Came for Sunday brunch with my best friend after seeing so many post on social media. The restaurant is tucked away in a shopping center in Sugar Land. The restaurant inside is pretty small but they do have bar seating. The service was good and food came out quickly. Give their brunch a try if you're in the area.

Small mom and pop! Service was fast Food was solid Legit tasted like I was eating in someone's home kitchen . Ambiance is your typical Mom and pop restaurant during Chinese new year

The breakfast platter is insane and everything on there was perfect!! the bacon is crispy, the shrimp and grits took my boy back to Baton Rouge that's how authentic it tasted, and that ube waffle is a hit. Chef Tam and his wife Renda are on a whole new level when it comes to cooking and customer service..the personal touch is felt at every plate. Great place to brunch at!

I've come here twice within the past couple of months, and both times I got the chicken and waffles. They were pretty good! Waffle was a little dry my second time coming here, so that's why I'm deducting 1 star. Service and ambience are great. Love that they have halal options, def recommend.

Coffee is SO good, balanced. I really enjoyed my blush latte. And the Vietnamese iced coffee here always hits the spot. The Vietnamese steak eggs with potatoes is my favorite thing to eat here and I refuse to order anything else. The presentation has improved and the flavor is just as good as I remember.

Surf & turf is my current fav. I love the dipping Cheese for my sandwich. I've been here multiple of times, and they're always popping.

Went with family for brunch. We ordered the following items. Korean sub 4/5. Beef was tender. Plenty of fries. Generous portion. . Fried chicken sandwich 4/5. Also a thick juicy patty. Came with a generous portion of French fries. Surf n turf. 4/5 My son enjoyed his sandwich. Also served with French fries. Pancakes. 3/5. With powdered sugar and condensed milk. They were ok. I figured the milk would enhance flavor, but it was quite the opposite. Service was fine. Good convo with server. Refills on time. The place is relatively smaller inside. I'm drawing a blank to remember, if they have a few seating outside. I wanna say yes, but check at restaurant.

I haven't had toast In so long. I was so excited to come back! But the food has changed drastically. It's not horrible but it's not 40 dollars worthy. The service was okay. We had to flag someone down. I didn't get the servers name but he was super kind. And probably the only good thing about our experience today. I won't be back anytime soon. But they do have more drinks to offer now.

    Inside the restaurant is cute!

We stopped in after our baseball tournament. Place is small and it can get really loud inside. Our server was really busy but over all okay! I loved that they had breakfast & lunch. I got the buffalo chicken wrap it was delicious. My husband got the buffalo chicken sandwich the chicken was moist. He just didn't care for the ranch. My daughters got strawberry banana French toast it was huge & she loved it!

Used Google to find a nearby resturant so ended up here. Great parking. Walked in the door and wasn't greeted right away. We sat for a few minutes. A few workers passed us by without saying a word and then the host finally came. I will give grace because they were busy. Service was actually pretty quick. Our server was cool. They brought us others people food twice. The workers were moving and grooving.. I won't lie. Our food finally came. Presentation was great. Potatoes were cold, pancake was cold, burrito was hot. Got a new hot pancake but there was nothing special about it. The burritos lacked flavor but were huge. It was decent breakfast. The manager came to to check on us. Probably won't return though.

I had left a good review here because it was a nice place to eat at, as a server I think it was also my fault that I didn't checked whenever I payed but that's why I always ask for receipts, I got two alcohol drinks, 2 kids OJ, my friend baby got the kids breakfast with sausage fruit and eggs, we got 2 CHICKEN AND WAFFLES and that was it because we need to go be somewhere but this is what we got CHARGED for steak and eggs and stuff that we NEVER ORDERED. CHECK BEFORE YOU PAY

My my my what an absolute amazing experience. Upon entry, we were greeted immediately and made aware of a 35 minute wait. However, we were seated much quicker. Although they were busy, the service was amazing. Our waiter Michael was such a pleasure. He took our order and food came out quickly. EVERYTHING we ordered was yummy. I most definitely will be visiting again very soon.

Not my favorite. While the service was friendly and fast, they failed in cleanliness for me. I ordered a coffee and an omelette. Very simple. However, the first coffee cup was dirty so I asked for a clean cup. The second coffee up was filled to the rim with coffee and still not clean. Cleaner than the first one but not clean.. So I ended up paying for coffee that I didn't drink and food that was okay. Nothing memorable. I wouldn't go back ‍

Since it was cold that day, we waited near the outdoor heaters, which made the wait a bit more comfortable. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating, along with a private indoor dining room for larger groups. I'm not sure whether there's an additional fee to reserve the private room. There is plenty of seating overall, but this place is consistently busy, especially during weekend brunch. Given Houston's often extreme weather, I definitely prefer sitting indoors when possible. I almost always order the sausage and eggs over a bed of sweet potato tater tots. They are absolutely delicious! Not many restaurants serve sweet potato tater tots, so whenever I'm craving them, this is one of my go-to spots. Because of my food allergies, I asked for a side of maple syrup instead of their house sauces, and it paired surprisingly well with the tots. While their gluten free and dairy free options are somewhat limited, I was able to modify my meal by omitting the cheese. The hostess was friendly and welcoming, but the waitstaff seemed overwhelmed by how busy the restaurant was. As a result, service wasn't particularly attentive. If you visit during peak brunch hours, I would recommend coming with the expectation that the food is the highlight, while the service may be a bit slower due to the crowds.

Cute place with a heartwarming backstory. Nice and busy for brunch on a Saturday morning!…read more I got the scrambled eggs with chorizo and onions and it was DELISH. Also came with a biscuit and jam, which were average - the biscuit tasted like it might have been from a box or mix rather than scratch? But not sure. My friend got the Oliver's breakfast which was a large portion, and she also got a blueberry pancake, which was packed full of blueberries and had a nice crispy edge. She also ordered hot tea and got to choose her tea bag from a lovely box, which was a cute touch. The only thing I might say is that the owner was a bit brusque/gruff. I understand being businesslike and I know customers can be a pain in the food industry, but his attitude was just not very welcoming I suppose. Still a good experience overall though! Although it appears to be a typical full service restaurant, there is no server to take your order. You begin by ordering at the counter. Afterward, you find a table and your order will be brought out when it's ready. I ordered: The McFancy (substituted the sausage for a tomato slice) $7 - The biscuit had a crispy, golden exterior and a soft, fluffy interior. You can tell they bake it fresh in-house. It was VERY buttery but also very finger licking good. Blueberry Pancake (without powdered sugar) $12 - Their pancake is truly unique and unlike any other I've ever had. The deep golden brown edge around the pancake is crispy and give it a satisfying crunch, similar to the edge of a grilled cheese sourdough sandwich. While it's quite greasy, it's also incredibly satisfying to eat. Both dishes 5/5. Where I felt the experience fell short was the service. Although the young dark-haired gal who was clearing and setting tables was very friendly and pleasant, the lady at the counter taking my order wearing a chef coat, who I presume may be the owner, wasn't particularly warm or friendly. I asked if the sausage in my sandwich could be substituted for something other than meat since I don't eat meat. She begrudgingly said, "the best I can do is a slice of tomato." I was perfectly happy with that substitution but her demeanor was disappointing and very off putting. Overall, Oliver's Gourmet has a nice atmosphere and good food but the service was inconsistent during my visit. A little more warmth and friendliness from the owner would have made this a 5 star experience.
