This used to be our "go to" until tonight! After reviewing the menu and placing our order, we weee told that the menu was not applicable for Saturday only Monday through Friday and during certain hours. Okay but why the. Give us this menu? NP! The food was horrible. My husband ordered a rib eye "medium" and what he got was a more than normal very well done. Hardly edible. My fish sandwich was oily and you could tell it wasn't fresh. Poor elderly man at the next table ordered a plain turkey sandwich and received the wrong thing three times. At the end when they received the bill and questioned the amount being too high and incorrect, they were told they were given the wrong menu. The restaurant made the error, in good faith they should have absorbed the difference especially that the poor man never got the correct order after three attempts!! Sorry we won't be returning. You have lost our business. Too many other available options. Might I also add that their prices are becoming insane for what you get and the food below par. read more

Trying to remain optimistic that this is the covid world and things are different. So not going to be to rough on them. They share a tent with other restaurants. So seating is limited. I personally think they using to many 6-7 chair tables. They had a guy sitting by himself when he could have been on a single smaller table. Using big tables and seating less people. Smaller tables can get them more seated people at the same time. The service started out with waitress taking orders. That was really slow. Once the guy was added it flowed much better and service was faster. They were moving so fast. No one asked if we needed and condiments. And it was hard tracking down either waiter or waitress. The veterinarian omelet was ok. Nothing special. The french toast was pretty good. The hashbrowns were undercooked. read more

Just ordered a gyro and triple decker sandwich, I show up and both sandwiches were increased $3 over the menu price I had. $30 for two sandwiches While I was there some guy with a gift card was refused service and forced to pay with another method since they changed all their machines, guy was pissed Then a frequent family shows up for the early bird dinner special (before 6pm) where the one manager immediately refuses to give them the early bird since it was 555pm and forced them to order before the clock expired...they immediately I get home and my gyro with no tomatoes ended up being a chicken gyro with about 7 whole tomatoes on it, back to Park Place we go... read more

I used to order from here often and never really had any complaints. This review is solely for a delivery order. Multiple items missing in order...toast wasn't included, eggs missing cheese (that I paid for). On top of that...the grits were poorly made. Extremely watery...I do not recommend. Honestly, it's way too many good breakfast options in the area to choose from, we won't be ordering from here again. I also feel like they need to better organize their online ordering to it's clear to their staff and the customer and offer better customer service training when having to contact the customer to resolve said confusion. Great place for breakfast. Prices are fair and food quality is good. Ordered 2 egg combo, which comes with home fries, toast, and your choice of breakfast meet. Egg size is most likely on the smaller side as the scrambled version felt more like one. Nevertheless, price point and quantity were good overall. read more

The food at this local diner was excellent! I cannot say enough about the service..the wait staff and manager were extremely pleasant!! The ambiance was what you would expect from a diner, clean, bright & a friendly atmosphere! We were in town for a wedding & arrived 15 minutes before the grill shut down. When we asked the manager if they could still serve us, they were so nice and welcoming to our party of four! Our waiter was adorable! A pleasant young man who couldn't have been nicer. Seriously, the food was so good we came back the next day for lunch!! (I had the homemade turkey burger the first time and chicken salad triple decker sandwich the following day. Solid "dinerish" establishment in Central Jersey, an area that is severely lacking in the need of a classic Jersey diner. The table ordered the patty melt, the Philly cheesesteak and the always reliable steak and eggs. The table all enjoyed their dishes. My patty melt was slightly over the medium rare asked for, but wasn't scorched which is excusable. Wifey didn't care for the cold brew latte (too sweet) I, who is adverse to all things latte, surprisingly enjoyed it. Friendly server was quick to respond. Recently I went to the Town Square Diner in Matawan. One of my goals is to go to a few more diners in that general area.  A few years ago, it was reopened under the name Town Square Diner (previously the Aberdeen Diner). Atmosphere: The Town Square Diner is located in a shopping center. It's not a standalone diner and just blends in with the rest of the shopping center. Once you get inside, it looks like a diner. It's dimly lit with plenty of booths, tables, and a bar. Coffee: The coffee at the Town Square Diner was brewed hot and fresh. It wasn't anything unique or unusual but it was good. I could have used more refills but other than that, it was good. Food: The Town Square Diner has everything you would expect in a diner. There are plenty of breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. Plus there were several different specials. I arrived around lunchtime and didn't know what I was craving. One of their specials: The Shrimp Salad caught my eye. It came with arugula, shrimp, avocado, and artichoke hearts. The salad was good but I do wish it was bigger. It also came with soup and I chose lentil. The lentil soup was delicious but it was hot, so hot in fact, that I burned out my tongue. That was my fault though. Service: Our waitress was friendly and our food came out fast. Without rushing, I was in and out within 45 minutes. Overall Thoughts: I liked the Town Square Diner. The meal was fresh and the food came out fast. I would go back. read more

