We came here b'c years ago when we went to a Tony Roma's, we loved their corn bread soufflé. To our disappointment, they took it off the menu. Minus brownie points but we'd deal. We both got the ribs. It's OK. Nothing great. Nothing like I remembered it but I think I mostly remember the cornbread soufflé that sorely disappointed me this time around by not even being on the menu! Plus, the hubby's loaded baked potato was cold - inside and out, cold all around. I don't mean luke warm. I mean cold. I guess they forgot to nuke it. Our high chair never came. The slowest service ever! We went there for dinner and it took us an hour and a half to get through a simple meal without appetizers or dessert! And they were half empty! First, we waited for our drinks for 15 min only for the waiter to come back and tell us they were out of the beer my husband had ordered so we had to wait another ten minutes for him to bring something different. We already saw the writing on the wall by that point but were too tired to get up and go somewhere else after a day at Disneyland. The food took forever to get as well. I came here just out of curiosity since I haven't seen that many Tony Roma's Around for many years... I decided to try it out anyway and I was actually surprised. I was expecting lower quality foods (since many locations closed down over the years) but it was quite alright. I mean it wasnt the best damn ribs in town, but it was good. ribs were tender and had meat on them and I liked the BBQ sauce they used...I would say it is around cheesecake factory level quality which is alright with me... But anyway the food was tasty and the service wasnt all too bad. If I am ever in the area craving ribs, ill definitely pay Tony Roma's a visit again. I was pleasantly surprised. Best beef ribs I have ever eaten. Tender, meaty and excellent seasoning. The string beans and grilled asparagus were equally good. My boyfriend and I came to eat after we went to Disneyland right next door. My only complaint was that walking into Tony Roma's was the hostess . She wasn't friendly and quite frankly almost immediately made us not want to eat here due to her rude demeanor. But once we got to our table Ben was our waiter he was awesome! I ordered the salmon picatta which was cooked to perfection. Ben was ontop of making sure we always had a full drink on our table as well. I couldn't have been happier with how attentive Ben was so I give him all 10's along with our meals everything was amazing! The ribs are amazing! I had the full sized baby back original with corn on the cob on the side. The corn was juicy and sweet but the ribs were so tender and had just enough sauce. Most other ribs I have had are drowned in sauce to cover the fact they are over cooked. These ribs have meat that is perfectly coated with tasty glaze and overpowered sauce. The meat is the star here and it is great. The coleslaw is pretty bland and we did not eat it after tasting it but then we really did not go to this place for chopped cabbage! read more

They get a star for their really cool staff, parking guys and nice ambiance. The ribs were the worst ribs I've ever had in my entire life! These ribs were obviously from a poor little baby pig much too young to be slaughtered or from an armadillo. I'm not exaggerating when I say they were so dry I got a meat splinter that stuck in my gums and caused bleeding. It was like splintered wood on a bone. To make this experience even more unbearable I spent over 60$ on this pile of refuse they tried to pass off as food. The beauty of a restaurant located off a freeway exit or next to a touristy location (Disneyland) is that a restaurant becomes a sociological petri dish of locals and nonlocals looking for meals. If a restaurant has a bar area, it's much better to sit in there without waiting for a table unless the joint is just packed. I'd rather take my chances at fishing and competing for an open bar seat instead of waiting for a dining table. As there are many places to dine in the area, TR wasn't that busy and like I said, we sat at the bar. The bartend was gracious and expedient as expected. We even deviated from the menu to order just sausages as it was strangely not listed as a side dish, but was packaged with a bunch of other meals. Adult drinks and sausages are an awesome combination dinner after a day at Disneyland. Don't let TR's age dissuade you as I have fond memories of Tony Roma's growing up as it was one of the go-to-bbq joints before the authentic bbq craze. Love love love me some Tony Roma's! Came in on my way home from Sneakercon which was literally just around the corner at the Anaheim convention center. There is Valet parking at no charge (with Disney right across the street parking has to be controlled somehow) with validation. It wasn't super busy when I was there, service was great and the food was delicious! The baked potato was mouth watering along with the mashed potatoes. I got the Top Sirloin for the first time there. It was good but I won't do it again because Tony Roma's screams Ribs. I can't betray my ribs like that anymore. The baked potato soup was also very rich in flavor. However I would recommend getting a cup not a bowl because I almost got full off the soup alone! read more

