I am 71 years old and have never received worse service than I did at Toyota of Clovis. They do not honor appointment times for their service department. With a 10:00 scheduled for a 30 minute oil change, it was 4 1/2 hours later, my car was ready. This is our third and last time we will come here. Every time we were told " we have employees call in sick today" Really ??? All three times? We will now go to Michael's Toyota where we hear they are very customer service oriented. Joey in the service department at Toyota of Clovis demonstrates the finest example of customer service I have experienced in quite some time. My vehicle needed repair where a warranty would be paying for the services. Joey very patiently explained to me in layman's terms what would need to take place and what I could expect throughout the two day process. Any request or question I placed with him was immediately addressed and resolved expeditiously. I cannot explain how comforting it was to know I could absolutely trust him to take care of every detail, every step of the way during what could have easily been a very stressful time. Once the dealership completed the warranty work I had to take my vehicle to a body shop to complete the final work. Joey recommended Jesse from Caliber Collision in Clovis who also provided stellar service. Those two are top notch gentleman who I'd trust again and again with my vehicle should it ever need service again. Order parts online and it said it will give me an updated email when it comes in. Waited for a week with no new emailed even though it said it would be there in 3 days. I called them and even parts department multiple times and got an answering machine. I finally left a message with the answering machine about my order also gave them my order number. 20 minutes later I got an emailed saying my order is ready for pick up. If I didn't leave my messages, I'll probably be waiting still. Also my packages came in with the box being damaged and they open the package to take out the other small package that was supposed to be in the main package. We came here expecting to buy a used car but after working with Ken we decided leasing was a better option. We came on the behalf of Eric who is a neighbor friend and he made sure we were taken care of well and the best interest for my mom. We ended up leasing a 2019 Toyota Corolla SE brand new and the experience was amazing! Everyone there Including Chris the manager was so nice and patient with us and my mom and answered all her questions and took the time to show her many cars. The customer service is a 10 out of 10! He was friendly, courteous, and patience as well as knowledgeable. Since parts to my car were low in stock and won't be delivered until a few days later, Jesus kept me updated with the status and ensure I was taken care of. We came in with a mission, we knew we wanted Prius, we knew what color we wanted, and they gave us exactly what we want. They had two choices of what we wanted and we looked at them both and the options that the car came with and we test drove it and just wanted to get the paperwork done. It took a little bit, but what car buying doesn't? and they gave us all the information for us to get our rebates and that was a process, but it was very successful. Giving a review for an experience from back in July and today. July Appointment: I had received great service from Casper and Paul. Upon arriving, Casper was great in greeting and informing how long the wait would be. I actually had to come back a different day because I had gotten there 15 minutes late for my appointment and there was chance they wouldn't even be able to work on my car. Casper was really nice and transparent about everything. Paul was nice too. There was a little miscommunication about arrival of the tire order but everything got squared away and Paul was kind and got my car taken care of. The reason I give this Toyota only 4/5 stars is because it's always short-staffed and overbooked. Every time i am here, the cars are backed up into the parking lot waiting to be checked in. I think the company Toyota needs to fix its scheduling to service less cars within the timeframe because this seems to be an ongoing issue. Today's Appointment: Jesus Lopez was really nice. Got everything I needed done quick and gave me good advice on what was best for my Rav4 hybrid. The service took about 2.5 hours and I got a courtesy Lyft ride home and back. I would definitely recommend Toyota for car service but warn whoever goes to be on time! because likely they are already backed up from scheduling way too many car services. read more

He was very professional and gave great advice for a window sticker I had removed previously and needed to get cleaned up. Wait time was not overly long and cashiers were very warm and welcoming. Our time was wasted today. My family is in need of a car soon. An associate named Shemma made it seem like he was helping us then disappeared without letting my husband and I know that he was no longer wanting to help us. We declined other offers for help from more willing associates, while we patiently waited for him to come back. It would have been appropriate for the original sales associate to pass us off to another colleague, rather than allowing us to wait around unknowingly. The manager Kevin was very polite otherwise. However, if you have a sales associate that doesn't want to work it may be in your best interest to manage his left over clients when he decides he doesn't prefer to work with them. read more

