brings this restaurant down in stars was the service. They were very reluctant to provide substitutions for sides or food allergies, which is not common for a casual restaurant like this. They also took very long to bring out our food, and brought out some dishes way sooner than others which was awkward. Nice staff, but overall very poor service.

I will start by saying they did comp our entire meal so I can't be too upset. However this review is to warn others in case this happens to them. Weird miscommunication happened where we thought we were getting charbroiled happy hour oysters when in fact we were getting "higher quality" oysters for 55 dollars. Ordered a boozy milk shake and a sandwich that never came out. Took about an hour (without getting the sandwich) so if you are on a time crunch maybe this isn't the place. Interior is really really cute for the holidays and I saw some games in the corner so it's a shame our service experience was so bad. The people are really nice and when we asked for the manager they ended up comping everything so... take that as you will. Of the food we tried, the mac and cheese was solid but the oysters were horrible... so sandy and difficult to eat.

Every year the Rooster clan finds a nice spot for lunch just before we open presents. Try not to dine past lunch hours so service peeps can head home early. TLC Christmas eve was a hit with our family. I started with the raw oysters. For the price they were a win but I also wished for an additional sauce option. Then, something everyone would eat the charbroiled version. Even got dear ol' grandma to eat one. GF and I decided to split some Crab Legs (1lb) and the DKR Sandwich. The crab was cooked nicely; didn't even bother with the boiled veggies. The Sandwich had good flavor and soft bread; good chips too. Grandma chose the Pork Chop while Rooster went for the Chicken Fried Steak. No complaints even when we demanded the boy eat his vegetables. No complaints on service; will be back soon for more oysters!

So we thought we would make a whole night of it. Tiffany did make reservations for us for 7pm and even though this is a bar hopping neighborhood, even at 7pm it was pretty busy. Streets were full of people. Anthem had a vibe. I felt the energy as soon as I waked in. The cozy booths with the U shaped seating with plush green velvet fabric. Wait staff wore Hawaiian shirts. Sitting up behind me on a ledge was the Easter Island statue. Insert (Night At The Museum) here, dumb dumb give me gum gum. Anthem was our first stop tonight. Just drinks and a dinner. This time we went in knowing exactly what we liked from our first visit and focused on sharing appetizers, which ended up being the move. We ordered several dishes for the table and left completely full and happy. The whipped feta is still a must-order and every bit as good as I remembered. The Greek village salad was fresh and delicious, and the hummus was also great. The biggest surprise for me was the falafel. As an Arab, I'm usually pretty skeptical when restaurants outside of Middle Eastern spots serve falafel because it rarely lives up to expectations. Aba absolutely nailed it. It was flavorful, perfectly cooked, and one of my favorite dishes of the meal. We sat outside this time, which made for a really nice atmosphere. The service was also a huge improvement from my first experience. Even though the restaurant was busy, our waitress was incredibly kind, attentive, and made us feel well taken care of throughout the meal. The beef tenderloin kebab and steak frites were both excellent, and the whipped feta was easily our favorite dish--definitely a must-order. My only complaint is that some of the portions felt small for the price. The Greek Village Salad wasn't worth it in my opinion; for about $20, it was mostly large chunks of tomatoes, cucumber, onion, and feta. Parking on South Congress can also be a bit of a hassle. Overall, the food and ambiance were great. I'd come back, but I wouldn't be rushing to do so.