I've been to Tony Roma's before but this place just needs renovations. I went with a big party and service was awful. The waiters didn't come to refill our waters and when we asked them to take a group picture, some of our heads were cut off in the picture. I had the ribs as usual and everything tasted ok, but it was cold by the time it got to me. We also had the dessert sampler, which I thought was good. Parking was full. Where to begin? The decor seemed nice enough and the restaurant was busy as it always is during a convention, with that in mind the not so good reviews you are seeing is pretty much the truth and standard for this place. We ordered the flatbread appetizer which came out timely and was good. The table bread then showed up and was visibly stale and cold. We then waited 30 to 40 minutes for our meals and when they came we had no silverware. After asking for utensils it was an additional 5 minutes of waiting for those to show up so we could eat. Needless to say our food was cold by this time as it seemed like our food was forgotten in the back before they brought it out. In the meantime we had not seen our waitress since the flatbread came. The Filet Medallions I ordered were good and tasted fine as did the loaded mashed potatoes. The mac and cheese was disgusting and was worse than Easy Mac, but had an additional $2 price tag attached to it. This plate of food was nowhere near worth the $30 price tag! My wife had the same entrée I had but her corn on the cob was so cold the butter would not melt on it. Lastly our friend ordered the Cajun pasta that was literally and Alfredo with Cajun powder sprinkled on top. This was $100 meal for three people and was not worth it in anyway! Should have gone to Denny's ...got the short rib with loaded mashed potatoes.. It said it was Tony's recommendation- I'm guessing that meant recommendation on how to ruin your night and rip you off. The short rib looked like manufactured meat with about 90% fat, was probably microwaved. We asked for no chives on the mashed potatoes and it came with chives... My best friend and I were at downtown disney and didnt want to deal with the crowds so we walked through to Tony Romas for drinks and appetizers, with her baby. We got seated in a decent time and our server Ben greeted us almost immediately and even though he seemed really busy was very attentive, and patient with the baby. We ordered mac n cheese, onion rings, spniach dip, and other little snacks which were pretty good. As far as drinks go, the bartender was flexible and let me be creative since I am really picky. Its not thee most ambient spot if your looking for a romantic dinner but its good for families. overall the hosts and Ben made it a really good experience especially for a chain restaurant dealing with disney craziness. read more

This place is awful!!! It's right by Disneyland and California adventures - right across the street. It was not packed at all, it should've been a red flag. But we were hungry and wanted to eat before going into Disneyland to avoid the outrageous prices of Disney. BIG MISTAKE. Took 40 minutes to get our food. My mom got the turkey MELT. See the word melt? It's supposed to be melted cheese with Turkey. Not lunch meat turkey with not melted cheese and only one piece of bread toasted! I got a burger, said I wanted medium rare. My burger came out medium well! Yuck. Who wants a dry burger? I decided not to send it back because I just wanted to eat so I could get to Disneyland cause who knows how long it would have taken. My mom complained about her sandwich. All our server said was "sorry don't know what to tell you" and then left. He was so rude!! Horrible service, shitty server, and horrible food. Average and too expensive. Our service was okay, not great and the restaurant was unkempt. The restrooms were not cleaned. The food was average, and the drinks (soda and a beer) were over priced. I was in San Diego a month ago and ate at Tony Romas in Pacific Beach. It was my 1st time there and the filet medallions were awesome! Went to this one tonight and I've never been more disappointed! This resturant had a smell, like you were at a bad convelesent care facility. We were seated in the back corner and the seats were ripped and rough on the skin. I ordered the filet medallions again and couldn't eat them. My husband did a combo with filet medallions and ribs. The medallions were tough, undercooked and over cooked (all different sizes) and had little to no flavor. The ribs were completely dried out. I will say that the manager did comp us for 1 of the meals in an attempt to get us to come back. Not going to happen! Now I understand why so many have closed. read more

Now to save you on time going to Tony Roma's if you are not going to an another specialty ribs restaurant or smoke house. Please do not attempt to eat these ribs since you will be completely dissatisfied with your order. The ribs were old, bland and lifeless hence why I think the chain is going out of business slowly. We went to this restaurant while on vacation. It was the best experience we've ever had at a restaurant!!!! To begin with our server, Consuelo, she was fantastic!!!! She made us feel like we were her only customers. So friendly and on top of everything. Next out food was delicious!!!! Hot and fresh!!!! We visited on a busy night, and they seem to do what every restaurant is doing now, short staff. Our server did the best she could, I will give her that, but the service did lag a little. For the good, the food was good, the ribs fell right off the bone, the wedge salad is HUGE! There are not many of these left, but this one still does a great job with ribs. read more

