Spicy salmon, California roll

Wow what a gem of a place!! We went with our four year old and right off the bat it felt welcoming and extremely laid back. Our server was amazing and friendly but the sushi is what gives it the 5 stars! Fresh tasting, nicely rolled, and great flavor! Four year old got the teriyaki chicken and ate almost all of it, so that's a win too!

We drove from Gold Beach to Coos Bay specifically for sushi and I'm so happy we chose this place because the restaurant itself was low light, casual and chill vibes but most importantly the sushi was really delicious and the service was fast and our server was really sweet. We sat at the bar and watched the sushi masters at work. We loved it so much we plan to visit again!

One of the better sushi spots in the area, though it's definitely on the pricier side. I recommend the Takoyaki, the Highway 38 roll (salmon and eel), and the Hot Lady roll (deep-fried). However, the sea urchin was not fresh--wouldn't recommend it. Service was good.

Tempura shrimp and salmon in a Bento box

Both my husband and I had their Bento box lunches. You have a choice of different items, along with miso soup, pickled cumbersome, a yummy green salad, rice etc. it was delicious. We were there for the lunch rush so the male server seemed very stressed and not friendly at first. However when the rush slowed down he was able to be more attentive. When you arrive the cooking staff gave us a friendly welcome. It was a clean restaurant and the decor was nice. We would definitely go again when we are in town!

Good price for the amount of food you get. The sushi is good, and the rice was very well-prepared. The bento box was nice, with well-seasoned and cooked chicken. I just wish there was more shrimp tempura--there was only one shrimp.

We were greeted upon entering and were able to be seated immediately, we did have a reservation. Wait staff were friendly and attentive. They were busy, we were there on a Tuesday evening and they are closed on Monday. Be sure to review the specials board when you come in, lots of info there. They have many choices other than sushi that are delicious as well. I have been here several times and the service and food are always top quality. They have a sushi bar and table seating. It can be a bit noisy when they are full, not obnoxiously so however.

Came here for lunch on a Saturday and it wasn't busy. Got the bento and overall it was pretty good. I really liked the tempura and the chicken. The chicken was really juicy and the sauce wasn't overly strong even though it covered everything. Rice was normal but the salad had way too much dressing on it. So that was the only negative.

deep fried vegetables and prawn

If rate sushi a 3.7; it was okay. Not a must stop location but cured my hunger. They have good drop fried sushi rolls! Cute little restaurant and decorations though and waitresses were attentive

Great prices and great food. Not sure why everyone is complaining about the vibe. We had the fire place on and ever seemed happy!

Wildflour was recommended by our Air B & B host and it was a wonderful recommendation. The ambiance is casual but the food and service is 5 star plus. Ingredients are sourced locally and prepared in wonderfully unique combinations with tastes that don't just compliment one another but create that "Oh My God" flavor experience. Whether you're local or traveling the Oregon Coast on holiday as we did, I highly suggest that you plan an evening at Wildflour.

On a positive note we loved the setting, great vibe and wonderful service. We also had great cocktails, the Veneto was amazing. However, when the appetizers came out we were so very disappointed. We had the meatballs and fried burrata. It at first looked like the meatballs had this odd coating on it. But it was just that they were so overcooked and burnt. You literally needed a knife to cut them open and once open they were so dry I couldn't eat anymore. So I was hopeful that the fried burrata would be better. However, it was also over cooked on the outside. But once past the coating the burrata and bread was very good. Our main course came next. We both had the lasagna which came with a small salad that was very light and tasty. The pasta sauce was excellent and full of meat and the portions were very large. Lastly we had dessert and it was the star of the meal. We had a lemon pastry/cake that was delightful. Overall, we were disappointed with the appetizers. But the entrees were very good and dessert was just delightful. We will return to give it another go and hope that our first experience with the appetizers was just a one-off.

From the pictures and reviews I had seen, I expect a line 12 deep going out the door. Was I missing something? I ordered a 1/2 dozen oysters on the half shell and a large oyster stew. I was given 8 oysters for my half dozen (I didn't ask, they didn't tell). The oysters were a delectable briny delight. I had two plain, two with their blackberry mignonette sauce, two with their cocktail sauce/tabasco, and two with lemon/tabasco. I truly could not decide which was the best way. I also truly regretted not getting a dozen. The rich bowl of oyster stew came with 2 large fried oysters on top. Wow! I added oyster crackers and a little Tabasco. A bite of oyster, a spoonful of chowder, dip the oyster in the chowder. Repeat. What an experience. This is an oyster place but my SO's shrimp and chips were not to play second fiddle. The batter on the fresh snappy shrimp was about a thin as you could get without having batter. Very good coleslaw. The fries rivaled Five Guys fries (which I hold in very high regard). The table next to us raved about their fish and chips, but they can write their own review. On the way out, I asked the oyster master at the counter if he knew what a hidden gem they had there. He just smiled. He knew.

Fun spot! Order at the counter and grab a table inside or out (with the crows). They have a platter…read morethat's a great deal - for $60 you get a dozen oysters, 2 oyster shooters, shrimp cocktail, and ahi poke bowl which was enough for 4 to enjoy. Only improvement would be the shucking seemed to loose the juices of the oyster. P.S. some of the best fries we've had!
