We wanted a light refreshing drink..... ordered a special that appeared to fit that description. ..but it was like sugar water with a bit of vodka. An attempt at the basil grapefruit martini... yielded a similar result.settled for a dirty martini...but while that was better it was only fair-not cold enough or dirty enough. Coconut shrimp appetizer was great. No salad was ordered. One meal...a special...was crab stuffed shrimp. Unfortunately... Too hot a spice for the crab and shrimp was overcooked and rubbery. My macadamia nut encrusted snapper...was more like pancake batter..but fish was fresh.. the sides of vegetables and rice were great. My advice.. beer wine or simple cocktails if you want to go for the vibe. And stick to the appetizer menu. Service was good though and we did not feel rushed. We stopped here on the way to Sanibel. My friend & her husband would drive across the state for lunch and coconut cake before he passed several years ago, so in his honor we searched out the coconut cake. Luckily, it was still on the menu. We ordered a Caesar salad and then the cake. The service was excellent. We found parking in the lot behind the restaurant which is located on a busy street lined with flowering plants, many restaurants and high end shops. A very beautiful area. Whenever we're in the area, we do love coming to the Tommy Bahama Restaurant. The food is always very good, the atmosphere lives up to the Tommy Bahama brand and it's just fun to be on 3rd Street in downtown Naples. (We often find ourselves showing up a bit early just so we can browse the Tommy Bahama store next door. The starter bread with butter is always A-Mazing. So don't skip it. And I find myself usually getting the fish, which always has a terrific flavor to it. This time around I got the ginger mahi mahi -- and had to fight my husband's fork off of my plate! That said, we also make sure we sit in the OUTSIDE area. Personally we find the inside area overwhelmingly loud and almost hard to hear what other people at the table are saying. read more

Came to Tommy's at the recommendation of our hosts in Naples. Staying in the Moorings neighborhood we were a 5 min drive and we chose Sunday brunch to test out this higher end chain. We sat at a comfortable outside table for 5 and noticed what a cool bar they had and noted this would be a great place to return for apps and drinks. We had our three girls which test a restaurant in their own way. We ordered the coconut shrimp to start with a couple of specialty cocktails. I highly recommend the house Mai Tai in the Tiki cup it's delicious and reflects the surrounding city. Our meal choice was mahi mahi tacos, a house special grouper sandwich and sliders and chicken for the kids. The food was fresh, he specials are incredible and change daily. The staff was super helpful although when it gets busy with all the grumpy old timers who make up Naples it can get "demanding". Stop by, grab food and walk to the pier, it's a cool area. read more

Having had to make 6:30 pm reservations on a Sunday almost 2 weeks in advance, we mistakenly thought this was a sign of excellent food. Nope. SERVICE: I'll start with the one positive point of our evening. Lindsey. We sat at the bar. She is a bright, smiling, attentive bartender who made an excellent cosmo. She is the one reason this is not a 1 star rating. Lindsey deserves 5 stars. ATMOSPHERE: Waaaayyyy too loud. We could barely hear each other speak. Then the live entertainment began and it was impossible. They really need to work on noise control measures inside. It was also much more casual inside than we expected. FOOD: Awful. Fast food is way better than the 4 different menu items we tried. We began with the shrimp and brussel sprouts. The shrimp was dry and chewy. We could not cut through the brussel sprout leaves they were so tough. Lindsey graciously offered to remake or replace. We were not interested in trying these same items, so we are now scanning the menu for something that is hard to not get right. We chose the chips and salsa. The salsa is more like tomato sauce and the chips were stale. The guacamole tasted like the premade stuff in the packets. We did not send these back, just nibbled a bit, pushed them aside and looked at the menu one more time as we so wanted to taste something well made. Third try was not a charm. We ordered the Cuban sandwich. The bread was dry and the ingredients bland. Even the fries were awful. I have eaten at the Tommy Bahamas in Hawaii and in Palm Springs, CA. Both were positive experiences. Excellent food and service. Naples TB needs to up their game. I wonder why folks here put up with such poor food. I won't be back and just canceled our reservations for the week after next. I'm sure we can find something better in Naples. read more

This place is located on 3rd Ave in Naples and has a trendy Tommy Bahamas store adjacent to the restaurant. With Yelp check i had 15% off on a woman 's item . Anyway, the put ourselves on the wait list on a Saturday early afternoon and were told " 20 minutes". It was 1 hour and 5 minutes when we were finally seated. Our server was good. We had coconut shrimp and mushroom burgers. The burgers were good. Maybe we are spoiled with the variety and quality of the restaurants in Miami because I rate the food as ok. read more

It'a Sunday thing, head to Naples and go to Tommy Bahamas. Eat outside on the patio, great food and a little shopping between ordering and food arrival. We love it! Not so fast....this particular Sunday trip was less than stellar, unlike the norm. We had a reservation for 4 and were seated pretty quickly - Right next to the food pickup area. Terrible. Servers coming in and out for food, the expediter (?) as my view. Loud, chaotic, less than appealing. Was the restaurant busy you ask? Did I make a reservation just moments before arrival? No to all. Reservations weeks in advance, plenty of open tables. In the past we have all enjoyed the experience and food. This day, though, the experience made the food taste, meh. So bad an experience that we decided this would not be our Easter lunch place, can't risk getting a table like this again. Note to restaurant: use this table as last resort. Yes, we'll be back but I will be vocal about table placement if I see us heading toward the pick-up area. read more

