Ordered the taquitos a couple days ago just to get something that tasted like microwave taquitos. The mystery meat inside was soft and gross. If I'm not mistaken they were this Delimex taquitos I've seen in the stores. The asada taco was cold. The cheese inside never melted since it was all cold. It all left a bad taste in my mouth. I have been a customer since 1988 when I worked in the area. Throughout the years I have made it a point to stop in and eat at lest a few times a year when I was in the area. As of late your food remains good but your employees are very rude and your restaurant which used to be a throwback to "good" times is completely falling apart. Parking: They have a small parking lot for their restaurant. The only minor annoyance I had was their drive thru. With all the cars there, it was a bit tough to get into the lot and park. Guess everyone loves to visit the drive thru! Environment: They we're open for indoor dining. Masks are optional for the vaccinated. Place your order at the counter and wait until you're called. They encourage customers to pay using cash by offering a discount for doing so. Another option is to check in on Yelp, you'll get a discount there too (10% off)! Restrooms are located in the dining area past the booth tables, in the back. Eww...tables were not the cleanest and could use more cleaning. What was ordered: - Sausage Breakfast Burrito (cheese is evenly distributed with a good amount of potatoes and sausage. Salsa on the side) - Fried Zucchini (crispy and comes with a large container of ranch for dipping) Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. Overall, the food itself was good. I wasn't sure if this tops was the same as the original tops but I decided to try it to see how it was. The burger isn't bad. I'm very similar to the burger that I have at the original tops. It was a pretty good burger and was able the same size as the original tops. The price, was a little high though $10 for a burger just seems a little too much. Service was great. Food came out a lot faster than the original tops. The seating area, however, seem to be very old like it needed some updating. The seats were pretty small. I'm not sure if I'll come back here again because of the pricing but I would say the food wasn't bad. read more

Called in, To go order (on a Tuesday at 10:30am): Breakfast burrito with bacon, add pico de gallo - 5/5 Side of sausage - 4/5 Tuna sandwich on toasted sourdough, add Swiss - 4/5 Small fries - 5/5 Would order all of this again. The breakfast burrito is huge and they don't skimp on the bacon or cheese which gives it flavor. Adding pico is always my go to and it gives it some freshness. I'm also not a salsa verde fan but it seems they make this one in house and it's very good and not spicy. Their red salsa is just Heinz taco sauce. The tuna sandwhich was also good. For under $3 they give you half a box worth of fries, and they are perfectly crispy, salty, fresh and hot. A small is more than enough for 2 people. Good cheeseburger, great onion rings and ok fries. Pretty classic cheese burger, with the ubiquitous secret sauce, lettuce, tomato and onion. Not sure I tasted anything else, but was tasty. The highlight was definitely the onion rings. Tasted "in store" made and not frozen, which is always a good start. They were nice and crispy as well though and held up well for dipping with ketchup. I asked for both the fries and rings to be well done, but the fries were still a little limp and not much to speak of other than the quantity. I ordered med fries and small rings and as you can see by the photo, you get huge quantities of both. Finally, they also have pickled carrots and yellow chili's on the side. You do have to ask for them, but worth it, especially if you like jalapeños and the carrots you get with them. These are similar, but not as spicy and still very crunchy. Finally, the service was meh - neither great or bad, but that's ok sometimes. Burger joints don't really work for tips, so as long as they are not rude, I'm ok. By the way, I left all of my discount and then some as the tip anyway (about $3.80 on a $21.20 tab). Always try to tip if you can. It all adds up for them and it did get me a shit Tom of carrots :) Bonus: use the Yelp check in for 10% off and they also give you a discount when paying with cash! I went to visit today after someone mentioned this place 15 years ago. My dad went to pick up the order and the floor manager took part of it away from the tray without asking him anything. He asked the floor instead if my dad had paid for the item which was a pastrami sandwich. I had to get up with the receipt. How is it that someone takes back your food when they give it to you? It makes no sense. Also I later went up to pick up a paper tray and the manager was cursing in Spanish and didn't excuse himself. That box of freshly fried fries covered in chili and melted cheese was worth any heartburn I might now get from it. Came here on a Friday night to pick up some food for the drive-through. I ordered a half pound cheeseburger with no onion and it was so freaking delicious. I loved that it was flame broiled and I could taste the freshness. Me and my husband shared their small chili cheese fries, but in all honesty, I think they only serve one size you have to pay the full amount of a large. Their fries are the thin, stringy fries and their chili is not very good at all. I ended up just having two bites of the chili cheese fries and didn't eat anymore cause I didn't think it was worth it. The ice-tea had some aftertaste that was not pleasant. I love regular black tea, and for the most part burger joints have a basic tea, which I like, but their tea was way off in flavor. Like made from sink water or something. So even after giving this review, I would try this place again because for all I know they were just having an off day.
