Beautiful restaurant with amazing service. I made reservations and arrived on time. We were seated right away towards the kitchen area. Tables are pretty close together so plan on hearing and being heard. There was a wine tasting for $20 so we chose to participate. We tried 4 wines and were properly informed by staff. For food I chose the mussels for my appetizer. It was completely different than any mussels I've ordered before as they were de shelled and placed on top of toast with the Diavolo sauce on top, still good though. My entree was the scallops, I asked for a dark sear but unfortunately I didn't get that. They were still tasty though. I would definitely dine here again. The cheesecake was delicious!
Came here tonight for a date night with my fiance with big expectations but unfortunately the weren't met :( When we entered the service was prompt and the atmosphere was great! The overall restaurant looked clean and great for a date night. We weren't feeling too hungry so we ordered the following based on the waitress and our friend's recommendations: 1) Crispy Brussels sprouts 2) Duck Fat Corn Bread 3) House made pasta + sugo The crispy brussels sprouts were a bit undercooked and lacked flavor but if you prefer a less crispy Brussel sprout dish I would recommend it over the duck fat corn bread. The duck fat corn bread was disappointing. It was an odd combination of flavors that did not mix very well. The corn bread was mushy and the crisp Napa cabbage with the random ranch/spicy sauce combo did not pair well and left my mouth feeling confused. I had high expectations for their house made pasta as they had a pasta maker out for viewing. The pasta was overcooked and every bite was an interesting mix of flavors...some bites salty...some bites unseasoned. There was barely any meat present and overall we ended up not finishing our meal and wrapping up the night. The only good thing we had was the homemade soda that I did not get a picture of but I believe was the hibiscus one. Overall I would recommend this place for drinks but not dinner.
Celebrated a birthday dinner here with my wife on a Friday night. The place was packed! I ordered the half roasted chicken which came with potatoes and green beans. It was delicious! I also tried a bite of my wife's shrimp fettuccine; it was just okay for me, though she really enjoyed it. For dessert, we shared the Limoncello Blueberry Cheesecake which was a great finish to the meal. The service was excellent, friendly and attentive throughout. The only drawback was the wait as it took almost an hour for our food to arrive. Overall, a nice experience despite the delay.
The food is always 10/10 at town hall! Came here to celebrate my sister's birthday and had to wait awhile before someone came to take order, but the waitress was super knowledgeable and so helpful. The space is nice but a bit loud, felt like we had to talk really loud just to hear each other. The drinks are amazing (we got red wine, lemon drop martini and ghost flowers) and food was delicious (got the steak, mushroom, Brussels sprouts and octopus). The truffle flavor for the mushroom was so rich and goes so well with everything else. Overall a good experience and will definitely go back again.
Patrick was a great server . Attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The Brussels sprout and ahi started were phenomenal! Cocktails were refreshing and not overpowering. Will return.
Another home run at Town Hall in San Marco! We stopped in again and everything was perfect from start to finish. I had the Sapphire Spritz -- dangerously delicious -- and my husband ordered a Negroni. We shared the cured & aged board with prosciutto and brie, which was incredible. For our mains, I ordered the grilled cheese (so, so good!) and my husband had the half roasted chicken. Every dish was amazing, the service was awesome, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Town Hall never disappoints. We'll definitely be back!
Great place for date night! Drinks are delicious and food is awesome! I had the filet! And we had the Brussel sprouts for an appetizer. They are the best Brussels in town! Waiter was attentive and gave great recommendations.
Well we got pushed this way! It turns out to be a great find. We called ahead, and the only seating was outside, because it was mother's day. It was a little humid outside and a lot of people passing by, cars rolling right on us, that's what I didn't like. Customers service was great; we got seated right away. The waitress came over shortly. We got our drink orders. We got the crispy Brussel sprouts. If you think you don't like Brussel sprouts, you need to go check these out. The best I've ever had, it had balsamic and blue cheese on it, It also was supposed to have crispy bacon, but we opted to omit that! The crab cakes were good, and if you're not real hungry, this is a good option, but with the Brussel sprouts I was good. We thought the omelet with a salad was odd! We should have gotten potatoes. They make most of the items from scratch. I would go back for a bowl of Brussel sprouts (that I won't be sharing) and try the mac n cheese.
Kristin who served us and multi-tasked around the room...was fantastic! I don't know how she did it! I didn't realize happy hour prices are only at bar..now we know. An app Kristin recommended was the humus and it was great! Humus made with carrots with lots of seasoning and nuts, etc sprinkled on top then the perfectly toasted pieces of bread-I'd order that in a heart beat! Drinks were full and flavorful. Hubby order smaller steak and really loved it. I order the octopus app and I'm not sure on that one; it was soft (not like calamari) and had some arugula seasoned with it...just not so sure on it.
Food is always excellent and consistent. Chef Tom has curated a wonderful menu and space.
We had a fantastic date night at Town Hall in Jacksonville, and it's easily one of the more fun spots we've been to in the San Marco area. The atmosphere is great--classy but not stuffy--and there are different ways to experience the space. The front section has a lively bar, wine bar, and high-top seating, while the back dining room offers a more formal setting for a relaxed meal. The food? Outstanding. The scallops were creatively prepared, and the seared salmon was absolutely perfect--flaky, flavorful, and served with sautéed spinach that complemented it really well. Service was also a highlight. Marty took great care of us--efficient, friendly, and with just the right level of casual professionalism that made the experience even better. Pricing felt reasonable for the quality, at around $50 per person, which made it a solid value for a special night out. Reservations were easy to make through OpenTable, and the whole experience was smooth from start to finish. Definitely recommend checking out the photos before you go--the space is beautiful!
We dined in for brunch on a reservation and were seated promptly. We had a corner booth that was a bit snug with nearby tables close by. The restaurant was a little on the warm side but it is very hot outside. We each got a different entree so a good spread. The biscuits and gravy were good. Generously portioned though the sauce was on the thin side. The classic breakfast and fried chicken sandwich were excellent with crispy bacon and fried chicken. The pimento grits were creamy and delicious. The mushroom fontina omelette, French toast and breakfast bowl were all good but nothing stand out about them. The server was kind and attentive. Overall we had a good experience and would return.
Our server was knowledgeable and attentive but I couldn't help but feel we were consistently being up-sold. The inside is beautiful, menu is upscale, and prices reflect that. The menu does appear to change and this round just wasn't my jam. The only thing I loved all around was the burrata. The crispy Brussels were really tasty but also rich. The octopus was good but had a briny fishy taste I'm not used to and had far too many sun dried tomatoes. The salmon was good but the couscous was on a bed of romesco that seemed tomatoey and it overpowered the flavors. The scallops also good but again, the flavor combo didn't hit for me.