Tommy Bahama Restaurant is one of my favorite places to eat in Naples. Everything is SO good! You know it's going to be a good meal when the starter bread and butter is amazing. I've tried so many things off their menu and have yet to be disappointed. Some of my favorites that I keep coming back to are the Seared Scallop Sliders and Crab Salad. All of their seafood is so fresh and they don't skimp out on the portions. The scallops are huge and the Crab Salad is loaded with crab and avocado. I love that they have outdoor seating as well as live music at night. Just make sure that you wear plenty of mosquito repellent when it's mosquito season; otherwise the mosquitoes will be making a meal out of you while you eat. There's a huge lot in the back of the restaurant which makes parking easy. It's also a short walk from the pier so you can walk off all your calories checking out the pier or downtown Naples after your meal. read more

Went here on a Wednesday night at around 7:15 with some friends. I booked a reservation for this establishment 4 days prior. If your looking to get a reservation at the end of week, book as soon as possible. Seats fly. The bread given to us at the beginning of our meal was good but when paired with the cinnamon butter it is delicious. For my main entree I got the world famous coconut shrimp. It came with asparagus and an island slaw. The asparagus was delicious but the slaw was alright. For desert I had the pineapple crème brûlée. It was outstanding. The service was good as the waiter always checked in on us with out being to annoying. However he was a little slow with refilling our water and taking plates off the table. Went here for drinks and a dessert on a Saturday evening. There was a 20 minute wait at 5:30pm. There is a women's clothing store attached to the left, and a men's store to the right--both with pricey merchandise but friendly staff. After our 20 minute wait, they gave us a booth at the back. The place was pretty noisy with the bar very close to the dining tables and live music that came on at 6:00pm, and ran through 10:00pm. It was a one-man show, guitar and singing, and was pretty good. Our sever was really friendly telling us this is the original Tommy Bahama store. She quickly set us up with water, an espresso martini, and the chocolate pie dessert. The martini was perfect, very strong and delicious. The chocolate pie was good, but far too chocolatey sweet for me, although I liked the Oreo crust. Not sure I want to return here, seems like a bit of a tourist trap to me, especially with the stores attached. read more

Tommy Bahama is always a must visit when we come to Naples. The live music is wonderful and especially during this crazy time, an escape from the reality. We had a delicious dinner with fabulous service from Marco our waiter who was friendly and attentive and just great! For anyone looking for a COVID friendly establishment, this is one! All the staff was wearing their masks the entire time and tables were cleaned, etc. We have been very cautious during this time but felt safe here which we can't say about everywhere so thank you TB! We ordered many dishes but some of the table favorites were the coconut shrimp appetizer (options of 4/6 and it comes with a cole slaw), the bungalow salad, the sanibel chicken, the snapper, and the salmon. I specifically asked for indoor seating since I have a heart issue and I don't feel well being in the heat for a long time. I confirmed twice - the last confirmation was 2 days before the date. When we arrived they had a table set outside. When I mentioned that they confirmed the indoor seating twice, the hostess was very rude and said they could not find anything in their notes. That if we wanted we could wait, but it would be quite a while. It's not easy moving a party of nine, so we ended up staying. For a little restaurant attached to the Tommy Bahama store front this place is worth a drop by! They generally have a bit of local music, a one person guitar strumming fun song singer! The tuna poke bowl is substantial and usually our go to dish. The coconut shrimp here are one of my favorites! They are very crispy and paired with a orange sauce. We also have tried the Cuban - nice portion and fresh ingrediant. The bar has some popular drinks including great frozen options. The Mai Tia is our favorite. The dark rum floater is excellent - and garnished with a beautiful orchid. Seating is outside or at the covered bar area. They have a serve yourself water station and loads of umbrellas for shade. There are lots of issues with this place, BUT that's because it's so popular. It is VERY difficult to get a table outside and difficult to get one inside. Even the bar is packed. I advise, get a drink at the bar and enjoy the live music. The staff is wonderful. They're always so friendly and try their hardest to make sure you're satisfied. We love the food! We ordered the appetizer of Coconut Shrimp, but unfortunately did not get it until I complained because my husband got his Crab Bisque, which was salty. Our waiter forgot my appetizer, but he brought us out a small portion for me to try it (not charged). Unfortunately it came out after our meals. Anne-Marie was our server and she was phenomenalCan't say enough great things about her and her wonderful, sweet personality. She was fantastic to my 84-year-old mom made my daughter, my aunt and I laugh and just was a joy to be around. Now let's talk about the food. On vacation here for a week and decided to come to this restaurant last night. And I'm not sure if it was because me and my party are on the younger side but it definitely wasn't because they were busy because they were not busy this Sunday night. Starting off we got sat and it took about 10 minutes for us to even get waters at our table. Then we ordered cocktails and appetizers and they didn't even give us plates to eat our appetizers on until we were done with them. Then I thought everything was okay with our main entrees but my boyfriend's steak was suppose to come with potatoes and it didn't because they were out but didn't even let us know beforehand.
