Okay...I have been here 3 times in 6 weeks! I think i love it!! All three times were on a Saturday, as that is very convenient for working people. I highly recommend this restaurant for a couple of reasons... 1. Location...I was there between 1pm and 4 pm all 3 times, and guess what? I guess that particular location is where all the COOLEST cars cruised past! 2. The staff? Excellent, I have to say that they are on top of everything...I never felt neglected. 3. The ambience...it is located in a sort of " Park" setting. Lots of Zen gardens, fountains, benches...etc. Loved it! 4. Obviously, the menu...I had the " French Toast" the 1st time. Absolutely delicious...I have had this dish MANY times, and this one went over the top! The second time, I had their homemade cornbread, and Black Bean soup! Again, delicious. The third time was my " Cheesy eggs and Ham", off the kids menu...loved it. My party and I ate outside all three times, and you will see my photos. I did go inside the restaurant, and it is SO charming. I'm having the French toast Benedict special and my husband is having the Chorizo breakfast platter. Way too much food and very sweet like eating a cinnamon roll with Benedict toppings. Tower Cafe is a good looking restaurant with ample seating inside and outside. It was easy to find a parking spot when I went here with my friend. I ordered the salmon dish which came with fresh salsa, avocado, and seasoned rice. The dish was flavorful and balanced. Tower Cafe is absolutely beautiful! The decor is truly amazing with plants, art, statues, anything you can think of to go all out for the vibes. We came here on a Wednesday morning and even then it was super crowded, but we got seated pretty much right away. We just shared the French connection plate to have both sweet and savory. I love a good tuna sandwich, but not a basic ass tuna sandwich. It's tough to find one that's seasoned well, ingredients are mixed well, and there is a variety of seasonings and flavors. Very disappointed with my experience today. My daughter and I ordered brunch from here and spent about $50 on our food. When we got home and she opened her container of scrambled eggs, she found a long piece of hair cooked into the eggs. It clearly wasn't hers because it was mixed in with the food. Finding hair in your meal is extremely upsetting, especially when it appears to have been cooked into it. For the price we paid, I expected better food handling and quality control. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and improves their food preparation practices so this doesn't happen to someone else! read more

Hands down one of the most unique restaurants I've ever been too. The beautiful array of families, staff and customers was amazing. People from all backgrounds, artwork and culture flooding the walls from floor to ceiling, and one of the largest kitchen windows I've ever seen filled with colorful dishes blending cultures together. I discovered this place and decided to try due to the high rated reviews but was sadly left very disappointed. Service was horrible, the server was nice but she was so busy trying to catch her was almost impossible and she wasn't able to do a very good job with table tapping. The cornmeal pancake was not pleasant at all, it went almost entirely to waste. The eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly and that was the extent of what we liked about the restaurant outside of the cute decor. The potatoes were cooked dry and seemed to have been tossed with onions and bell peppers after already being cooked so basically received a side ma cooked veggies but the potatoes had no flavor. My wife and I have come for matinees at the theatre plenty of times but could never time our visit with a shorter line for brunch at the cafe. Well we had time today and were in for a great surprise. The place is packed with color and personality, it even has its own patio with a great garden. The staff had just as much personality and even with a full house, service was friendly and organized. We went with breakfast plates of eggs, sausage, and french toast plus a side of potatoes to split. I have never had a bad meal here! Tower cafe is a staple in midtown, and for good reason. The food is always on point and they have amazing service. Talakai stands out to me as the best server they have. Always kind, warm, welcoming, and hospitable. Some of our favorites are the pozole, the chorizo and eggs, and the French toast. A warning abt the toast though, you definitely will need to share with a friend! The portions in general are huge! The vibe is cool, and I the people are great.
