Just before noon on a Saturday. Completely empty.

In short, lackluster. I went during lunchtime on Saturday and the place is completely empty. I suspect the seafood was previously processed. My reasonings: All the mussels were firmly attached to the half shell but the other half is missing, so I don't know if they're fresh or dead. The shrimps have heavy grits in the veins. Both were dry and tough to chew. The Tom's combo sauce were oily yet lack the spices such as garlic or smoke paprikas.

Oooooh weee! This place is so on hit, my mouth is watering just thinking about our meal here. It's the place where you put your hair up, wash your hands, tie your bib and get to work! In that order, too! We ordered the Alaskan crab and shrimp, the corn and garlic noodles. Before I continue typing, I had to stop and breathe bc I wanted to just bury my head in the bowl. You get messy. You're using your hands, your fingers, getting your fork sauced up bc you're eating noodles with each bite of crab meat you successfully dig out using the scissors. I personally like to dip my corn in the sauce that the crab and shrimp is swimming in. It is just a delightful sin to eat everything in front of you. Everyone's got their hands in the bowl trying to get their crab legs and shrimp. It's just a big fat edible orgy!

I'm gonna give my most honest reviews The food was absolutely delicious We came here after leaving another spot down the street that didn't look so great This place is like a little hole in the wall/mom and pops style vibes (I'm sure it's family ran) the waiter looked young and nervous but absolutely a sweetheart, I feel price wise it's a great deal and portions were large, Husband and I shared the classic combo, basket of oysters and fries, garlic noodles and it was so good, great flavors and good heat. I initially asked for a mild combo flavor and then asked for a small amount of heat to add and it was great. We're actually on our way over again now. Definitely a place to try

Visited this restaurant again and it was just as good as the first time we came around. I learned from our previous visit to order a Mild Tom's Combo sauce for the boil and was glad I did. I don't think I have a sensitivity to spiciness, but we were able to enjoy the flavor much more this way. We ordered combo #3 which came with a choice of shrimp or crawfish, clams or mussels, 2 snow crab legs, 2 crab legs, cut up sausages, 2 sliced corn, and 3 potatoes. The prices are based off the market price, so our combo #3 was more or less $95 before tax. We regretted choosing crawfish this time since it was a lot of work and shell cracking for little results. I recommend choosing the shrimp for your combo. We also ordered a side of fries and deep fried oysters which were really tasty appetizers. Again, we came on a weekend around 4PM and thought it would be very busy, luckily we were able to be seated right away!

Nice establishment, a bit on the expensive side but it's seafood in the bay. With that being said, on to the food. I got the combo sampler and ummm, well. Don't get your hopes up too high. The garlic fries are just that, fries with chopped garlic. The shrimp, well yep, it was breaded fried shrimp! The chicken wings had a little flavor and the calamari reminded me of frozen onions rings. Guess, when it said crab boil, I was expecting flavor to be bursting out of every crack and crevice. But, it wasn't. Check them out for yourself. Support your local establishments

The food was an illusion, it looked good on the outside but it wasn't good on the inside. The food was lacking A LOT of flavor! The seasoning/flavor was stuck on the shells of the shrimp and crab that when you actually ate the meat it was flavorless! The service was fast but now I can see why cause they don't take much time on the food. The ambiance was alright, nothing special to mention....

This place is a little further and pricer, but it's worth it because they're better than the other place in Vallejo. The flavors here are always on point and I never have an issue with them every time I go. I ordered to-go and when I got there I didn't have to wait.

I know that a lot of people reading this review are looking for a comparison between the restaurants. Usually, others are split on this opinion when I mention it. So here's my why. The seafood menu selection is the same as most crab boil spots. I ordered the deveined/headless shrimp on my last visit. The spicy sauce was def spicy! Shrimp was cooked perfectly, not overcooked like I've had at other places. They give a generous portion of sauce, which is necessary to pour over some white rice! The appetizer selection at Cajun Crack'n is elite! The fried oysters are my favorite! I've also had the wings, fried mozzarella and Crawfish fried rice. All delicious choices! Can't wait for my next visit!

The combo had a nice variety with shrimp, crab legs, sausage, corn, potatoes, and egg, and everything was cooked well. The house special sauce was buttery, garlicky, flavorful, and the medium spice level had just the right amount of heat without being too much. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the sauce was a little on the salty side. It was still delicious, but after a while the saltiness started to stand out. If they dialed that back just a bit, it'd be even better. Overall, I'd definitely come back. Good portions, great flavor, and a solid spot when you're craving a seafood boil.

Whenever we want to treat ourselves, this is where we go. Our go-to favorites are the oyster po' boy, brisket po' boy, gumbo, jambalaya, and the seafood platter--but honestly, everything is good, trust me. I've tried almost everything on their menu. Owners, Danny and Naomi, are doing it right! Danny works his magic in the kitchen while Naomi welcomes everyone with a smile at the window. Great food is one thing, but it's the combination of incredible flavors and genuine hospitality that keeps us coming back. We've recommended The Workshop to just about everyone we know. Today we brought my Auntie and Uncle and my uncle originally from New Orleans was impressed! I sat there excited to see his reaction to every bite! Well, they ordered more food to take home with them for dinner and Danny and Naomi were so kind to gift them their homemade cajun seasoning blend! And what I learned, there is a tradition in New Orleans to "give something extra" at no charge as a gesture of generosity and appreciation- well, there you have it, we just got lagniapped!! I love them even more!!! If you haven't been yet, do yourself a favor and go. This is one of Benicia's true gems.

The young lady behind the counter greeted promptly and told us we could sit anywhere or outside. I ordered the slider trio (crab, shrimp and lobster) but was immediately told they had no lobster but could substitute the lobster for either crab or shrimp. I was fine with that, got two crab and one shrimp. I ordered a Sangria and asked if I could order individual oysters. She explained that yes I could but it was happy hour, so the set of 6 oysters was only $15. Um YES please and TY! After we placed our order we wondered outside to the back and it was cute out there, almost sat outside but for the cool weather and the fact that the tables were not cleared off. We went back inside and sat. The food cameo out quickly. My trio was good, the bread was delicious. I do wish I'd have gotten the 2 shrimp, because my shrimp slider was better than the crab (in my opinion) but the shrimp slider, had only 1 shrimp butterflied. Still it was delicious. The crab slider was yummy. My bestie orders a crab melt, she enjoyed it. My Oysters were, oysters - nothing extra ordinary. They arrived with hot sauce, lemon wedges and vinegar/ onions sauce, yummy.