I came here the other day because I had memories of eating here with my family as a kid and having had conversations with people who swear by the food here. I was in the area, and I thought, "why not?" Which is a question I now realize that I seldom answer at the appropriate time, because I really should of thought about why not before I decided to eat there. The food was just ok. For famous ribs, they were horribly mediocre (I think they should advertise the onion rings if anything.) I think the dinner rolls and sides were almost inedible. The atmosphere just felt cheap, like nothing had changed but had definitely aged. I thought the service was weak and our food came later than I'm used to. It sucks watching the person at another table order long after you have and seeing the same order arrive long before yours does. Tony Roma's is one of those places that lay people in the 80s and 90s used think was a really awesome dining experience- like the Red Lobster perhaps. It was after 6:00 pm and only about 15 people in the restaurant. Now I know why. The food quality was WAY below the price we were being charged. And it was bad for all four of us. The end of the best birthday was spent here for dinner. We first ordered drinks at the bar, the bf got a beer and I got a pina colada. Damn it was good, they used coconut milk in it and while I didn't taste a whole lot of rum in it, it was so tasty. I was so full from dinner and was sad that I couldn't finish my second one. The bf ordered the Original Baby Back ribs (which is what they are famous for) and I ordered the Shrimp Scampi Pasta (I know I go to a place famous for ribs and get pasta), but who cares it was yummy with a little bit of a kick to it. The ribs were good, they bbq sauce had an awesome flavor to them, You get a lot of meat on the bone which is great! The bf was annoyed that they didn't sing to me for my birthday, even though he mentioned to the manager that it was my bday, but I am not going to lie that I didn't want it to happen so I couldn't be upset about it. For dessert we ordered two mini desserts: the red velvet cake and the golden apple tart. The red velvet was a bit dry and the apple tart was ok, nothing memorable. We came here to eat dinner because it was close to Disneyland. I've ate at other Tony Roma's before. It was the same typical TR. My husband ordered a burger and thought it was a huge portion. I wasn't all that hungry. I was still full from Goofy's Kitchen so I chose the artichoke spinach dip with chips and I thought it was still a lot of food. I love that stuff though, so it was all good. My son didn't like the rolls they bring out but loved the butter spread it came with. He also thought the ribs he got in his kids meal was mighty tasty and wished they offered a full rack for kids. The toddler ordered his typical chicken strips and had no complaints. The only negative we would give is what they charge for drinks. Normal places charges around $1 for drinks, and here it was almost about $2.50. read more

Beware Tony Roma's fans out there. Though this particular branch's food are still on par with the other Tony Roma's restaurants out there, their facility is really dirty. Not to mention, they have terrible parking since they share with a motel next door! We came out here last week since I was craving ribs. Customer service was good, same as you would typically expect. However, I noticed that once we were seated, the entire dining area smelled like someone's gym socks! I should've known to walk out just from the stench, but decided to stay anyway. I figured the delicious ribs would make the nasty smell go away.. We get our basket of bread and garlic butter, and I notice something curly and small poking out of the butter. After close examination, we concluded that it was a piece of hair! We quickly call one of the waiters to replace this and she gave a "oh, it's nothing unusual" look. I love you Tony Roma's, but if you can't keep a cleaner house, you're going to lose fans like me who'd much rather have a more cleaner and enjoyable dining experience. Let's start by saying they have no sense of what customer service is at this location. Our waiter was rude &when taking our orders he cut us off. Excuse me, if I don't want a baked potato &want mashed potatoes instead what's it to you?!? Correct me if i'm wrong but your job is to take my order and bring me my food. There was 4 of us and 3 of our orders were wrong! &tell me why I still got a baked potato??? two of the orders had baked potatoes and one came with sour cream &butter &one was just a potato! WTF?!?! is that! &after receiving our food the waiter was no where to be found! Until we asked for the check. I don't know about you but I like it when a waiter asks if everything's alright and if I need anything else... Cause heaven forbidd I need a refill of my drink. Where do i start... The restaurant itself was beautiful. Visiting Disneyland and was staying at the Ramada, Tony Romas is sitting at the entrance, pretty much in the same parking lot. Food was borderline gas station meal. The burgers I ordered were asked to be well done, not charred to a hockey puck. My chicken sandwich was flavorless and dried, and French fries must have been cooked earlier that day for the lunch rush. If it wasn't for the conversation I had with the bartender while I was waiting for my food or the overall appearance of the restaurant I would have giving it 1 star. Go to Denny's. This place is right next to Disneyland, and, as you can guess, crowded with people and their kids every night. The nice thing about Tony Roma's is their wonderful, chain menu. Love those ribs. The bad thing is that the service rarely keeps up with the crowd. At least you know what you're getting here. Oh, and the bar serves great drinks. Sooooo....I heard of Tony Roma's on the movie Barbershop when I was young and figured I'd try it one day. When you're known for ribs...your ribs should be DAMN good! Based on the lack of smoke smell emanating from the building and the lack of smoke taste I'm assuming the ribs weren't smoked. Famous Daves ribs were MUCH better and cheaper. This place would have received 3 stars if it weren't so overpriced. I need to talk to the owners about how to make a good rib because mines taste 10 times better. P.S. I ordered the rib/chicken combo with a baked potato and broccoli. Their broccoli was overcooked but the chicken was cooked pretty well. It's a shame that the baked chicken tastes better than the ribs. I doubt I'll go back to this place unless they give me a gift card to win me back lol. read more