First time at Town Hall today! Best brunch ever! Bellini for $5, sign me up!! We got the loaded fries, crab cake Benedict, Brussels sprouts and grits. Everything was delish!! This place is so cozy. The whole feel of the restaurant is like you're walking into someone's home for an intimate dinner or party. The waiting area is so homey and stylish. I am obsessed with those chairs. The long bar with high top chairs would normally throw off the whole homey vibe but the design of it makes it feel like someone's kitchen. The staff were very friendly. We had a big party for brunch and hadn't made a reservation and they were quick to offer us the front patio outside seating. They quickly pushed the tables together and got us seated. Our waiter was on top of everything. Bringing out coffee and mimosa refills. The food was delish. We ordered the loaded fries to start. Oh. My. Word. I died. They were so good. That black garlic aioli is heavenly. I had the buttermilk biscuit sandwich for my meal, it came with a salad on the plate. The biscuit was perfectly buttery and had a good crunch but was still fluffy. The house made sausage was thick and juicy. I was surprised at how good the salad was! The dressing was delicious. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. I think we all had empty plates at the end. I highly recommend coming here for brunch! You will not be disappointed. read more

I have been meaning to get over here for a while~ they were at an event and I had a sampling of some their food and knew I liked them! I met up with friends for happy hour~ trying to feel normal again & not only was everything delicious- the happy hour specials are great!!! Bar bites selection was wonderful. My dear friend ordered almost everything! Fries, sweet pea hummus (delish), and prosciutto & pimento cheese board with jellies! We dug in for some food to go with the drinks. I had my go-to, an Old Fashioned and wanted 4 more of the cherries (don't judge me). I think the bar bites ran $5 each (what a steal) and my cocktail was $7. Great deals- the bartender/manager was fantastic! Some of my friends are regulars here and know the managers and chefs~ heeeyyyy! I'll be back and dragging hubby with me! read more

