We went here on a Saturday morning around 9 a.m. Based on recent reviews, we were sure there would be a long line, but we must have come on a good morning because we were able to sit outside on the covered porch in just 5 minutes! It was pretty full inside and out, so we got lucky! The inside is neatly designed, and the patio outside has a gate and a great long area with shade. It looked like there was a lot of room outside since there were only about five groups sitting there. Outside with some friends, I saw a nice dog. I saw them give him a bowl of water, which I thought was very nice.All of the servers and hosts were nice to work with. They forgot one of our friend's main courses, so our group had to wait for them to eat, and we had to tell them of a side dish. It took a while to get some water refreshed, but we got it a few times, which was great! Sisig tacos, ube French toast, churro French toast, and lattes (both ube and normal) were some of the foods and drinks that were ordered. The tastes of everything were great! It seemed like the Sisig burrito wasn't quite full or wasn't rolled up tight enough, but the taste was good, especially with the green sauce on the side. Everyone really liked their French toast, which was sliced thick and had a lot of different tastes on top. It also came with maple syrup. I just visited this restaurant today with a coworker and was initially excited to try it for the first time. We were greeted by a staff member who was very kind and welcoming, and he let us know we could sit wherever we liked. We chose a table, which we realized still needed to be cleaned from the previous guests. We didn't mind waiting, and the employee was already about to take care of it. However, a manager named Brittney approached the situation in a way that was extremely unprofessional. She interrupted the employee and told him to clean another table instead, then addressed us with a very harsh and dismissive tone, telling us not to sit at a table that hadn't been cleaned. The way she spoke was unnecessary and embarrassing, especially as it drew attention from nearby customers. What should have been a simple situation handled with basic courtesy turned into a very uncomfortable experience. Because of this interaction, I didn't feel comfortable staying and chose not to order anything. I understand that maintaining cleanliness is important, but the way customers are spoken to matters just as much. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses how situations like this are handled in the future. read more

I had such a fantastic experience at Toast Kitchen & Bakery! The food was absolutely delicious. The chilaquiles were packed with flavor, perfectly sauced, and incredibly satisfying. The chicken and waffles were just as amazing, with crispy, juicy chicken and fluffy waffles that hit the perfect sweet-and-savory balance. The portions were generous and definitely worth it. What really stood out, though, was the service. I asked whether the matcha latte was ceremonial grade, and one of the owners personally came out to talk to me about it. He shared that he hand-carries the matcha from his hometown of Uji, Japan which made the experience feel so thoughtful and authentic. Toast is a fantastic spot for breakfast. The food was delicious and everything came out fresh and flavorful. One of the highlights of my visit was their Bloody Mary, it was easily one of the best I've had. It had the perfect kick, spicy and full of flavor. For the first time I had matcha pie and surprisingly it was very good. The service was excellent as well.
