I refuse to let CV-19 fear stop me from Friyaying so my mom and I stopped by TT after our shopping excursion across the street at Albertsons. We both decided to go for the "tipsy chick" and holy God I have now found my favorite new taco at at Torchy's. In addition to the Democrat which I always get (classic meaty barbacoa with fresh lime, Mexican cheese, a fat slice of avocado and onions w/a side of green salsa) the Tipsy Chick is just sinfully delicious with that bourbon bacon marmalade on top of the juicy chicken, roasted corn, cheese, and more. I literally took one bite and put it down to save it while I ate the democrat first because I wanted to walk out with that flavor in my mouth. I forgot they have margaritas too and we enjoyed strawberry and peach, mom also had a trailer park taco and enjoyed it very mucho. There were no menus available to scan in line so pull it up on your phone otherwise you'll have to do that thing where you stand and stare up into the abyss of flavor descriptions like you're looking at an airport monitor for your flight information. As someone who used to work in food service, I know that a strong management team makes for a decent job experience. Well today I came in with my family at 2pm, and ever since then the entire management team has been sitting at a table having a good old time.. not helping their employees. They are still sitting there at the time of review while the rest of the team is having to handle a lunch rush without them. Disgusting. We ordered take away from Torchy's and we're pretty disappointed in the salad. My husbands taco we're fine but my salad came with a laughable amount of chicken. 1.7oz to be exact. If I misunderstood the menu and this was meant to be more of a side salad, why did it come with so much lettuce? The management at this Torchy's is not good to their employees. I am a regular here and have been for years. I come every week to see my favorite bartender, Trevor. I've witnessed him working his tail off and having to beg for a simple break. Multiple times. As a regular customer I can say he always takes care of us and I've never seen him complain, he always has excellent guest service. Not to mention there always seems to be a lack of staffing--not good guest service. I will be contacting corporate to issue a complaint against the multiple examples I've heard and seen at this location. read more

I love Torchy's, it's so DAMN GOOD. I love the Republican and their Trailer Park taco, extra trash (lettuce substituted for queso). Their queso is really good too. I love the menu, and how creative and different these tacos are. They're always full of flavor, and I love their wide variety of sauces with a range of spicy level. I understand that it's harder to run a restaurant under lockdown. And we've tried to continue to support Torchy's because it's one of our favorite restaurants in the area. Before coronavirus we were Friday night regulars. But we've ordered pick up and delivery three times and it has been a disaster from top to bottom each time. Inside the restaurant is a disorganized mess. Orders have missing items. The items that are delivered are barely recognizable as tacos. I ordered a trailer park and the wrapped taco was literally a 2 inch by 3 inch rectangle. Whomever is working there right now needs to get their act together. Even considering the situation, there is no reason that everything needs to be this big of a mess. read more

My favorite was absolutely the tipsy chicken (grilled chicken, spinach, roasted corn, green chilies, cheddar cheese, chipotle sauce and a side of bourbon bacon marmalade). The bacon marmalade was such a sweet addictive addition. Crispy bacon drenched in a sweet bourbon jam, I could literally eat this alone! Queso Green Chile queso was a good creamy and flavorful dip that in accompanied by a bag of fresh chips. The dip was a bit overwhelming in salt. Salsa Their salsa is accompanied by a bag of chips as well. It's a bit spicy that starts light, and sneaks up on you slowly, and has a smoky essence at first bite! Overall, this place is a must try! I really liked this location vs the others I have visited. This location is quite big and has an open feel to it. It didn't feel as crowded nor felt that the tables where on top of each other. Plenty of room to move around in. The staff was very friendly and helpful when they realized my husband had only been to a Torchy's once before a while back ago. One of my favorite non authentic taco places. I come here once in awhile with friends and I love it so much. The tacos are pretty amazing. I usually get the Trailer Park extra trashy. Torchy's for me is one of the very rare instances where a place has good enough quality and is absolutely delicious. Their Crossroads Taco with the smoked brisket is my go-to. Called Torchy's in Casa Linda to place a To Gp order and the line was picked up and no one said a word.....so I drove to the store. I listened to the store actively for a total of 13 mins. Walked in and placed my order and then someone hung up the phone not saying a word. I placed my order and asked for the manager. Manny the manager, came out and was as concerned as you would be watching paint dry-about the matter. Made every imaginable excuse possible. He could care less about having a phone off the hook, no orders being placed, the loss of business or anything. This store needs a corporate visit really bad. I will also be calling the # on my receipt for my feedback. PS....I ordered 2-Crossroads Taco and it did not have any avocado on it. This was a total disaster!! read more

We received excellent and gracious customer service following a delay with our order. A friend and I were having lunch last Saturday afternoon and the place was packed. We both ordered tacos plus queso and guacamole. The chips, queso and guacamole was served quickly. Noticed after a while that the tacos were taking way longer than they should have, even during a busy time, and we started wondering what happened with our order. Finally a server stopped by to ask if we were waiting for tacos and we said yes. About 10 minutes later the manager (?) Eric brought us our tacos, apologizing for the long wait. He forgot the sauce, and after coming back to our table for the second time he said that our entire order would be complimentary due to the delay. This is the kind of customer service that I would expect in this situation, but is so rare these days, and it was very much appreciated! We weren't in a hurry and had our chips and dips, so it was especially nice for Eric to want to make us happy and keep our business. read more

This Torchy's location and the manager in particular went above and beyond for me. I used a food delivery service to pick up a to-go order, and the driver left a good chunk of my order at the restaurant. I called the store just to let them know what had happened so that I could come get my food. The employee told me the manager would call me back. I wasn't trying to cause problem, I just wanted to come get my food. The manager called me back, apologized (even though it wasn't Torchy's fault) and told me he would deliver the food to my house! Terrible customer service. We had only ordered 4 tacos to go and it took over 25 minutes to receive them. AFTER I asked about how much longer for the order everyone was running around acting like they didn't understand what I was saying and I provided them with my order number several times. Someone came around the corner saying that it still was not ready and we ultimately asked for a refund so we could leave. Magically after we asked for the refund, our order of was ready.. The two girls up front had terrible attitudes towards some other customers. AND worst part of it all, the food was not hot or even warm once we received it! Almost as if they had forgotten our order and it was just sitting here. If I could give 0 stars I truly would. Plus the manager did not seem to give two flying f..ks that there were unhappy patrons in this establishment. Won't be back to this location again. read more