Definitely lives up to its ratings. I ended up having a couple of extra hours to kill after flight delay, literally wandered into this cute San Marco neighborhood, opened up, yelp, ended up here, had the whole dining room to myself, as I stepped in as they were opening. It was my very first time at Town Hall (yes... I know. I'm lame. Lol). Had a nice happy hour get together with Debbie F., Crystal O., Vanessa T. And Linda V. and her husband. Service was bomb. I inquired about the beer on tap for happy hour (starting to become a beer snob lol) and the bartender explained each one and gave me a sample of one that I would like, which I eventually decided to order (but forgot what it was... I just know it was fruity and had a hint of tangerine in it LOL.) Debbie was so gracious to order the apps for us. I enjoyed EVERYTHING! The fries with the aioli, even though simple, was delicious. When my friend Debbie invited me to Town Hall for a food pairing I quickly accepted. She had a free ticket courtesy of Raymond James. This was my first time here. What a relaxing atmosphere if I was not driving I may have ordered more exotic libations. For the wine pairing, they offered a white and red wine. A Pinot Blanc and a Beaujolais. I enjoyed both. The Beaujolais paired best with the pork belly chef's special which had a seared duck fat cornbread with pork belly. The Beaujolais tempered the richness of the pork belly. The small amount of heavy fat dish did not make me feel too guilty. My friend also ordered a hummus platter which was so pretty and tasty...not bad for $5.00. The place was small but the tables, bar area and sofas in front were well arranged. Great job in space utilization. The staff were very friendly and did a great job. They were very good in explaining the wine and food they offer. Thank you Raymond James. Looking forward to introducing friends to this place. Love the happy hour. I shall return. read more

Town Hall is definitely a lounge, pre-dinner meet up kind of place. The layout and style fitted more for a casual wine and dine for brunch or lunch, not really romantic dinner type. Very new-age hipster feel with super clean lines, industrial accents, and laid back atmosphere. The menu was pretty small but it had a wide range of wines, a few local beers on tap and "cork-tails" (wine cocktails). Husband and I ordered the fried oysters, pork cheeks, and seared scallops with a side of whipped potatoes and fancy-styled fries. The best thing we had were the sides and oysters. The pork cheeks were cooked perfectly but lacked the flavor. It was drowned in a sweet bbq-like sauce that was a little over powering. And the seared scallop was salty. Would I go there again? Maybe for appetizers and wine, but surely not for dinner. read more

Jacksonville Foodie should equal a Townhall visit. I came here before and the food was so good that I forgot to take pics for a review. I still forgot to take a shot of the duck fat cornbread even though We ordered it again today. I have tried several flavors here that are not normally akin to my palate. Well done, this is definitely a great date night spot. read more
From start to finish, the service was exceptional, and the food was exclusively their own. Lovely environment in the front lounge area and in the back restaurant area. Enjoyed the ambience of the place, the west-coast design is a great additive as a part the village feel amongst the shops around San Marco. The Duck fat Cornbread was a winner as several of us ordered appetizers to share. They use duck fat instead of butter which gives it the lavish flavoring. The Sweet Pea Hummus was such a hit and we used all they had for the night! I think my drink was the TE DE XERES. It was a take from a Sangria and was very refreshing. Our visit was during Restaurant week and thouroughly enjoyed it and made some great memories with great friends. read more