My future wife and I were in the area recently and decided to give this place a try. We were pleasantly surprised by the big, comfy booths, coffee that actually tastes like coffee should, outstanding tuna melt and equally as impressive Cuban panini. The wait staff was very friendly and attentive and we left there with a definite plan of returning next time we find ourselves in the environs of Aberdeen. My review is going to be longer than most because I have to give 2 reviews!!! First one for 7/17/22...my boyfriend & I went in for a later dinner! We were greeted by Karen who was SUPER FRIENDLY! We were also greeted by Emily! BOTH extremely friendly! They seated us with Kevin. Kevin was wonderful! He came right over & took our drink orders and then took our food order! He delivered our food very quickly AND the food was DELICIOUS! I had the Turkey sourdough sandwich, with tomato & cheese, Russian dressing on the side and my boyfriend got the grilled chicken sourdough sandwich, with cheese & bacon, BBQ on the side! Our food was HOT AND very DELICIOUS!!! Kevin also came back to check on us for drinks or extras! Service AWESOME! We thanked Karen for a wonderful experience and that we would be back! The the next morning...6/18/22! We came back in for breakfast! We were greeted by Sharon! SUPER FRIENDLY! We were seated quickly and our server was Ryan! He came right over to take our drink order and then returned to take our food order! Our food came out quickly and hot! Ryan came back to check on us! Really nice guy! Overpriced. Almost $20 for a chicken parmesan dinner and you only get soup OR salad. A side of french fries, which look nothing like the pictures posted by others, is $4.49 for a small portion and they have an unappetizing coating on them. All of the food is overpriced and the portions are very small. Milkshakes are over $13! A soda is $3.19 and I was never asked if I wanted a refill. Very disappointing. read more

Went here for breakfast with my family, the service was alright but food was below par. It took almost 30 minutes for our 4 meals to come out. The healthy wrap had absolutely no seasoning and tasted bland. The turkey bacon we ordered on the side with it wasn't crispy at all and undercooked. The meatloaf sandwich was flavorless and mushy. The waitress was nice, but didn't check on us much and didn't offer any coffee refills. Overall, staff was friendly and place was nice, but food definitely needed work. read more

My mother and I had lunch here. The food was fresh and great and the service was very good. The hostess was the sweetest. I ordered the grilled cheese with bacon and a side of fries. Giving 2 stars (really close to 1....) as the fries were hot and majority of food seemed fairly fresh.....lettuce lettuce lettuce! However - don't bother coming here as the food was blah - service was bad, and they don't care about feedback (given prior to getting check). Sandwich was tiny, mostly lettuce, did not listen to no Mayo or crispy bacon, tomato was as thin as paper, thin piece of chicken, soggy somehow toasted bread......Had to use like 20 napkins to try and salvage eating any of it to wipe off Mayo and took off 1/2 of the cold non-crispy bacon (left on plate to show server). Salad was like 90% lettuce. They apparently got a great deal on lettuce recently........ If you are a rabbit - you will love this place - bring the whole family for a great feast of lettuce!!!!
