Came by on a Thursday night 15 minutes before closing time. Ordered the bacon cheeseburger and came out to $7.77 after tax. The cook started cooking the burger as soon as I ordered however I noticed that the bacon was sitting in a container and was re-heated on the grill while the buns were being toasted. Not sure if that's how they typically do it or if it's because I got there pretty late. Overall the burger was decent. Nothing exceptional really stuck out to me however I did eat it 10-15 minutes after it was made because I had to drive home. The burger was like your "hole in the wall" version of The Habit bacon cheese burger in a way that it's a sesame bun, sliced lettuce, thousand island like-sauce (tasted slightly watered down), pickles. I felt like a flavor was missing or maybe I have to try it again when the burger is fresh off the press. Limited parking available behind the store. ~3 regular parking spots and 2 handicap spots. A hidden gem on Main Street. My boyfriend found Tops Jr and we came for their zuchinni fries and pastrami sandwich. We didn't expect their portions to be huge enough for my boyfriend and I to share, but the portions were that big! Back when we lived more east side, we frequented a place just like Tops Jr. With about the same things. We're so glad we discovered Tops Jr., now closer to our new home. The zuchinni fries are fresh and served hot with ranch, the perfect amount of breading, fried just right. The pastrami sandwich was packed with pastrami, fit perfectly snug next to the zuchinni fries. The mustard and pickles in there were the perfect combo. I have been going to this place since I was a child and it's about time it gets a review. This Tops is not the same as the Tops chain you see Pasadena and the surrounding areas. Their cheeseburgers are solid and never disappoint. The patty is perfectly flavored (it is a thin patty) and the "Thousand Island"-like dressing they use makes for a perfect combo. The burger has not changed it's flavor in all these years. This is as solid of a bet as going to In-N-Out. I have never been crazy over their fries but you need fries with your burger. I must say, they finally got their recipe right. Today they were the perfect level of crunchy and finally had salt you can taste. Today, I became a fan of these fries. These are not McDonald's fries because they infuse theirs with crack but these have finally earned a respectable rating. I usually get plain fries but today I was craving their avocado sauce to dip them, which has just enough of a spicy kick. I get a half (small) order and as you can see, it's more than enough (at least for one person). So, if you want a solid burger and fries, are in the Alhambra area and don't want to do the In-N-Out wait, check this place out that has been around forevs. Another spot with a yummy in my tummy rating. My friend gave me a taco from here Friday March 22. It was so good that I had to go the saturday. Eduardo is a very cordial, great employee! When I went, I ordered lots of food to try. I ordered two pieces of fish, a pastrami breakfast burrito with two extra eggs and extra cheese, a combo burrito, a bowl of chili, a small cheese fry, a pastrami on rye and salsa. The beef in the combo burrito was very tender and delicious. The fries are outstanding! The pastrami breakfast burrito was beyond delicious! So you know the pastrami sandwich, just followed suit! This place is very underrated! I called to complement the owner. I was then told that Renae was the manager. This place has been around since the beginning of time, but I always cruise past on my way to and from Costco. Yesterday, the hunger stars were aligned and I pulled in the driveway and parked in the back. They offer pastrami and apparently other non-pastrami stuff, but they had me at pastrami. I recently got a cheeseburger and zucchini fries and I just felt like it was below average. As thin as the patty was, it wasn't fully cooked and I could totally taste the lawrys season all powder all over. I will say that I like the size of the thin cut zucchini fries. I got the bacon breakfast burrito ($9.99) and thought it was a decent size and it tasted as expected - like a bacon breakfast burrito. It didn't really wow me, but it was filling. I appreciated that it wasn't greasy at all. Service by the gentleman in the kitchen was nice. Seating is outdoor only. Parking is limited to 3 parking spaces behind the building and street parking. Some items on the menu are reasonably priced and others are a bit expensive in my opinion. I'll be back in the future to try their chili cheese fries and pastrami sandwich. read more

Little hidden gem! I got the sausage burrito it had eggs and hash brown in it and came with salsa it was all in all very delicious! The chili cheese fries were good id say 7/10 the chili was good but the fries were very thin. The fried zucchini was amazing! I will definitely be going that again! After almost nine years of living down the street, I finally got around to trying this place. I've never tried the OG Tops, but this place was pretty good. It does seem a bit of a healthier choice than The Hat. I didnt feel as heavy after my meal from here as I did from the Hat. The service was good. The guy was polite and our food was ready quickly. I had visited Tops Jr. June 8th, now all pastramis are an inch smaller, also I noticed that their meat quality has gone down, instead of the usual lean quality, now tasted a little more fatty, and the price is still the same, shrinkflation. Today July 12th I visited them just for some fries, usually you get a good portion, but today in a small container was a 3rd of what I usually get for the same price. Came here to try something different from The Hat because I love chili cheese fries and theirs ain't it. I saw this spot on Yelp and decided to get their version of chili cheese fries and Pastrami. Pulled up and ordered, service was great and got my order. I held my box and didn't realize how heavy it was, but when I got home I saw why. This is huge. Some might argue that The Hat's large order might be bigger but remember the fries are thicker cut, with shoestring fries this is a better deal to me.
