Location: in shopping ctr of heb off of hwy 6/University at the end corner near Chuy's. Parking: plenty. Shared Private lot. Size: small restaurant so not great for big groups unless you want to hog tables for your party. Just 3 small tables outside. Counter seating inside too. Menu: lots of variety from pancakes to burgers. I had fresh coconut drink (yes it has coconut chunks), my daughter had oj. I had bacon, sunny side eggs, creme brûlée pancake and a machiatto kronut. My daughter had fries and the chocolate sprinkles kronut. Pancakes were 3 layered big, fluffy, and sweet. No syrup needed. The kronuts were soft and yummy but very very greasy. I didn't like the grease that oozed out. I've had kronuts before and they weren't greasy like this. Anyway food was good though. Fries had a crust coating with seasoning (?)on it . Yummy. The place is small so there may be a brief wait especially after 10am. read more

EXTREMELY SLOW service!! Nice atmosphere and good food. Also, there was something wrong with every plate we ordered. 6 of us and something was wrong with all our food. Took over 40 min just to get our drinks...water and drip coffee . And about an hour to get our food. Half the customers were just waiting for food. The whole place kept looking at the kitchen and server counter wondering what's going taking so long. It really seemed like there was one cook doing everything. Came here on a Saturday for brunch. Although it was busy, our waitress was very attentive. We had their kimchi fries, avocado smash with bacon and eggs, banh mi burger, strawberry cheesecake kronut, their fruity pebbles french toast, and a breakfast plate. Oh, they also serve beer as well :) The portions were large so we left full :) The banh mi burger was as good as it looked. The egg was cooked perfectly and the fries were extra crispy yet soft on the inside. The fruity pebbles french toast had the perfect amount of sweetness. The avocado toast came out just the way we ordered and expected. Nice thick cut whole wheat toast with a hefty amount of avocado with crispy bacon and a fried egg. Tired this place for the first and last time. The food was very oily. It took 45 minutes to get our food, and when you have a toddler that's a long time to wait. Especially when it's not the busy. Coffee tased burnt. The up charge for avocado was $3.00 and we had to ask for it twice despite being part of our order. All in all we wouldn't recommend this spot nor would we come again. Upon seeing the menu, I was pretty surprised to see the variety of foods they had-- I thought it would be only breakfast-brunch items. They have dishes from a classic breakfast platter to juicy burgers. I got the toast breakfast plate (pretty basic haha) for $13. Sort of pricy but understood for the portion. The buttermilk pancake that came with it was huge, definitely could not finish it after the four half-sized pieces of toast the dish had. The decor was aesthetically pleasing, in a nice and simple way! Get your insta-worthy shots at the front !! I feel this place has potential but is located deep into the corner, so you can't really see it as you drive by on hwy 6. read more

I've been wary of eating indoors at restaurants because of covid but after seeing positive reviews about covid measures at Toast I decided to take the risk and try it out. Unfortunately, Toast seems to have relaxed on the previously mentioned covid safety. The restaurant was completely full with every booth occupied and people seated next to one another at the bar. I'd definitely get your order to go if this sort of situation would make you uncomfortable. The food, however, was great! I was happily surprised by the vast selection; there's something for everyone here. I got the s'mores toast and my friend ordered the bulgogi kimchi fries -so SO GOOD! The portions were very generous so I'd probably split it with someone next time. I'll definitely be getting food from here again but take out next time. read more

She was the sweetest person ever and super patient with us as this was our first time. She gave us some recommendations and the hash browns were by far our favorite! Had to wait about 15 min for a table because they were pretty busy (Sunday around 11am). Once we were seated, Morgan took great care of us. Things took a little while to come out, but they did have a sign out front to mention being short staffed. That being said, the food was pretty good overall. I'd definitely recommend getting the Vietnamese Iced Coffee and Toast Chilaquiles. For a sweet item to pair, we ordered the Tres Leches French Toast (instead of the pancakes). Not a bad choice either. The entire meal ended up being a good last minute brunch option, especially for the SL area. read more

Came here on a Saturday afternoon and it was packed. I'd give it 3.6/5 because the service was so slow even though the restaurant had almost no one when we were seated. Portions are large and the food is pretty solid! I came here to originally try their cronuts but unfortunately were sold out for the day, so I will be back for this. This place is amazing! The place was super busy and all the servers were running around to do everything, yet they still had a smile on their face and were so kind! Are server was Edith and she was the best she had a good attitude everytime she came by are table she apologized for the long wait and was always their when we needed her. And don't get me started on the food oh my the strawberry cheesecake pancakes are so good and the all American burger was so well cooked and had so much flavor, and a plus 1 all the meat is halal they have turkey bacon as a substitute to pork bacon which was great. The atmosphere of the place was great they have a great decor with flowers and nice signs and very where! The place is very clean and the bathroom is not dirty. Walking pass other patrons on the way to our seats, the food looked good and the portions were a nice size. House coffee = smooth and perfect Biscuits and gravy = really well seasoned and not too heavy. The BLT came with the perfect garlic aioli. And you can tell its 100% homemade. The menu options are pretty diverse so it's perfect for breakfast and lunch. The burgers seem legit and I'm genuinely excited to try the Korean burger. I'm also excited to try the pancakes next time. We have been here a few times. Today I am not sure what happened, but the service was super subpar. The receptionist is on point though and she was sitting groups at an acceptable wait. The problem is the kitchen and wait staff follow up. I have asked 5 people for a refill of decaf coffee. They obviously are overwhelmed and this small breakfast shop cannot handle rotating inquiry for customer service. Food is good just takes forever to come out of the kitchen. Absolutely appalled by the lack of service, quality of food and cleanliness of the restaurant/restroom. The wait was about 20 mins which wasn't bad, but as soon as we were sat, it took about the same amount of time to get helped, which consisted of the hostess who sat us, taking our drinks. Shortly after, we were assigned a server and placed an order which didn't get to us till about an hour after being ordered (we were never once checked in on during this time). Once it arrived it was cold and obviously neglected, which was disappointing but not surprising considering how long it took to get to us. The restroom lacked hand soap and the paper dispenser was broken, leaving just a roll of paper towels drenched on the sink intended for us to tear and use from. The restaurant was filled with fruit flies, one even drowning in my partner's orange juice, which ruined our appetite. To top it off, the server had only came at the time of us ordering and when we had to ask one of the other servers for the check, in which she dropped off. I highly urge you to find ANY other brunch place, I can confidently say that this was the worst brunch spot i've been in a while. read more

Today it was my choice to chose a spot for brunch. This is a very cute spot. Staff was very friendly and the owner came out and greeted us. Checking on us if we needed any thing. Very cool guy.
