Tony is a fabulous hairdresser. He firstly makes you feel so comfortable and relaxed. I instantly knew from the first time I sat in his chair, that he was listening to what 'I' wanted. I recently made a crazy mad decision to try a home ombré by myself. Needless to say, I made a REAL mess of my hair and it looked absolutely dreadful. It was brittle and brassy. When I came into the salon (hanging my head in shame) Tony just said, 'it's actually all ok, we will make this beautiful again'....and he did!!!! Never any judgement, just positivity. So thankful to have found Tony nearly five years ago, and am happy to have followed him to a third location as he's advanced his career. I can't say enough great things about Tony. After moving to SF from SoCal in 2013 I was super anxious about finding a new stylist. I have long, thick, crazy, frizzy, curly white girl hair. ATTENTION ANYONE READY TO EMBRACE YOUR NATURAL GRAY: I've been trying to figure out the least painful way to grow out my natural "silver" (not "gray," according to Tony), as well as looking for a new stylist, and Tony totally hit it out of the park. He's the only stylist I've met who proposed adding in a darker balayage that matches my natural non-grays, and it turned out GORGEOUS. Other colorists all said the only way to grow it out involved highlighting and bleaching to get closer to the natural white, which would of course fry my hair even more than it already is. Tony is all about keeping hair healthy, and has actually turned away people who wanted to go platinum. To top it off, he managed to repair a previous bad haircut into exactly what I wanted. His space is adorable, in an old-school barbershop with a dog-friendly, laid-back vibe. Tony is charming and funny, and totally on top of his game. He loves what he does, and it shows. read more

Back when I lived in San Francisco a decade ago, Tony was the assistant at the hair salon I visited every five weeks to touch up my pesky grey roots. We would chat while he washed my hair, and I always loved his good vibe and energy (and blissful head massage :-). Then I moved out of the country, but kept following Tony on social media, as he got his license and became a popular stylist himself. A few weeks ago, for the first time since I left town, one of my (kind of last-minute) visits to SF coincided with root-touch-up time. Uh oh! So I reached out to Tony.
