Our server was absolutely fantastic, friendly and very attentive. We started off the dinner with some fantastic deviled eggs and a lemon cello cocktail. I ordered the shrimp and grits and was really disappointed with the tiny, overcooked shrimp and crawfish that accompanied the slightly bland grits. The shrimp on the kids buffet was at least four times larger than the sad little shrimp in my dish. I think the sausage was cut into smaller chunks just so it wouldn't be so obvious how small the shrimp was. My husband didn't love his heirloom tomato salad and said the Wagyu appetizer was disgusting. Dessert was mediocre. The macarons that accompanied my crème brûlée were stale and chewy. The hostess suggested we grab a drink at the bar, but that area was just as crowded, so we hung out in the lobby instead. The wait ended up being completely worth it because we were seated at the exact table I was secretly hoping for: the most perfect little corner window booth, straight out of a movie scene. It was the ideal setting for our last night of vacation. And then there was our server, Anton. Anton could teach a master class on waiting tables. He was efficient, funny, attentive without hovering, knowledgeable without being pretentious, and genuinely seemed to enjoy what he was doing. In a world where great service sometimes feels like a lost art, Anton was an absolute delight. The Ravenous Pig delivered once again: phenomenal food, excellent cocktails, memorable service, and one of those meals you'll still be talking about long after you've gone home.
