I've been here several times and have tried a variety of dishes, and everything has been consistently delicious. My personal favorites are the fried quesadillas and the carne asada nachos--they're absolutely amazing and the main reason I keep coming back. Definitely a great spot if you're craving authentic Mexican food!

Is this San Jose's best kept secret for Mexican food happy hour?? We recently found out they started a happy hour, and it's honestly hard to beat. I don't know where else you can find $2 tacos anymore--and that even includes birria. The birria tacos don't come with consommé, but honestly, they're packed with so much meat in every bite that you don't even miss it. They also have $3 volcanes (kind of like a tostada), which were super tasty, and the $6 margaritas were strong in the best way. Plus, the chips tasted fresh, which always makes a difference. On top of the food, the customer service was amazing--friendly, welcoming, and just overall a great vibe, good music. Street parking was easy to find on a weekday too.

I stopped by after work on a Monday. There's was plenty of seating. I ordered the Guacamole, Chile Verde Plate, and a Michelada. The chips and guacamole were good. The chile verde has a hint of sweetness I wasnt used to. The Michelada was a typical michelada.

Alma was our waitress again and she remembered us from last week. She is super friendly and very accommodating. We came back to Happy Hour. This time I tried the tacos for $2. Birria & pastor. Very delicious for both. My husband tried the Pambazo and Volcan and both were very tasty as well. We tried different margaritas this time. Pineapple and Mango. Both were super delicious. Will definitely coming back to try more.

My bf ordering an individual-sized trompo of al pastor reminds me of those "his greed sickens me" cat memes lol. A visually-impressive tower of marinated pork, there was enough to make upwards of 10 tacos. We started with buttery-smooth guacamole & whole tostadas (I prefer tortilla chips), a refreshing michelada (although I didn't care for the shrimp on the rim), & a sweet mangonada that went down easy. Flavor-packed chicken tinga sopes. The masa shells seemed to be hand-made & were substantial enough to hold the generous amount of toppings. The A/C was blowing uncomfortably strong inside so we took a sidewalk table & enjoyed the view of lowriders cruising on a warm evening.

Food 5/5: Aquachilie was perfect, very spicy just her way I like. The shrimp was fresher, perfect order with some HH drinks! Margaritas were good as well. Service 5/5: Staff was great, very quick and attentive. Nice crew. Ambiance 4/5: Great decor, bar was small but great for a solo pick me up. Plenty of seating, parking is a but limited.

Came in on a Tuesday afternoon for a little lunch, they were not that busy, so we got a table for 3 right away. 1st, the parking lot is in the rear of the restaurant and is shared with a few other businesses, so it is very limited. Maybe about 5 to 6 spots. There are lots off meter parking on the streets around the restaurant. Queso Fundido with Longanizo and the melted cheese was delicious, one of my favorites. Street Corn with Mexican Mayo, queso cotijo and lime was very tasty. Carne En Su Jugo with Steak simmered in tomatillo sauce, bacon, pinto beans serve with onion, cilantro, radishes and a jalapeno and 3 mini Cheese quesadillas was very good with lots of flavor. But it is different to what I'm used to. This one, the broth is a lot thicker like chile verde. Chilaquiles Verde with Scramble Eggs and Pork Chorizo was a hit with lots of flavor. The service here is great, they kept checking on us to make sure everything was good and kept our water glasses full.

It is RARE that the standard level of spice (heat) at a restaurant is spicy enough to make my tongue tingle. I was impressed by this restaurant and how it met my heat baseline AND was delicious! There weren't many vegan options on the menu but I'm sure more items could be customized. The staff was very friendly and the vibe was definitely that of a poppin lunch spot but also a turn up joint for the evening.

Going in we were seated right away. Service was great, multiple servers would check in on us. Orange and Pineapple mimosa was great. We ordered, Tres Leches French toast and Mexican Eggs Benedict, it was with sourdough toast and they added avocado and tomato. Since it's the holidays they also had The Grinch playing in the background so that was cute.

