We have our rituals. They include going to Tokyo Central and then stopping at Torrance Bakery. The half dozen fudge chew cookies and this time I added a bag of chocolate chip cookies for my team. Always delish! The team is always helpful and the vibe is always good! Not a lot of parking but always a few spaces open!

The cake was beautiful and delicious. I would however have to say that the service is poor. The cake advisors should explain that each layer can have two flavors instead of just giving you a list of options. I figured that out by myself and went back to make changes to the take before the week period that u are allowed to make changes. Also, the fee to deliver to the reef is $135.00 so I opted to pick up myself. The cake was packed to perfectly and it was easy to carry into the venue. The cake was decorated so beautifully and the flavors were perfect and delicious. The chocolate fudge cake is my favorite. Every time I am in the area I have to stop by for a slice.

It's been so hard to find a king cake out in LA/Southbay, and even harder to find a legit king cake at that! Stop your search, and order your king cake from Torrance Bakery! I love that it's made-to-order/customizable & not massed produced like other local bakeries. The presentation, texture of the cake, and the freshness can't be beat. I'll be ordering my king cake from here every Mardi Gras season going forward. The ordering was straightforward on their website, and they had plenty of pickup dates & times available. The bakery was clean & their staff was extremely helpful when I picked up my order, and it was soooo tempting not to pick up other freshly baked treats that they had in their display. Thank you, Torrance Bakery!

Came here while searching for oatmeal raisin cookies and decided to give Torrance Bakery of Gardena a try--glad we did. This location is part of the original Torrance Bakery in downtown Torrance, and the quality shows. We ordered several cookies: oatmeal raisin, chocolate chip, and peanut butter. All tasted homemade--soft and chewy with just a slight crisp on the edges. The cookies were definitely the highlight. We also tried the fudge chew, which was good and very chewy, but not quite on the same level as the cookies. Picked up a carrot cake cupcake and a Dubai chocolate cup for dessert later (update to follow). Parking is limited, but the staff were very friendly and welcoming. They also sell cakes and take special orders. Overall, a solid bakery stop and one I'd definitely recommend.

So I was very impressed with Torrance Bakery my first few times I came, but I come to realize it pretty much used the same frosting laterally across the board with everything( it doesn't stand out as it does with other bakeries. The cakes are airy and fresh but it's just pretty straightforward., neutral taste with everything. The cinnamon rolls.." I'm tired of talking to them about it. I've told them to stop selling the cinnamon rolls that edge the whole sheet all around .." (when you bite into them )they're like wood and I always have to ask for the center ones. But they still haven't changedit.. they're still selling fresh cinnamon rolls as if they were a day old or two. It's been over six years already, so I'm pretty much done with that idea ,but anyways it's a fun Bakery to go to the first few times, but then it kind of becomes a repetitious and boring after that.

The strawberry cupcakes are a dream and I loved the sugar cookies. These are great to take to the office or for a party. Support this local business!

Provided 4 tier wedding cake for my daughter's wedding: everything turned out great. Torrance Bakery is a preferred bakery of the Wedding reception location that we chose, and an allowance is given. A couple months before the wedding, a cake tasting was hosted at the Torrance location, where the couple (and one extra guest) could help sample to make choices. The couple ended up picking a 4 tier, cream cake with four different flavors including mango and chocolate...which fit within the allowance so no additional payment was necessary. The cake was delivered on time, and there were plenty of slices for all the guests to enjoy and take home if desired. We froze the top tier for later consumption (hopefully following tradition of one year later). The cake was delicious, decorated as requested, and delivered perfectly. Couldn't ask for anything more.

Definitely time to find a new bakery....... Here is a clear example of what I ordered VS what I got! This is ridiculous!!!

I've been going to both locations for years, but this one is more convenient for me. I love everything that they bake. My favorite is the cookies. But they also made my wedding cake. I made an appointment at the Torrance location for that. It was beautifully decorated just as I requested with different flavors on each tier: red velvet with cream cheese, yellow with strawberries and whip cream, and banana with custard. Everyone raved about it! Back to the cookies. I usually go to the Gardena location for my fix. They have a cookie special on Wednesday, but I can't remember what it is. The chocolate chip cookies are great. Pro tip: get the bag of cookies vs. individual ones for a better price. The fudge chews are a cross between a brownie and a cookie. We call them brookies. They make a maple one as well. But my favorite cookie is the peanut butter. They're slightly crispy but also soft. They also make great custom cookies and cakes, donuts, petit fours, small pastries. I'm sure there's something for everyone with a sweet tooth.

Okay. So I ordered the cake on Thursday. I picked up on Friday. The cake was decoratedd really pretty.