I had reservations for 715 when I arrived I was seated right away. Such a cute set up love the decor. The staff were all so attentive and helpful. Food was really good but needed a little seasoning. I was honestly worried about coming here for dinner because of how good their brunch was. In my experience a restaurant can do one meal time much, much better than another. I'm glad I decided to come anyway! Their dinner rivals their brunch in so many ways. There were some elements that I saw incorporated for both (house made lavash for dipping in the sweet pea hummus for brunch and for the smoked shrimped dip for dinner). Yet the dinner and brunch menu feel vastly different as if they truly managed to create to great separate menus! Danny & I met his Aunt here for our traditional dinner out when she's in town and we all could not have been more pleased. We ordered the following: Smoked Shrimp Dip: 20/10 I could eaten this with a spoon out of a never lending jar it was so good! I wish I would've asked for the recipe because I truly want this all the time. It was light yet very satisfying much in contrast with other seafood dips I've had which feel very heavy and don't settle well. It was also on the happy hour menu which makes me think I need to come back and order an unlimited supply with drinks haha Loaded Fries: 10/10 Normally anything with truffles usually overwhelms my palette as the truffle tends to be piled on. These however made me wishing I had more truffle sauce layered into it so the bottom fries could be as tasty as the top fries. Not usually a fan of loaded fries either because fries themselves are generally so greasy and heavy yet this managed to be light and easy to nibble on. House-Made Fettuccine: 7/10 This is what Danny ordered and that I stole a bite of. I am not the best to judge pasta because it's my least favorite food group, but you could tell that this was very well crafted fettuccine, I just wish it had something a bit more filling to it and that the sauce didn't have such an overwhelming tomato aftertaste. That being said Danny loves it and inhaled the whole plate in 2 minutes. Cauliflower Steak: 10/10 This is what Kevyn ordered and If I hadn't been eyeballing the Seared Scallops so much I would've ordered this hands down. I also snuck a little taste and it was so good I almost wanted to ask to trade plates! The cauliflower is kind of misnomered being referred to as a steak, it's really a half a head, but that doesn't sound as appealing. BUT man was it welled seasoned and cooked to perfection. Definitely ordering this next time. Seared Scallops: 10/10 At any other restaurant this would be a star dish. Here there's so many competitors that it claws to be recognized and that's the biggest compliment I could give. The portion on this plate was maybe one of my favorite parts, not so big that you stuff yourself to finish or end up with leftovers. And not so small that you're left disappointed wanting more. It was the Goldilocks of portion sizes. Now that Town Hall has proven itself for Brunch & Dinner, I want to stop by for Lunch ASAP! read more
When I'm in the mood for upscale-comfort, decadent bites, tasty drinks within a reasonable price point and a quaint, local neighborhood feel, this is my place. Should it be yours? Who knows? Here's what I can tell ya. Brunch is really satisfying. It's a little on the heavy side but there are light options. I recommend making a reservation and showing up on time. Then, be prepared to have the best tasting breads you've ever eaten. The only other time I've had quality bread selections like Town's was when I was in Charleston. * I recommend taking teeny bites of the breads so you can save room for your meal. Next, get ready to be very satisfied by copious amounts of brunch options. My faves: Quiche of the day, Cali omelet, Scrambled eggs, Smoked salmon, or the very indulgent Cast iron french toast. If you enjoy more than just a coffee with your brunch try the pear bellini or French 76. Town has a full bar with great selections of wines and local craft beer. The only other times I've visited Town Hall was for happy hour. It's a great feel. Light, clean, airy, lots of space to sit at the bar, high tops, tables, or on the couches by the front window. During happy hour I partake in a mule or margarita and try some of the $5 bar bites: Hummus, Burrata, and Smoked shrimp dip. It's a limited bar bite menu from 4:30 - 6:00 but it hits the spot. Parking is the issue you might run into and I'm not gonna lie.... has, at times, dissuaded me from coming to Town Hall but all-in-all, it's worth a few rides around the block to see if you can find parking within walking distance from the restaurant. Love this locally owned establishment and look forward to enjoy dinner here soon. read more

Everything we tried was so delicious at Town Hall and the service was wonderful. For a starter, we had the crispy brussels sprouts with bacon, smoked blue cheese, truffle-balsamic, and pepper jelly. I'm not even a huge fan of brussels sprouts, but they were tasty. As a main, I had the house-made pasta and sugo with beef and pork sugo, campanelle pasta and parmesan. It was incredibly flavorful, and I especially loved that the flavors didn't overpower the pasta itself. It was one of the best pasta dishes I've had in a long time. read more

I have dined in many fine dining restaurants around the globe, some even with a Michelin star. Decor and ambience was as modern and warm, with a touch of nostalgia of years past in fine dining restaurants. Servers were very well groomed and knowledgeable of the menu. Bar service was top self and yet a bit sloppy. If you need to use a shot to measure, then get the mix correct and not spill it on the bar. In my experience in a restaurant of this quality, the bartender knows by look and feel when he is pouring correctly and does not have wastage. It will add up and you will also unintentionally cheat your patrons. Food, exquisite as in presentation, flavor and value. SEARED OCTOPUS black fried rice, Chinese sausage, green onions, soy, black garlic aioli, bonito flakes (No Chinese Sausage) on either orders. Octopus was cooked to perfection as only have seen in Japan. SEARED SCALLOPS green beans, celeriac puree, lemon, capers, shallots, crispy leeks. Again Scallops cooked to perfection, (celeriac purée was slightly watery). All food was served hot, something other high end establishments could learn from Town Hall. Overall, in my personal opinion, great food in a bit pretentious surroundings. Place had a pretty good number of would be's if they could be's. Never judge a book by its cover, no matter they are dressed. read more

