Wonderful, relaxing and delicious end to a busy prom evening. After a frenzied afternoon of getting my niece and her friends ready for prom, my sister and I drop them off at their restaurant and stopped in at Tre Pizzeria to have some much-needed quiet time for ourselves to refuel before we head to pick them back up. I pulled up my trusty Yelp app and found them nearby and I'm so happy that we stopped in. The restaurant wasn't too packed or busy, the location was perfect and the ambience was super cute and had a chill vibe. We started our meal with some much needed cocktails, I ordered the basil mojito and my sister opted for a cold blue moon. As a starter we got the caccio'e pepe deviled eggs, drizzled in truffle oil and topped with pecorino Romano cheese and fresh cracked black pepper. These were absolutely delicious and we quickly devoured them. For the main we decided on the Italian meatball and wild mushroom pizza, they are made in a cast iron pan and so I couldn't wait to try it. The meatballs were tender and super flavorful and because the pie is cooked in a cast iron it made the crispiest crust. As far as the wild mushrooms, they really just look like basic button mushrooms, maybe baby portabellas but it didn't seem like there were any other varieties present. Overall I highly recommend Tre Pizza if you find yourself in Boerne, you won't be disappointed.

Service was great and pizza tasted good. I ordered the pepperoni and the Bianca pizzas. The pepperoni with jalapeños was amazing and the Bianca tasted good as well. The only thing is there were very little red peppers on the Bianca pizza. Other than that, the place was well decorated!

My sister and I came here for some much-needed relaxation and a drink while we waited for my daughter and her group of friends to have their prom dinner five minutes away. It wasn't very busy, we were able to get a good table inside, but close enough to the edge of the patio that we could feel the wonderful evening breeze. We each ordered a drink and shared the deviled eggs, which were absolutely to die for! I've never had such a delicious deviled egg, I regret not going back and ordering a second one. We also ordered a simple pizza, absolutely perfect! The crust was nice and thin, and the toppings were evenly distributed. The dining area is nice and spaced out so you don't feel like you're sitting on top of people, it was a very nice relaxing atmosphere, at least at the time that we were there. It's a great place to enjoy some good food, relax, and unwind.

We came here on a Saturday around 1:30. There was some kind of motorcycle or exotic car show at the plaza across the street, but parking wasn't bad. There is a decent amount of street parking all around and a few small parking lots. There is some outside seating and a couple of indoor dining rooms. There was a small line that went pretty quick and you order at the counter. At the counter, you grab your own ice water, utensils, and napkins. It was a really nice day, so they had the garage style doors open. We got the "Extra Fancy" pizza and it was delicious and more than enough for two. The staff was great and checked on us multiple times even though we didn't have a dedicated server

The pizza was quite tasty, but the crust was too crispy for my liking. I know it's flatbread but... it was like a stale cracker. The ingredients tasted good though, I would have liked more sauce on the pizza as well. The staff was nice and the vibe was chill. The food wasn't good enough for me to go back though.

This new restaurant downtown is a great add to the Boerne scene. We have done take out from here twice and have been extremely happy with each dish we've ordered. The menu is unique and the dishes are full of flavor! In terms of service, both times we've ordered, our food was ready within a reasonable amount of time, 10-15 min, and the servers/wait staff were pleasant and respectful. The restaurant didn't change the great ambiance from the previous owner, and by leaving the garage style doors, the venue really opens up onto Main Street, giving it a 1950's auto worker garage feel in a great way. Bottom line, try the pasta dishes, especially the bolognese or the roasted chicken orecchiette, and don't walk away without ordering the grilled goat cheese sandwich. The pizza is great too especially if you want a little kick!

We have patronized several of Jason Dady's San Antonio restaurants. This includes the original Tre Restaurant formerly on Broadway. Tre Pizzeria in Boerne, Mr. Dady's recent venture, is by far his most casual dining endeavor. The counter service format is complimented by a friendly and helpful staff. The pasta is tasty, and reminds you of other Dady dishes. Unfortunately, the pizza was forgettable. Akin to flatbread, the red sauce lacked flavor, and the cheese added little to the taste. Ironically, skip the pizza at the pizzeria, and dive into the hand pulled mozzarella and pasta. Cheers!