I was just really hoping that it was just me because I always bought cakes from torrents bakery but for the last two years the cakes have not been good the way that they were back in the past years. We always think that when you're going to a business. That is gonna always stay, but sometimes things changes. The an ingredients change or the mixture or someone that's making it. That's not familiar with the actual branding of the way the cakes have been made in the past 2 become the best bakery in the area.. I would say torn's bakery. You have lost your touch and baking cakes. A customer not satisfied

I also love dipping my concha in my coffee, so I picked up a hot coffee from McDonald's next door instead. Customer service is good, and the staff have been pleasant both times I've visited. However, during my last visit, only one staff member was working. I went in the morning before work, so it was during the breakfast rush. I had to wait about 10 minutes just to place my order because he was taking orders and preparing the food, and the two people ahead of me had ordered a big box of conchas. It wasn't his fault, and I honestly felt bad that he was working by himself. I hope management makes sure there is enough staff, especially during the busy hours.

This place is a total gem, and if you haven't been yet, you are seriously missing out! Let me tell you about the star of my visit, the Matcha Cream Filled Croissant. Oh. My. Goodness. This thing is on another level. The croissant itself is buttery, perfectly golden, and incredibly flaky -- with just the right amount of crisp on the outside. But the matcha cream filling? Silky smooth, lusciously rich, with a beautiful earthy matcha flavor that isn't overpowering or too sweet. It's the kind of bite that makes you stop mid-chew just to appreciate how good it is. I honestly could eat three of these in a sitting. The Korean-American fusion approach to their baked goods is inspired and completely unique, you won't find anything like it anywhere else in the South Bay or in Gardena. Seriously Impressive, I paired my croissant with their Iced Matcha Latte, made with premium grade matcha sourced from Jeju Island, and WOW, this drink is stunning. It's vibrant, beautifully layered, and tastes as amazing as it looks. The matcha is bold and authentic without being bitter, perfectly balanced with creamy, cold milk. Not too sweet, not too earthy -- just absolutely perfect. It's easily one of the best iced matcha drinks I've had in a while. You can customize your milk choice too, which is a great thoughtful touch. This place is warm & welcoming: The staff here is attentive, friendly, and clearly passionate about what they do. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a smile and made to feel at home. The baristas are well-trained and knowledgeable, they took their time explaining the menu and made sure my order was exactly right. No rushing, no attitude, just genuine hospitality that keeps you coming back. Decor is absolutely Charming. The interior of Smoking Tiger is adorable and so well thought out. It's modern, clean, and stylish with a cozy Korean café aesthetic that feels fresh without trying too hard. The lighting is warm and inviting, the seating is comfortable, and the whole vibe just makes you want to stay for hours. There's both indoor and outdoor seating available, which is a great bonus. Whether you're catching up with a friend, working on your laptop, or just treating yourself to something special, this place sets the perfect mood. One thing that really stood out to me was how immaculately clean this café is. The tables, counters, floors, and display cases were all sparkling, it's clear that the team takes real pride in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for every guest. A clean café is a happy café, and this one passes with flying colors. Bottom Line, Smoking Tiger Coffee & Bread is the real deal. Creative, high-quality food, exceptional drinks, warm service, gorgeous decor, and a spotless space, this place checks every single box. The Matcha Cream Filled Croissant and Iced Matcha Latte alone are worth the trip. Do yourself a favor and go try yourself. Miguel C.

Since my first visit, there's been many competitors opening around Gardena, but I find myself drawn back to this place because of the balance of spaciousness (there's actually places to sit whenever I go!), quality of products (the espresso shot is pretty strong and they have many beans to choose from), and best of all, price of their drinks (specifically the specialties). While I wouldn't say the prices are a bargain, it feels more reasonable than other local competitors. One thing I do miss is that 2 years ago, the pastries weren't individually wrapped. We used to have the option of selecting pastries with tongs, the typical experience you'd get when going to a bakery in Japan. Hopefully they would bring that experience back again! Until then, I'll keep returning for their quality drinks!

The store inside is postage stamp sized with no where to sit and enjoy a coffee and pastry, but the variety and quality of their product more than makes up for that. Besides, I know how expensive commercial space and labor are. On this visit I sampled sweet and savory offerings (sourdough, gluten free bread, cinnamon roll and bun and a chocolate croissant) First let me say that everything is handmade and being organic means that there is nothing in the mix that shouldn't be there, but most importantly everything was delish. I am not a sweet fiend, I am more of a savory guy and I was more than happy with everything that I sampled. The breads contained no added sugars and the pastries were lite on sugar and glaze. The flavors were honest and pure. My favorite of the bunch was the chocolate croissant. It was flakey, buttery and filled with the most delightful dark chocolate morsels; not too sweet, not too bitter just pure goodness. It paired well with my coffee, but should pair equally well with a glass of milk. Heck, all this talk has got me hungry for another one!!! Lastly, I respect and appreciate a company that stands behind their product (no compromise). Again, everything is certified organic and the dough is slow fermented (30 hours). This process enhances flavor, texture, digestibility for the gluten sensitive, better bioavailability of nutrients and enhances shelf life without adding preservatives. Finally, the young lady at the counter was super pleasant, knowledgeable and caring.
