Been here a dozen times after the initial experience and they really do have some incredible Japanese Sandwiches. My favorites by far are the Miso Katsu and the Pork Cutlet followed by the Shrimp Cutlet. The cutlets are perfectly juicy and crispy at the same time, the sauces are delicious and the bread is simply perfect. Some of the others from the meat zone are nice too but after trying most, these are my go-to orders. For those looking for non-meat options, the veggie croquette and the potato croquette are both really nice, the egg salad is outstanding (in all it's variations) and the caprese is not bad. I've always been skeptic of the sweet sandwiches but the one time I actually tried the strawberry, red bean and matcha cream sandwich and it was incredible. Highly recommended for breakfast/brunch especially to grab and go for picnics in the park. read more

I love the sandwiches at TRES Sandwich house. Their katsu sandwiches are incredible. For the spice lovers, try their fire chicken sandwich. If you are feeling adventurous, try their yakisoba sandwich! For dessert, check our their strawberry sandwiches or my favorite, their black sesame sandwiches. They do sell out early, so go early. I arrived early afternoon to find the small place fairly empty. That changed very quickly after I sat down I asked for recommendations and I ended up trying the Miso Katsu sandwich. Getting a TRES sandwich is such a treat. Honestly, the sandwiches look underwhelming and super simple but holy cow are looks deceiving. Each one is perfectly crafted and a complete flavor bomb with a great bread-to-filling ratio. Also, the fluffy soft asian style white bread is so yummy! I will say that they don't spread the fillings all the way out to the end but I don't mind, I don't feel like the filling is lacking. Tres is a fun little sandwich shop that is great for a quick pop in. It is cafeteria style where you pick from whatever sandwiches they have ready at the time and get in and out quickly. Their selection is going to be based on whatever is still available, so you will have to be flexible with your choices as the popular stuff sells out quickly. The sandwiches themselves are surprisingly good. The sandwich seems like something that is a pretty mundane and solved dish, but these are just a bit off the wall from traditional lunchbox faire. Their savory sandwiches have a bit of sweetness to them that puts them apart from others, and their fruit sandwiches are straight up desserts. One thing to note is that they are assembled and "plated" in a way to make them look much more stuffed than they are. This may seem disappointing when you first open them, but squishing it so that the filling spreads more evenly is still plenty to make the sandwich feel substantial. I would definitely recommend picking up more than one, as a single one may not leave you satisfied, and you can always save the second for later. They are also pretty cheap, only clocking in at around $5 per. Overall a cheap and cheerful little shop with great eats for the go. read more

Perfect for a grab and go lunch, or even as a fun fast breakfast. Located in the corner of a random shopping mall, it's very hard to miss, so I feel obliged to get the word out about what a unique gem this place is. Sandwiches like this are popular in Japan but nearly impossible to find here. I haven't found any location like this before or since discovering Tres. I've been buying these sandwiches from Uwajimaya for months now and I'm glad I was able to visit the original store! It's amazing how many different options there are! I made the mistake of going too late in the day (almost near closing) so there weren't many options left. I was able to snag some delicious Miso Katsu and Teriyaki sandwiches. I realize the put a bit of butter on their delicious Japanese bread. Butter certainly makes things better. I'd really love to come here in the morning, prior to lunch to see their full selection. Been wanting to go for awhile and was finally able to come today. I have to say this is such a cool store with a simple concept with tons of selection. Customer service was good. Only lacking is that we didnt know all the vegetarian ones that has cucumber needs to be ordered online. So only ended up getting the sweet ones. The taste is great but not the best because the toasts were dry. Overall, would stop by if im in the neighborhood. Hope to try their vegetarian ones with cucumbers next time. There were so many sandwich options -- both sweet and savory -- but I stuck with my favorite sandwich from my Japan trip, the pork cutlet sandwich (~$5.50). They did an amazing job. The sandwich was really delicious and filling. I want to try more flavors now! The service was friendly and quick. I want to try them alllll. $18 for 3 sandos: PORK KATSU (5/5) Crunchy, thick pork katsu and creamy kewpie lingering taste. We were horribly disappointed with the pork katsu sandwich and have been noticing that the meat is getting significantly smaller since a year ago. The display of the meat looks decent but once you open the sandwich, the meat barely covers half of the sandwich and the lettuce is even sadder looking. Sandwich House Tres was one of our fav food stops during our recent Seattle trip. It's a humble shop with the friendliest workers, but their sandwiches are mighty little pockets of joy! They use Asian / Japanese toast so it's more "cottony" and less airy than normal supermarket bread. They have sweet and savory versions packaged in easy-to-rip-open packaging that make them great for hikes and picnics! Our favorites were the Loco Moco and Miso Katsu (which is pretty sweet!) and then Oreo + Strawberry for the sweet. Sweet versions consist of mostly fluffy whipped cream. They