We came for my friends graduation during the week and originally had made a reservation for 5 people. We had extra friends join us and we came in letting them know and they were able to accommodate us with not problem! The food was great, I got a molcajete de carnes and it was delicious! They recently remodeled the place and it looks great! They never dissapoint!

Food: 5 Food portion: 5 Ambiance: 5 Service (Andrew): 5 Came here today with co-workers. This was my first time back at this location since they re-opened. The location is bright and clean. We were greeted by Andrew who ended up being our server. He is was so nice, attentive and was professional. We ordered the following: My co-worker wanted Breakfast so I can't remember what she ordered - it looked like an omelet. She said it was good. My other co-worker ordered a Breakfast burrito and he said it was good. I ordered the Pacific Catch Tostadas. It was a recommendation from Andrew since I am limiting my meat intake..it was good nice portion, the orange sauce was a little spicy, but it was good. I will definitely come back and I hope I get Andrew as our server.

Let's start with the vibe. Very cute restaurant, we got there around 4pm and it was empty. My friend & I were sat right away. Service was great with great music to dance to while we ate. If you're not dancing while you eat, is the food really good? We began with the guac & salsa from the HH menu for $8. With it you get 4 large crisp tortillas. And we both ordered the enchiladas for our entrees. You can get it with red or green sauce, beware the green has a nice kick to it. Everything was delicious!

Sooooo I have stupid food, allergies, and sadly I'm allergic to monosodium glutamate/MSG. Our server had no idea what spices were in the Pacific catch tostada so he went to ask the other chefs in the back. Sadly, they weren't too sure since the prep work was done ahead of time, but the executive chef, was in the restaurant, but not working. So my server, Roberto O., was able to ask him!! The executive chef came up to me at the table as our server introduced who he was since he was wearing his normal street clothes. The Chef offered to make me another version of the Pacific catch tostada, so it would not have any sauce or monosodium glutamate in the sauce and seasoning. He was so sweet to go the extra mile in assisting me with my annoying food allergies!! When the plate came out, I was astonished at how huge the freaking tostadas were!!! They had two tortilla attached to them, and as the first one broke it perfectly, caught all the fish and toppings underneath the second one! Lol I was so stuffed and full. I'm surprised I was able to finish my drink!! I will definitely come back to this location again and get something else or try another dish since the executive chef knows exactly what seasoning is put into everything! The cocktail was delicious as well, fully balanced and refreshing!

Do they have café de olla?

Not sure sorry, I know they offer alcohol fueled coffee creations. Very Good!!!

Can anyone explain the room fee that is being charged?

When I visited on June 28, 2021, they did not offer any happy hours or daily specials. However, the servers do make great recommendations.

For the flat lovers out there, these are some of the best fried wings you will taste. The seasoning wasn't too overpowering either. Not really any heat or spice but the crunch and moistness and flavor was there. Seafood Boil - 9/10 We got the Cajun seasoning. Solid flavor, it didn't feel too greasy. I didn't feel there was too much sauce on ours, everything was seasoned well. We split this between two people and it was enough, but this bag alone probably won't leave two people satiated. The price point was really decent for being able to get crab though, for $45 for crab and 2 other choices of seafood + the potato's, corn and sausage that's a great deal. The garlic fries were cooked to the perfect level of crispiness, while the lobster garlic noodles were flavorful, savory, and packed with garlic goodness. The seafood itself was fresh and good quality, but I found the House Special Mild sauce a little underwhelming. I was hoping for more depth and flavor, but most of what I tasted was a mild kick of heat. While it wasn't bad, it didn't have the rich, buttery, and well-seasoned flavor profile that I typically look for in a seafood boil sauce. Service was great throughout our visit. We were seated promptly, our food arrived quickly, and any requests we had were fulfilled without issue. The staff was attentive and made the dining experience smooth and enjoyable. I also appreciated the restaurant's nautical theme. The decor featured fishing nets, ship-inspired accents, and other sea-themed elements that helped create a fun and immersive atmosphere. Overall, I'm glad we gave this place a try. The garlic noodles and fries were delicious, and the service was excellent. While I would probably choose other seafood boil spots in the future, this was still a solid experience and worth trying at least once.