Completed all the online paperwork and was informed the dealer would call me to discuss next steps. I live in Las Vegas, so began planning a fly and drive home trip. Received a call from the dealer, only to be told they won't sell to an out of state buyer. Can't tell you how frustrating this entire process was. This is a review for the service department. I used to own a Honda and would regularly get my car serviced there, and man they're making me miss having a Honda. I used to get out of there an hour tops. Not this place, Seems like every time I come here for an oil change I never leave before an hour. Today was probably the worst. I made an appointment for 11 am, got here at 10:50. And was told it would take 1 to 2 hours... 2 hours?? For a simple oil change. Well after 2 hours i messaged the service person, asking the eta and he says another 30 min. 30 min past and im still here. Mind you i messaged him stating I have an appointment at 2 pm to take my sick dad to his doctor's appointment. If my Highlander didn't have the Toyota care I would probably take it somewhere else. Now, really thinking about getting my services done at Blackstone Toyota from now on even though it's a further drive, but it would at least save me 3 hours of waiting I'm sure. read more

I've had nothing but a terrible experience with Toyota. Last year I went to Toyota with an APPROVED loan from my bank with an interest rate of 4.9% after Toyota told me I wouldn't get approved for anything less than 11.9%. I was trying to finance a used Chevy. Well they decided to reapply for a loan at my bank in my name and refused to allow me to use my initial loan approval saying it wasn't approved and that only their loan request was approved. Even though I was in contact with my bank, even at the dealership in-front of them, and they told me the dealership was lying. And that I had TWO loan approvals, the one I submitted and the one the dealership submitted. I wanted to use my bank loan approval so I could pay my car payment on the same app I pay all of my other bills. I needed a car, so I took the loan since it was essentially the same it just wasn't convenient. Now I have to use the Toyota financial app that HAS NOT let me login in about TWO months. And prior to that it conveniently doesn't let me log in until my payment is about to be due. After reading the apps reviews, it's like they want you to miss payments and are setting you up. What a scam. Secondly, the car they sold me had issues that resulted in me not even being able to drive the car within a matter of months. My mechanic told me he didn't even know they got the car to pass smog. All Toyota did was blame me, because im a female I must not know how to properly take care of my vehicles right? I should have ran when they continued to lie to me about my approved loan. I was in desperate need of a vehicle and they took advantage of me to trap me into financing with them. Like I said the app doesn't work, it's garbage. I would never recommend them to anyone. read more

If I could give a zero star I would. But help doesn't allow it. I brought my 2018 Toyota rav4 to get new tires. There was no issues with my car when I brought it in. The customer service rep Billy Vang called me a few hours later and said the tire pressure is broken on my car. To fix this it will be an additional $200. This came as a surprise to me because my tire pressure light was never on. I advised him my car had no prior issues, no tire pressure light was on or anything. He says the broken sensor looks to have been rolling around in my tires for some time, and because it's in there, there will be no light indication. I didn't feel comfortable with his response so I asked to speak with a supervisor. Supervisor James called me back and claimed the same thing. I advised him I've also spoken with my uncle who's worked on tires for 20+ years and he said The only way that a sensor can be broken is removing and installing a tire and you accidentally apply pressure on the back of the sensor that's when it will snap. I also asked him how come the light was not on if it was broke prior to them removing the tire. James goes on repeating what Billy already said. At this point it's their word against mine. I am also 8 months pregnant, and I don't have time to keep arguing my case. I've have also been reading online and it all says the same thing, that sensors get broken when removing and installing a tire. I am taking a loss on this now, but I will not be bringing my car to get service here again, and I will not be buying another car from this Clovis Toyota as I feel they did not take accountability for breaking the sensor but they want to claim it was broken prior to them removing it. Now I'm stuck with tire pressure light on my dash and will need to pay more money to get a new tire pressure sensor and get it reprogrammed to my car. Btw, I already spent $813.07 on 4 new tires. read more