run out of choices pretty quickly, so go in early or order online the day before. What a great place to grab some Japanese sandwiches, i'm a fan! I was instantly intrigued upon discovering this place on Yelp and they delivered on those expectations! The place is a hole in the wall in a small plaza, they are more of a grab and go place, the dining area is very limited. We came here to grab some breakfast before our drive into the city. I tried the TRES special and Shrimp Cutlet sandwiches and they were great! They have a variety of sandwiches to choose from and it was hard to pick, definitely took me a few minutes to decide. The sandwiches are also fairly priced, pretty cheap if you ask me. In the end, I wished I bought a couple more sandwiches. This place has been on my list for a while now. I finally got my lazy butt up early to grab their popular items before they get sold out. Arrived around 9:10 am and already the cases looked a bit sparse. But some of the ones I wanted were still available - Yay!! I got the Miso Katsu, Pork Cutlet, Teri-tama, Strawberry custard cream, and the egg salad! I rushed to work and immediately tried the Miso Katsu - let me just say - I think I died a little and went to bread heaven. That bread was fluffy soft and the contrast of soft then crunch from that Katsu was absolutely mind blowing! And the Miso sauce was not overwhelming either - really well balance. The entire sandwich was very simple and I felt extremely satisfied - not full - but satisfied. The kind of satisfaction where you say to yourself, "Damn, nothing can beat that flavor right now so I'm just gonna stop eating." But eventually, I got to the other items and they were mostly very delicious. My dad enjoyed the pork cutlet and my mom was in love with the strawberry custard cream. I have to admit though that the Teri-tama was just ok - so I will skip that item next time. The miso katsu was quite meaty--a little sweet with a bit of crunch from the panko breading (a nice contrast with the soft bread) but I did think it was a bit one-note. Fried cod was exactly what you'd expect from a fried fish sandwich, except cold. One and a half sandwiches filled me up! Anyway, I liked my sandwiches but I didn't think they were anything particularly special. They also offer free bags of crusts/ends for customers--kudos to them for not being wasteful! I've tried a good number of different items, but my favorite has been the Egg Salad and Veggie Croquette. However, I recommend trying all of them! I don't think you can go wrong. I think it's hilarious that you can also grab crusts if you'd like in a clear container off to the side. I personally love how these sandwiches are crust-free. I am sad to say that I only discovered Tres recently. It sells classic Japanese style sandwiches, so very different from American or British sandwiches, but great in their own way. This is a small retail store with very friendly staff and a wide variety of sandwiches, most of which you have likely not had before unless you have lived in Japan. The bread is high quality white, crusts cut off. There are lots of asian fillings, but also things you will recognise. And there are dessert sandwiches with strawberries and Oreos (not my thing). Was looking for a quick and easy lunch as breakfast had been a bit heavy and was looking for a big dinner meal. After a quick search around the Bellevue side, I found this Japanese sando place and was hooked on it. I love good Japanese sandos and it brings me fond memories of all of my trips to japan and the shinkansen where they sell katsuo sando boxes. Made my way over at around 10:30. There is a big parking lot so no problems there. This place had a line and I got the sense hearing other folks talking that it seems like there is usually a line for this place. The store itself is not big hence the line outside and they have all the sandos in a display case for people to pick and choose. The ladies working the desk were efficiently and friendly and take out a try and wait for the customers to fire off their order and quickly place all of them in the basket to get them cashed out. I was only buying for myself and one other person so was originally going to order 2.. but then all the folks around me were ordering multiples (like more than 4- 5) so I got looped into the hype of wanting it all. I ordered the miso katsu, the pork katsu, the tres special and the egg wrapped in ham. Each of these sandos were good. Solid ingredients. The white bread was absolutely soft and fluffy and on point. The katsu's both of them were good in their own right. The pork katsu had a bit of mustard to it adding a bit of kick while the miso was the sweeter flavors. The pork itself was not fatty but was solid. The egg salad here is delicious. Good flavors and texture so once more another plus. I loved the variety of the sandos and will be looking to try the "Sweet ones" at some point as well. The flavors were definitely close to all the Japanese sandos ive had in japan so it hit a bit of nostalgia for me as well. Definitely solid joint. Also keep your eye out for the bag of sando crusts that are free and next to the register. They may have them and it may be worth the pick up if you cant get enough! Uff I loved them :) Strawberry is my favourite. although green tea and beans aren't far from it neither :D super soft and silky to the taste. Not that sweet. Feels like a cake but not that sweet. Just perfect balance. Fresh. Crispy chicken is the other one you should try. I think they were pricey. The were out of the strawberry but I waited. Super glad I did. I guess they want them to be fresh because they taste better but driving to this location might not be that easy for some customers. So keep this in mind.