Everything we ordered was delicious, and a few dishes were truly outstanding. What we ordered: Uni Pasta: My absolute favorite, and it seems to be their most popular dish for good reason. The sauce was incredibly creamy, rich, and packed with umami flavor. I don't even want to think about the calories, but it was definitely worth every single one. Charred Garlic Oysters: My second favorite and the biggest surprise of the meal. I didn't have high expectations for this dish, but the moment the oyster hit my mouth, it just melted. Smoky, flavorful, rich, and absolutely scrumptious. Oyster Shooter: Also very great. It came with oyster, uni, and a quail egg yolk in soju. Smooth, briny and fun to eat. Tuna Tartare: Probably the most disappointing dish of the night. If I came back, I'd skip this one. It was the blandest tartare I've ever had and lacked the seasoning and flavor I was expecting. Lobster Garlic Noodles: Delicious, but cracking the lobster ourselves was the downside. We appreciated getting all the lobster meat, but breaking down the shell took so much effort that by the time we finished, we had already lost our appetite. We ended up leaving 2/3 of the noodles behind. Next time I'd rather skip this dish or just asked to have the lobster meat removed from the shell. Overall, there were some standout dishes that I'd happily order again and a couple that I wouldn't. Even so, it was a very enjoyable dining experience, and I'd definitely recommend giving this place a try!

We got the Vietnamese coffee, rainbow roll, truffle crab garlic noodles, seafood pasta, and the rack of lamb. FIrst of all, the vietnamese coffee was reallyyyy sweet, and the coffee was mostly watered down by dairy in my opinion. You gotta wait for the ice to melt to dilute the sweetness for a good sip. The rainbow roll was good! The sashimi was refreshing. Nothing special, but it was good. The truffle crab garlic noodles was a personal favorite. EMC was really generous with the crab meat and the truffle. Each bite of noodle had a good amounts of crab with it. One suggestion about this dish is about the scallions. There are so little, I would suggest to either put more or completely not use it at all. When this dished was served, there were around 4 pieces of chopped scallions.. it wouldn't even make a difference if they hadn't used it at all. The seafood pasta was again, good. There's nothing special about the taste, except for the fact that there were a lot of seafood. May seafood pastas I've had was probably 80% pasta, 20% seafood. This one is probably 60% pasta and 40% seafood. Lastly, the rack of lamb! I have one comment. It was super well done. I requested medium, but it fully cooked, which made it really dense. However, I love how there were three toppings on the side which you can choose to season your meat. And one last thing, the food took really long to be served. We waited for around thirty minutes, though it wasn't even a busy day. Despite all of this, it was a good experience overall.

I usually go to Cajun Bistro for seafood boil, but I find the quality of the seafood there to be inconsistent, which made me want to try a new place. For seafood boil sauce, we opted for the cajun instead of lemon pepper. I wasn't sure if I would finish everything, but it was INHALED. I really like the seafood quality here, but sauce-wise, I prefer Cajun Bistro for the garlic butter sauce. Cap't Loui does not offer that sauce, but it was still delicious overall. Service is timely and our food came fast, so thats a big plus. Only complaint I have here is that I wish there was more sauce in the bowl. The bowl had too much food, so I couldn't dip or soak my seafood in the flavor.

This brought me back to life. It was so good and fragrant, which definitely brought me back to my childhood. I decided to also get a few more dishes since I'm acclimating to the Vietnamese culture. The food here is super good and the owner or staff here in general are very nice. I'm going to try to come back often since the price point is worth it in my opinion.

Rating is based on the Oc and goi ONLY…read more Usually, we'd order four dishes and one gỏi, and that would be enough to keep two people full for the entire day... whether it was from places like Ốc Cây Dừa, Ốc & Lẩu, or even Phở This Way. But using that same approach here, we were still very hungry afterward. Not only are the portions extremely small, but the flavors are inconsistent. The xào me was overly salty, while the rang muối ớt was surprisingly bland. On top of that, the presentation was top notched....... the portions are much smaller than what's shown in the photos, vegetables were stale, and there wasn't even any garlic included, despite it being clearly shown on the menu. The gỏi was okay. Will not return.
