Much less than impressed, would sum it all up pretty quick. We came by on Saturday, for what we hoped would be a special, different from kolache and donut breakfast. the place looks very nice, we got a seat immediately and the server was very friendly. Sadly, it was the food that fell short. My daughter had the fruity pebble pancakes, which were essentially pancakes with fruity pebbles on top, nothing to write home about. My wife order the biscuit and gravy meal. It looked impressive, unfortunately the eggs and the gravy were cold. She sent it back (which is not typical of her at all), and the plate we received was much less impressive, lacking any sausage in the gravy. I had the pork chop meal, Asian pork chops I think it was called? I substituted the salad for fries at the suggestion of the server, and was decently happy with the meal. The pork chops were very thin, soaked in some Asian style sauce, the fries were great, but sadly my egg was far over cooked. I had hoped for a nice runny egg to dip my chop in, but that was not the case. My other daughter had just a small plate of bacon, but the bacon was not impressive at all. The food was also served as it was ready, and not brought out at the same time, leaving close to 5 minutes between the first dish and last. I wouldn't mind this so much, but if they did it this way, I would think the plate my wife got should be piping hot. With so many breakfast places in town, and we drive from Missouri City, it would be wise to chose something else. This place is so awesome, and i wish it wasn't so far from me because they have so many other things i want to try. me and my bf both had the chocolate chip pancakes, when i saw it come out i thought it might be too much and too sweet, but it was amazing. My grandma had the loaded fries and those were soooo good as well, great flavor combinations. This place is ok. I came in for brunch on a Tuesday. It was only 3 other groups there, so pretty empty. I ordered the avocado toast with bacon. It took about 40 min...not sure why. My friend ordered the same thing, but with a completely fried egg and no onions. They couldn't get that right. It came with onions and a runny egg. Food is great! I had the Aloha platter and they got everything right. One of the few places around here that understand "over medium and a little runny" and the spam was grilled perfect. It wasn't horrible, but I would like a little more flavor considering the price per plate. When I ordered coffee I was offered creme brûlée' or regular coffee... I obviously went with cb! I ordered the bacon avocado toast and added a fried egg. There wasn't an option to have both and this was the most cost effective option. It was good. Two pieces of toast and I could only finish one. The avocado toast comes with a side of fruit which is cantaloupe and watermelon... I hate cantaloupe so I subbed it for the hash brown casserole. This was just meh. I could've honestly done without a side. My son had the Big A$$ burrito... he's 14... he said he liked it lol. My daughter had the strawberry shortcake pancakes. They were yummy but she ordered a side and couldn't finish the pancakes. The service was great, no complaints. The OJ was fresh squeezed, no complaints. And they have the GOOD ICE, definitely no complaints. I'd be back, however, I think if they want to be a competitive brunch spot they are going to have to kick it up a notch. Very slow getting the foods. Took about 45 minutes to get the foods and the place wasn't even busy. So if you expect fast or normal food services, this may not be ideal. Was very pleased with the brunch we had. Very friendly service and the workers there you can tell are making everything as you order. We sat at the bar and was able to see the action in the kitchen as well. If pancakes is your thing, you HAVE to come here. Sooo many options for pancakes and they for sure looked to be shareable plates. We tried one plain pancake just to test the waters and it was delicious! Only downfall for Toast is their mimosas had waaaay more orange juice than champagne and it's not a place for big parties. So cute inside though and will be back to try more! read more

Sad to see some bad reviews of this place. Our family actually enjoyed it, and the kids loved their food! Maybe it's better now that they have had time to improve on a few things. We got the avocado toast shown in my pic, delicious avocado spread with cucumbers and sprouts over it. I got the kids blueberry cheesecake pancakes and they went crazy over it. I tried to eat here around noon today for the first time. There was a party of 4 before me that was seated after the hostess cleaned their table. However, she never came back. I got a Build Your Own Omelette with ham, swiss cheese, tomatoes, and spinach for to-go. It also came with a side of hashbrown casserole and fruit cup. The omelette was very flavorful and perfectly cooked! I usually never like hashbrown casseroles because they are too soggy, but at Toast it was the perfect texture! The fruit cup contained refreshing watermelon, cantelope, and strawberry slices. Watermelon had no seeds, which was a plus. Highly recommend Toast as a must eat breakfast place! I saw this new place online and thought I should check out. The place is so small that if you have more than 4 people, they can't handle it. We happened to have 6, so we waited for an hour for the table (no big deal), but all this time they have been accomodating smaller groups who came after us. I was wondering why they are not putting two tables together for us. Finally, we sat down, and just before us, they accomodated a party of 18 (who came after us!) in the patio. Shocker!!! Now we had to wait anothr hour to get hour food, and how about the food? I just found out their "Big A$$ Burrito" is about the same as Taco Bell's breakfast burrito. Let me start by saying they serve SPAM!!!! Featured in the Aloha breakfast dish.....YES YES YES!!! They have a wonderful menu but my favorite is the SPAM. Only in Hawaii have i seen spam on the menu. Refreshing to see a chef go outside the comfort zone to get you to the comfort food. The hashbrowns - shredded potatoes soaked in chicken broth and immersed in cream of chicken, then they add cheddar cheese and bake oh wait did I leave out you can taste some LOVE to take it over the top! The doughnut is made with the dough used in croissants, heaven! I had the cinnamon and brown sugar - it was like the next level churro but even better! Nick - our server was outstanding. He knew the menu, great smile and very attentive. He shared with us that starting in September, Toast, will extend their hours to 8pm. They are currently only open til 3pm. Looking forward to return and try the pork chop plate and the Rose mixed berry sangria. Toast is gaining momentum. I really like how beautiful and quaint toast is. The staff was so nice from beginning to end, I really enjoyed the fact that they asked if I wanted anything for my infant, although he can't eat cooked food outside you know because it has to be puréed they did offer a watermelon and I was able to allow him to have that while we were eating. I ordered one Tres leches pancakes and two regular just in case I didn't like the rest leches pancakes. Those pancakes are huge one should really Suffice if we're being honest. Everything tasted really good except for the regular pancakes, they were just fine I would give them a C+. I would say if you were going to get a pancake go ahead and try one of the specialty pancakes, I would also say order one and if you're still hungry go back for more. I liked that a watermelon came with our meal because it was so sweet and juicy, and unique to me. My husband ordered the breakfast sandwich with egg whites and he said it was a hit he literally golfed it down in like five minutes lol. The orange juice was good and the apple juice was good as well but those are the only two drinks they have just to let you know. As far as juices. This is my second day coming here in a row with different family and friends. While the wait might be long, the food is well worth it. I had gotten the breakfast sandwich with soft scrambled eggs and they were reminiscent of Egg Slut sandwiches. They also have a selection of their kronutz from the Grove Donutz, so if you need something sweet, they have something for you with their innovative pancakes and French toast. Since it's their opening, they don't have a full menu yet, but I am eager to try more. read more
