If you want something or need to complain about something, you need to flag someone down. The food is generally good but not extraordinary. The beef tofu soup was a bit bland and the beef was a bit chewy. The Kalbi was tender but not really marinated, so slightly bland. The side dishes were generally very good and the rice (for mid tier restaurant rice) was actually good quality and well prepared. Fwiw, the prices have gone up dramatically since our last visit about a year ago. Kalbi is now $39 and the soup was $20. read more

I have yet to been to another restaurant that serves as many and as delicious as here. Personal favorite is their kimchi and their apple onion salad! I have been here many times now and service has been pretty consistent every trip - it can get really busy and crowded during peak dinner time but the interior is quite spacious with a good amount of seating. They are a bit stingy with refilling side dishes, I've only had one experience where they seemed very reluctant to do so. Tofu soup isn't my absolute favorite because of the oils used, but it felt that this location kept to mostly wholesome ingredients. We received our food within five or so minutes of ordering, which was insanely fast. We also received the 12 side dishes even quicker than that. I usually come here with a friend when we're in the mood for Korean and want a good variety of side dishes. I love all the different ones they offer here! We usually order the seafood pancake as an appetizer, but have gotten the king dumplings (they're huge!) a few times as well. I prefer the pancake to be crispier, but that's my personal preference. I usually go for either the dumpling tofu soup or the dol sot bi bim bap (rice in stone bowl with veggies/meat). Both have been good and I would go back (obviously) for it, but each could be better. The tofu soup often isn't spicy enough (again, personal preference) and lacks a deeper flavor. The dol sot could come out hotter (temperature wise) as I like my rice crispier and no matter how long I let this sit - it doesn't get crispy. The service has always been quick and relatively friendly. We've never had to wait more than 10 mins for a table, even on weekends. There are corners for bigger groups of people and smaller tables for parties of 4 or less. Music is low enough for good conversation, but loud enough where you can enjoy it if you're not inclined to talk. Parking for this plaza, in general, can get tight, but you can usually find a spot after going around once as the turnover rate is relatively quick. read more

Not only do they have a wide variety of dishes to satisfy any craving, but they probably have the most banchans offered. We had 12 different banchan side dishes! I went here during the Labor Day weekend after a long day trip. Coming back on a Monday night, it was very crowded, but we were seated immediately. For a group of 4 people, we got a spacious table in a spacious restaurant. Three of my friends ordered soup-type dishes; I was the only one who ordered the Dolsot Bibimbap. All dishes came out in a promptly manner. The Dolsot Bibimbap was delicious; the meat, vegetables, and rice were well portioned. The only slight complaint I have would be the service. We were there for less than an hour, but I felt slightly rushed at the end as the waiters were trying to flip tables quickly and get in more customers. Was a wee bit bothered that the table next to us had only 2 diners (half as many as we had) and still got the same 12 banchan dishes. But we were able to get seconds on the banchan items we wanted when we gobbled up the first round. Service was good and friendly, the restaurant was clean (although they were doing some kind of construction outside with lots of cords and equipment and several workmen), and all the food was delicious. This is one of my fav Korean spots that's not KBBQ. It's my go to Korean spot for the price point to quantity and quality ratio. The flavors for main dishes are pretty on point. The banchans are on a rotation so only a few stay the same. I've been here multiple times and ordered different soups and beef, pork, and chicken entrées. They've all had good and full flavors. It seems like management has changed a couple of times with different staff, but so far the food is consistent. I went rogue and ordered spicy stir fried squid this time and it tasted very one note, so I wouldn't order again. Seafood pancake has good texture and a light crunch. It could definitely be a bit crunchier. It has a good amount of seafood chunks so you're not just eating pancake batter and veggies. The kalbi flavor is good, not too sweet and had a good sweet to savory balance. The meat itself is a bit tough so chewing gets tiring, so don't give it to grandma (or grandpa). After ordering, the waitress forcefully grabbed the menu out of my hands. I understand that it is pretty crowded and hectic but at least do it in a nicer manner. For our drinks we got free hot tea, tasted like your average hot tea nothing special. Throughout our meal we did not get any service or attention at all. Which again is understandable since it was crowded and busy. But very poor impression there. On to the food, the well known banchans. The variety is a plus however the taste and quality of it was mid tier and inconsistent. The initial round of banchans, I really liked the bean sprouts. The second round it was too salty which made me reconsider. The only decent side dish would be their kimchi and nothing can go wrong with the kimchi. The ones that kind of stood out was their apple, seaweed, and bok choy. Still not the best but bearable. I had better side dishes from other restaurants. The beef tofu soup had a salty taste to it. The beef itself was very questionable. I was expecting the soft spiral beef that is known in all tofu soups. Instead, I received beef jerky. It was dry and chewy. The texture of the beef itself made me not finish the soup or want to continue finishing it. The chicken and beef bibimbap was better but had no flavor to it. For the price, you'd expect a large sharing bowl but it looked like it was a proportioned for one person. The beef was way better than the beef in the soup because it was thin and had a nice texture to it. It made me wonder, why wasn't this beef used in the soup? I've been coming here for nearly ten years, and it's disappointing how much the experience has declined. The food is still very tasty but the staff aggressively rush you through your meal, dropping the check before you're even done and pressuring you to leave. Came here on a relatively chilly day to get some kalguksu. It was my first time coming here so I didn't really know what to expect. There was about a 10 minute wait at 2 pm which was pretty wild so perhaps it meant good things. We ordered kalguksu and the boiled dumplings. The banchan were plentiful and I especially liked the seaweed one and bok choy (sugar, sesame oil, and a tiny splash of soy sauce in the marinade). It also came with banchan dishes such as radish kimchi, Napa cabbage kimchi, apple salad, fish cake, and broccoli. In total it was 12 banchan. They even had a special banchan for the day - marinated quail eggs. The kalguksu was so piping hot we had to transfer it to a separate bowl so the noodles could cool down. My seafood kalguksu had a good amount of seafood. You could tell some of it was from frozen but I didn't taste too much of a fishy flavor.