This place is amazing! My husband and I first came here for our Sunday brunch (which was superb). We met Rachel the manager (and fellow scorpion) and we promised to return for dinner before we went back home. As promised we returned for an amazing dinner. The wine suggestion paired amazingly with the food (thanks Kristen). We had the Brussel sprouts which were good, but it was the seared octopus and the seared scallops that were amazingly cooked to mouth watering perfection. read more

Sidewalk sipper drink made me think of ladies who lunch in summer in the Hampton's. It brought me back. An amazing drink. And because it's actually winter I also had grilled cheese and Brussels sprouts. The pepper jam on the Brussels sprouts made them absolutely perfect. I want to go try all the food here now. Servers were decent but the drinks are the star of the show with food as an award winning supporting cast. read more

What a disappointment. With high expectations, we visited Town Hall for dinner. We were seated immediately in an empty dining room and our server -Peter- arrived to the table promptly. We started with the grilled cheese sandwich and the octopus. Kudos to the chef for having the courage to put a grilled cheese sandwich on the menu at a place of this caliber. Interestingly enough, it was really good. It wasn't hot, but it was tasty. The bread was crunchy, there was just enough cheese, the black truffle butter was light, and the prosciutto added a little flavor. The octopus on the other hand was much less successful. It was quite overcooked. Peter was kind enough to take it back to the kitchen and it came out much softer but unfortunately, it was undercooked. In fact, we weren't sure if it was cooked at all as it was still chilled and pink. Our entrées - the fish of the day (snapper) and the lamb chops - were ok but not great. I asked for my lamb chops to be cooked medium and they came out under. I was disappointed to see that they had switched the accompanying side of brussels sprouts for eggplant. Under the chops was just a mushy pile of vegetables that had a vinegar taste to them. The eggplant was one of the least appetizing things I've had in a while. Thank goodness for the manchego bread pudding, which was really the winner of the night. That was a very creative take on a carb side that was savory and well formed. For the price of this place, we expected to really enjoy our meals, and we did not. The bill with tip for a grilled cheese sandwich, three lamp chops which were very fatty (see the photos), manchego bread pudding, and a Coke was over $50. That was not money well spent. read more

Great service, wonderful scenery, the food was pleasant very flavorful. Visiting at night is ideal! Beans were a little oily and steak was over cooked, but the flavor made up for it a little bit. However, service was amazing, walk in was accepted although reservations are desired. Host was patient and informative. Enjoyed my time a lot. read more

Duck. Fat. Cornbread. Y'all. After multiple dining experiences at Town Hall, I'm finally prepared to share my thoughts. First visit was during their soft opening. Servers were fairly knowledgeable, the atmosphere warm, but for me, a few of the dishes were hit and miss. During my most recent visit (Friday around 7pm), my entire party was thoroughly impressed with the attention to detail in the execution of our dishes. They were out of one of my favorite beers, so I stuck with Veterans United Hop Banshee, which is a hoppy IPA. The appetizers and main courses arrived in timely fashion. Both of my dishes were excellent. The Duck Fat Cornbread is plated splendidly, the rich flavors were all there, and the cornbread crumbled as I attacked it with my fork. The Housemade Fettuccini is one of the superior pasta dishes in Jacksonville. The noodles were a perfect texture, while the ricotta cheese melted exquisitely throughout the pasta. Our server did a wonderful job tending to us, although there were a few times when she and the staff were playing hooky. I'm not a huge fan that they don't serve liquor, rather champagne cocktails, in addition to beer and wine. Moxie makes delicious cocktails and I think they could benefit from serving them here. Town Hall focuses on local ingredients and customer service in a contemporary environment. I'm intrigued to try out their weekend brunch and happy hour over the next few months. So far, so good! read more