We took my car in to get serviced at 8:30am with no appointment on Saturday. (Oil change and rotation on my tires) I pulled up and was greeted by Juan aka Carlos. He asked how I was doing today and what service did I come here for today in a polite manner. He took me to his desk, talk to me about the weather and our recent earthquakes. As he was pulling up my service history, he asked if I got this and that done. He recommended I get an engine and cabin filter replaced since I didn't get it done the last time. He broke down the prices of what I needed done and where I would be saving money. Then explained to me that on my next visit I would need a flush. If I waited, the cost could be more because I would need more things done and I definitely wanted to take care of my car. so my husband and I agreed to have the recommended services done. Carlos said everything would be done the same day around 12. As promised, my car was done a little after 12. I went back to Toyota to pay and pick up my car. There were two ladies at the counter. They were not friendly at all. One lady just looks up doesn't say anything (a little older in age). The other lady (younger) says she can help the next person in line. I walk up and I told her I'm here to pay and pick up my car. All she asked me was who helped me. I said Juan. She said, you mean Carlos? (Juan's name was on my paper) I showed her my paper, and she said that's Carlos. Now, I was getting irritated. She calls Carlos on the walkie talkie. She tell me balance, which I thought seemed higher than what I was told and asked her if the coupon for 15% off was applied. She said it didn't look like it so he called Carlos again on the walkie talkie. She gets up and walks away and doesn't say anything . I'm guessing she's looking for Carlos. She didn't tell me she was going to be right back or go look for Carlos or anyone.. she comes back tells me yes he already applied the discount. Carlos walks over to me and asked if I wanted a break down again. I said yes, because my bill seemed a bit high.. I go back to his desk and he breaks it down. He asked if that ok?? I said well, service is already done so I have to pay for it. He said he doesn't want me to feel uneasy. I said, "well, it's a bit too late for that because I thought my bill was going to be less. I said it's fine, I gotta go". He said, "he will take me back to the ladies to pay". I made a face, not understanding why I'm going back and forth. Carlos ends up saying he can help me with the payment instead of me going all the way back to the ladies. Overall, everything was great but the customer service when checking out. The ladies that were there were rude and weren't friendly. I think Carlos did a good job in taking care of what I needed done. I must have misunderstood or thought I heard a different price. I bought my car here in 2014 and have been coming 2 times a year for service. I will most likely continue to return to get services done for my car. read more

I scheduled an appointment last week for an oil change, truck is there now. They had the oil change for $60 after 2pm, great deal and that's why I set my appointment at 2pm. They said I could drop it off the day before the appointment (that didn't happen), so I ended up showing up 30min before my appointment and they voided the deal on me... they said it's because it's not 2pm (makes sense) so now I have to pay around 115-120. How was it ok to drop off my truck a whole 24hrs before and they'd honor the special, but not if I show up 30min early? It's busy in there too... I scheduled my work day around this appointment and dealership I could've gone to the one closest to me but instead I came all the way over here out of loyalty, ironic. read more

I had to take my wife's car diagnose cause it wasn't running after pressing on the gas.. I called them to set up a appointment. But someone just hung up on me after I was being on hold for 25 mins. I'm not gonna say they did that on purpose. Anyhow I drove there waited told the guy that I didn't had a appointment but would like to get my car checked.. he told me to wait and someone will talk to me shortly.. maybe 15 mins later guy named John Came.. and when I told him the reason why I wanted to get my car diagnose he told me like 10 reasons why my car might be running slow. And was trying tell me not to spend $175 on a diagnose.. so I told him that it's my wife's car and she drives around with our kids most of the time and I don't want her to be stuck on the road.. he told me that I'm gonna have to leave the car there over night. I said I don't have any problem with that. As long as her car will be fixed. In the evening I received the call from John told me that the reason it wasn't running right was cause there was a mat that stuck under the race paddle. He also told that they would like the look into abs box which will be additional $175 just to diagnose the abs and plus what they fix.. so I told him not to but to change the transmission oil. Which was for $185. So he said ok and he will let me know in the morning. At 7am I received the text that my car was ready. When I go there to pick up my car he told me that they did open up the abs and cleaned one of the sensor. But they did not charged me for it.. when I asked him if they changed the transmission oil he said they didn't do it.. John totally did the opposite of what I asked him to do.. read more