Chef Jason Dady's (Tre Trattoria, Range, Two Bros. BBQ, Jardin) new pizza concept opened unexpectedly during a most conspicuous event: the recent solar eclipse! I was not foolish enough to brave the congested streets of Boerne whilst the small town was besieged by international interlopers of the eclipse-gazing variety, so I waited a week for Boerne to return to some sense of normalcy. Having been a fan of Tre Trattoria on Broadway back in the day, I knew more or less what to expect: house-made mozzarella cheese, fresh pastas, an assortment of antipasti, and Chef Dady's signature cast iron-griddled flatbread pizzas. I also knew in advance that I would love everything on the menu. Tre Pizzeria serves as a more casual extension of Tre Trattoria's culinary vision, offering a vibrant, open-air atmosphere perfect for a relaxed yet delightful experience. I began with the burrata with pear mostarda. The creamy burrata, a fresh Italian cheese with a soft center, melted in my mouth. The accompanying pear mostarda, a sweet and tangy Italian condiment of candied fruit, was a delightful counterpoint, creating an explosion of flavors with every bite. This appetizer is a testament to Dady's commitment to crafting dishes that are simple, plated beautifully, and bursting with flavor. The star of the show, however, is undoubtedly the pizzas. Tre Pizzeria specializes in cast iron-griddled flatbread pizzas, resulting in a unique crust that is both crispy and slightly chewy. The "Extra Fancy" flatbread is a must-try. This pizza is a symphony of flavors, featuring paper-thin slices of Italian "salumi" (cured meats), homemade mozzarella, roasted red onions, mushrooms, and banana peppers for a touch of acid. The magic lies in the cast iron griddle. This cooking method imbues the pies with a smoky flavor and cracker-crisp crust unlike any other pizza I've had in San Antonio. Chef Dady's signature dessert, the decadent Nutella X3, is another holdover from Tre Trattoria. I'm glad he brought this dessert over to Tre Pizzeria, as it's been a favorite of mine for over a decade. It's essentially a dense Nutella tart coated in Nutella fudge and a generous scoop of Nutella mousse. With this review, I believe I've used the word "Nutella" more times in a single paragraph than anyone in the history of the written word. Bravo to me! While the food shines at Tre Pizzeria, a misstep occurred with the service. The initial runner brought my entree sans napkins and silverware, requiring a request for these basic necessities. Similarly, the dessert arrived without a fresh fork, with the suggestion to simply reuse the one from my burrata course. I realize the staff are new, but no diner should ever have to request fresh silverware between courses. I overheard several other patrons asking for silverware and napkins, so mine was not an isolated incident. Despite the service issues -- which I would expect management to address immediately should they read this review -- Tre Pizzeria is a welcome addition to Boerne, a town fast becoming a culinary mecca. The combination of Chef Dady's culinary vision, fresh ingredients, and unique cast iron-griddled pizzas makes it a worthy destination. P.S. Super great fabulous pizza flat crust and superior toppings. At grand opening weekend line out door so came back later for take out another week. Great location in Boerne but parking 2-3 blocks away unless you're lucky. Not sure there was handicapped spot? Surely there must be one but we didn't see it or it was full. Not a large franchise but heard there was another in downtown San Antonio. read more

Rachel and visited Tre for the first time since they opened last Monday afternoon. Monday afternoon at 4:00 pm is not traditionally a time one would expect to see a restaurant at its best, which is another reason why our visit and meal was super enjoyable. First, we're club volleyball friends of the Dady's, and are excited to see them doing something here in Boerne. We are particularly fans of Tre Trattoria and Two Bros BBQ - two of their SA restaurants. We split a large Italian salad; the burrata; and the Italian meatball and wild mushroom pizza. Salad was very fresh and tasty; burrata was our personal afternoon favorite; and the pizza was also extremely good and tasty. Can't wait to go back! I don't take the time to leave many reviews - must be one extreme or other - great or terrible - to qualify. Great job, Dady's and welcome to Boerne! read more

Absolutely delicious high-level pizza. The deliciousness is not limited to the excellent flavor balance (sweet san marzano tomatoes, generous smattering of salty cheese charred in all the right places, heavy garlic, and fresh pieces of basil), but this pizza is also a textural sensation -- crunchy at the edges and softer in the middle. What I really appreciated is that I didn't feel like the Pillsbury Dough Girl after eating it. Also, the unsweetened iced tea was exactly what an iced tea should be -- no weird flavors like passionfruit, but straight up black tea with crushed ice. Service was also warm and helpful, and the restaurant has a very cool laid back garage style going for it with bright red framed doors that roll up into the ceiling for a bringing-the-oudoors-in type of experience. I'm new to the area, I tried this place out. It is pretty good. My wife loved the pasta and their pizza was great. I think the pizza was a corn meal base/flour with a thin bread crust. Seems to be the prevailing style out here in hill country. I heard whispers that it is cooked in a cast iron pan which explains why the crust was the way it is. I will say the manager here made a bad situation right. Little accident resulted in over an hour wait when they were not busy. She took the time to make it right, and did way more than she needed to. Ordered a 10-inch pizza for $15. Pizza tasted like a frozen pizza out of the oven. The roasted golden beets were overcooked, mushy, and bland. A 4 Oz pour of wine at best was $11. This so-called Italian restaurant is a long way from Italy. For the price point and food quality this trey pizzeria is a miss! Will not be back. read more