The food was flavorful and well-executed overall. My only exception was the burrata, as I wasn't a fan of the sauce it was served with. The biggest drawback was the portion sizes. While everything tasted good, the portions felt quite small for the price point. The food is definitely on the expensive side, and I left feeling that the value didn't quite match the cost. The first thing that stood out was the beautiful ambiance. The restaurant offers both stunning indoor and outdoor seating, making it perfect for any occasion. Since we planned to bring our dog, we called ahead to confirm outdoor seating availability. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted and promptly guided to the outdoor patio. Before we even had a chance to ask, the staff brought a bowl of water for our dog, which was such a thoughtful gesture. Another touch that made the evening special was that the staff acknowledged our son's birthday upon arrival and presented him with a birthday card signed by team members. It was a simple but incredibly sweet gesture that made him feel celebrated. For drinks, my husband ordered the Swedish Fish Punch, while I enjoyed the Family Business German Pilsner. For appetizers, we shared the Burrata and a salad that is no longer on the menu. The salad featured cashew butter and was absolutely delicious. Both appetizers were beautifully prepared, flavorful, and generously portioned for the three of us. For the main course, we decided to share two dishes. I wanted to try a vegetarian option, and our server was extremely helpful, offering several menu items that could be modified. I chose the Mafaldine pasta, and I couldn't have been happier with my choice. It was rich, flavorful, and unlike any pasta dish I've had before. Every bite was outstanding. My son ordered the salmon, which was equally delicious and perfectly cooked. Both dishes were satisfying and filling. Since we wanted to save room for dessert, sharing the entrees turned out to be the perfect decision. We ordered the Pistachio Crème Brûlée and Sticky Toffee Pudding, and the restaurant also surprised our son with a complimentary birthday cake complete with a candle. All three desserts were exceptional and a perfect ending to the meal. Eberly is definitely a high-end dining destination and an excellent choice for special occasions, celebrations, or gatherings with family and friends. The indoor and outdoor spaces are beautiful and spacious, the service is attentive and thoughtful, and every dish felt carefully crafted with unique flavors and attention to detail. What impressed me most was that every aspect of the experience--from the hospitality to the food and special touches--felt intentional and genuine. We left feeling celebrated, well-fed, and already looking forward to our next visit.

Loved that Indigo Cat and from Dusk till dawn great recommendations from Chris. Pork chops down well with a little bit of pink, crab cake was a delicacy, spagahettini delicious! That Sticky toffee pudding was the good night Irene! Chris gave a nice history of the Tiffany glass at the bar and the WWII ship hull in the artrium. Really knowledgeable guy. Loved the conversations we had with him. Only down side was our order of oysters was sent to another table. Unfortunatetly, the party it went to failed to inform our server and ate them.

The turkey avocado sandwich (my husband enjoyed it) and the hot chicken sandwich was so good ( a little spicy but very well seasoned! My 9 yr old daughter had the chicken fingers kids meal (not pictured). She enjoyed it but the portions for the kids meal are a bit small so keep that in mind. All in all, we will definitely be back to try new items!

With a point system to accrue benefits over time, and at each visit, and impressive happy hour specials for both food and drinks, it's hard not to visit more than once. Every member of service either greeted us, or supported our needs with a smile. Calvin, especially, made sure every step of our experience from walking in through ordering was special. While we didn't indulge in the beverages, we enjoyed the $10 burger special which also came with fries! We paired this with a side of a $6 Caesar Salad (really tasty and thrown together with thinly sliced cabbage, roasted chickpeas, and popcorn chicken). Next time, I'd really love to try the truffle mac and cheese (which was also on HH). We weren't aware of the upcharge for swapping out the slice of American for Cheddar (+$1.50), which would've been nice to know ahead of time, since we both got burgers and wondered about the swap...but lesson learned. Also, BIG lesson learned...the parking validation is for only two hours! We were having such a lovely time at Dish Society, but exceeded the 2 hrs (by an extra hour) and got charged a significant amount for parking. Next time, we will certainly park on the street. We tried reasoning with the parking attendant and they wanted no business in understanding we were patrons of the restaurant. It was certainly an unexpected shock, and didn't leave the best final touch of our evening (specifically in that parking garage). It's unfortunate that we got penalized for enjoying our time at dinner.

The happy hour menu offered a great variety, and we enjoyed the she-crab roll, jalapeño hush puppies, salmon with chimichurri, blistered green beans and several Peach Mezcalitas. Everything was delicious, but what truly made the experience stand out was the service we received from Levi. Levi was attentive, personable, and professional throughout our visit. He was a welcome refresher from my first experience here, and his excellent service did not go unnoticed. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and will definitely be back.

A lot of different items on the menu and personally nothing stood out We tried the burger - standard burger with cheese and lettuce pickle slaw The kale salad - kale with dressing and breadcrumbs and radish slices / pretty good but could've used something else Also tried the coffee roasted carrots - unfortunately our least favorite - very odd for us - pickled carrots with hummus and other items but not our favorite at all Service was fine - no issues there - food came out as ordered and within 20 mins Unfortunately they do not validate parking in the garage So do not park in the garage - super expensive Only valet Patio is super nice and dog friendly even have a dog menu!