Im not one for giving bad reviews but this is the WORST dealer ship I have ever been to. The first guy I ran into had a major attitude and I thought maybe he was just having a bad day. Then the next 2 people had the same responses; Really short, not informative at all, would not look me in my eyes when talking to me. Very rude and snobby treated me as like I couldn't afford their services. Not to mention they would send me to this person to that person and all I needed was a simple lock replaced for my hood. They set me up 2 appointments I came the first day they couldn't fix it because they don't have the part so they ordered it and said come tomorrow for services. I called to make sure before driving down there and the guy says he doesn't know what to tell me its going to come Tuesday. If I could the parts/service department a 0 star rating I would. The staff are not friendly and when you arise your concerns to the Manager he treats it as it is not important. I was turned away from service after having an appointment due to be short on staff then after getting another appointment, I arrived to the second one only to find out that they over booked appointments and the job would take multiple hours to complete. This is by far the worst experience I've had and will no longer be taking my vehicles there for maintenance. I literally drive across town and now take it the Michael Toyota just because they treat their customers with great service and will definitely go over and beyond. Context: I have a 2016 Corolla and I have been coming here since summer of 2020 for every oil change and service since it is located so close to my house. A few weeks ago, I went here to get all 4 new tires and Billy was the person who specifically helped me. I waited for about 4 1/2 hours for my tires to be done and he told me that one of my pressure sensors was broken. He tried to put the blame on me and said that it was broken before they installed the new tires but the pressure light never came on before coming to get new tires. So I went home and called my cousin who works at toyota in sacramento and he informed me that this is common and sometimes the mechanic who is installing tires is careless and accidentally breaks the sensor but that usually they pay to repair it. No light popped up for me prior to this day of me getting new tires, but I went home and the TPMS light popped up on my dashboard RIGHT AFTER getting new tires installed.. How convenient huh... So I came back about a week later and I was forced to pay $400 for a new tire pressure sensor that I didn't even break. Keep in mind that I payed just over $1,000 for all 4 new tires already and now they are charging me even more money for something I didnt even break. Turns out that these mechanics are so untrained that they cant even replace a tire without damaging the tire pressure sensor attached to the tire. This is absolutely ridiculous. Im not sure if Billy is the person who was actually working on my car, but he was the one who I spoke with when I pulled up to the service line at toyota of clovis. I would give 0 stars if possible. I've bought 3 cars here since 2004. The last car I purchased was back in 2018, and things have definitely changed from great to terrible. I filled out the online survey with Costco Wholesale Auto Buying Program and that's when my experience went from bad to worse. I had 4 different sales people contacting me to come into the dealership within 48 hours. I went to the dealership on a Saturday to speak with the authorized Costco Sales Representative and was told that "michelle is here but was not available." I ask the sales representative "what should I do?" He said "I can help you, what are you looking for today?" I said "A 2023 Toyota 4Runner TRD Off Road Premium." He begins to show me a 2024 4Runner right off the bat. He then comes back with a quote for a 2024 4Runner and I see the cost and lack there of Costco Discount and then proceed to ask "Okay, now how much is a 2023 4Runner? He responds by saying "the 2023 4Runners are the same price as the 2024 4Runners." I ended up walking out and called around and found a Toyota Dealership that offered an exceptional Costco discount on a 2023 4Runner and the customer service was excellent. Toyota of Clovis....What happened to your honesty and transparency? You were amazing back in 2018, and now you transformed into a sleazy run of the mill car dealership.