Came here for early dinner Saturday of Memorial Day weekend. Wasn't busy and was greeted right away to order. Ordering was quick and easy and found a table right away. Place has a sewer smell so was not very pleasant, especially for a restaurant. We had bruschetta and a flatbread and both were good overall. Main issue here was the two shaggy hair guys are very rude. Guy with blonde hair seems nice enough. The lady was very nice. Overall there's better places and pizza in Boerne. read more

VERY expensive for what it is. Small portions and mediocre pizza. The deviled eggs were not good at all. I truly wanted to spit it out after I took a bite. It was a soft boiled egg, cut in half, topped with a dollop of mayonnaise, piled high with cheese and then dowsed in pepper. Pizza sauce was bland and crust was tough, not crispy like we were hoping. Will not return. Wish we would have gone to Z's but wanted to try the newer place in town. read more

Met up with friends here for an early dinner on Monday night around 5:30 and there was only one person in line. You order at counter and immediately pick up your drinks, utensils from a tin bucket (we missed that), and condiments. Servers bring your food as it is ready so just understand it isn't served to the table all at the same time. We had a nice variety of appetizers, salads, pizza and pasta and enjoyed everything. They have great packaging for your leftovers. The one star deduction isn't really a knock against them for anything they can control, it's simply due to the garage doors up allowing an influx of flies. Hard to give 5 stars when you had to shoo flies away the entire time. I will still return, food and service were both good. Sorry I didn't get pictures! read more

The staff is friendly, the pizza is ok. We ordered a Margherita and an Italian meatball and wild mushroom pizza. The margherita pizza was tasty but both pizzas were not cut consistently and some slices were square while some were triangular. The crusts from both were also inconsistent in flavor. The meatball pizza was good, but no mention in the description of onions and there are PLENTY on this pizza. So if you are not an onion fan, be warned. read more

I would agree with another reviewer that my first visit for take out was stunningly good (on a night where Jason Dady was in the kitchen.) The second visit, again for takeout was just off--the grilled goat cheese appetizer and golden beets were great, but our Meatball/mushroom flatbread pizza and chicken orchietta pasta were over-salted to the point of being unpleasant tasting. The pizza dough was tough and burnt on the edges and underdone in the middle and the topping were very sparse. We are fans of Tre Trattoria and desperately want this outpost to succeed, but with the young and inexperienced talent pool in Boerne, it's going to take a watchful eye and firm hand to ensure that Tre Pizzeria meets expectations... read more

I cannot believe I didn't get any food pics from our lunch! Was so excited to try this upon hearing of the closing of blacksmith. The location is obviously prime right at the corner on main. We decided to try it out Saturday while out and about with our newborn. There was the car show going on so tons of foot traffic and they looked steady busy! We sat on the patio so we had plenty of room for the stroller. Oh. My. GOODNESS. The Burrata was out of this world AMAZING. We're going back tomorrow because I have to have it again and they're closed Tuesday's Seriously the BEST Burrata I have ever had. My husband and I tried 2 different pizzas and each had a ranch water. The pizzas were so flavorful and crust was perfect. Absolutely nothing tasted pre packaged / premade or out of a can, everything tasted so authentic. Ranch waters also did not disappoint! Service was swift and all staff members were friendly and helpful! So excited for this gem to join the Boerne culinary scene and hope the offer a bunch card on the Burrata's read more

Meet the Business Owner: Jason D.

Chef Dady, alongside his brother, Jake Dady, and wife, Crystal Dady, debuted the first of the “Dady Family of Fare” with The Lodge in 2001, a restaurant which spearheaded the fine-dining scene in San Antonio. To make matters worse, we were charged $69 per person for this hot breakfast buffet. Our total bill excluding a tip for four people was $340. I would NEVER return to this restaurant, and I would never recommend it to anyone.

I've been to this restaurant a handful of times and I've always gotten the same thing, but I have no doubt everything is delicious. They also have a cocktails and beer. Parking is behind the restaurant and there isn't a lot of it. They also have patio seating in the back. We got there right when they opened and it was getting busy right away. You can enter from the front and back. Only small negative is that they have tile floors and metal chairs, so it gets very loud and hard to hear the busier it gets.
