We moved out of the area a little bit, and have not gone here much over the last 10 years. We went last night for my birthday, and as it has always been, the food was fabulous. The service was excellent. The prices are a little higher, obviously to be expected. But the value for the money? Exactly the same. It was wonderful, and I'm so happy. My kids decided we should go there for my birthday. And when I re-introduced myself to the owner, not only did she remember us, but she remembered that we also have a son, who no longer lives near us. Just a wonderful wonderful experience. read more

I grew up in a neighborhood with lots of Italian families and even worked at an award winning Italian restaurant. We have been in the area for 3+ years and tried a dozen different Italian restaurants. I finally found one with food like the Nonnas used to make for me. Even my retired Chef husband was impressed. The staff (especially Brian) were fantastic. My food allergy was not an issue because everything is fresh and made to order. Water glasses were never empty and they brought more flat bread so I could sop up the sauce. We tried the Penne Senato and the Tortelloni Romano. We added a petite Pere e Gorgonzola salad. It was perfect for the two of us to share. The Tiramisu we took home was heavenly. We will be back. So many more things on the menu to try! read more

I was craving pasta after watching this scene in Equalizer 3 where these mafiosos are chowing down on some spaghetti & meatballs in Southern Italy, as they were plotting to execute Denzel Washington's character. Good movie by the way! We arrived at Tresino by chance...a nearby establishment had a 30 minute wait so we bounced to try this place not more than a minute away. Immediately we felt welcomed as if it were somebody's home. They sat us in 5 minutes despite the packed house! We noticed the greeters and servers were warm and attentive. The atmosphere was traditional -- brown leather booths, a wine bar and multiple flat screens, yet modern due to the low-fi trendy house music keeping it bustling and vibey enough even for my 17 year old to approve. So far so good! And the food! We got our juices going with the calamari fritti and flat bread for the table, and some peronis to cleanse the palate. The calamari was delightfully crunchy and the lemon and marinara sauce was a bright, rich accompaniment. I ordered the linguine tradizionali and the noodles were perfectly cooked (not a second too long); the sauce was a magical tomato-basil-garlic fusion that exploded with aroma and flavor that literally smacked my senses on multiple fronts, delightfully served hot & fresh off the pan; and the meatball was so money I regretted not ordering two. Endorphins were spiking! Freshly grated Parmesan, don't mind if I do! My daughter ordered the linguine alle vongole - one of her go tos! To say she loved it hardly approaches the real feeling of complete and utter satiation she experienced with every bite, slurp and chew. The dish was a little spicy-- but that's okay, spice lives and flourishes here. The white wine sauce was light yet savory, and provided a heavenly respite for the restful bed of celestial clams. A succulent synergy of cosmic proportions. Finally, the spumoni. Amazing how food can trigger feel good chemicals like they do. Reflecting on our trip to Italy just 4 years ago, the spumoni brought us back ...and as we closed our eyes we were gently transported to the streets of Trastevere, Rome where seeking a nightly scoop of gelato was instinctual, requiring no thinking at all, rather, merely doing what comes natural (see The Pleasure Principle). We tell the server we are ready and we order a bottle of wine at $48.00 and two entries, I ordered the beef ravioli because I love the sauce? The server tried to upsell me by adding sausage" then said the most peculiar thing? "most men like to add sausage" a bit of an insult maybe that I'm not like MOST MEN? The beef ravioli and mushrooms cream sauce are great and you want me to clash some greasy sausage in there too? Maybe if most men order it that way the menu should be changed to include the sausage and charge more then? See the up sale? So we tell her entree and wine and now it's hey ? what about an appetizer and a salad? No we replied, but how about some bread! No response ! manager owner brings wine and food runners brings entries pretty quick no bread? We ask food runner? Sever not interested in that job of handing out free bread, that doesn't add to the ticket or tip in her mind? The lasagna my girl ordered, she said seemed really weird? So after my ravioli was finished I tasted? The red sauce was so completely sweet? Someone cut the tomato sauce with completely too much sugar to cut the acid of the red sauce! Did someone taste that sauce before it went into the lasagna? It's never been that sweet. So we finish and here comes up sale queen with a dessert menu and we promptly responded sorry no, we are good! And then we get the complete eye roll like we are not participating in her average check contest ? So my question is ? When is spending $ 110.00 with a 20 % tip which was a complete gift tonight for a marginal dinner experience not enough? Every time we have been here it's always decent service and ok food but the up sales is just too much we are done, never again, we will just keep going to the place on the other side of the road " Angelos" where they are happy to see ya and having a 5 course meal has never been suggested or asked or expected? We have been coming here for years, love the ambiance, BUT the food and service has been inconsistent! Tonight we ordered the small pear and Gorgonzola salad with warm chicken, and small cesar salad and a pepperoni pizza. The server was absent minded. We waited along time for our food, we could see our salads sitting on the counter, she went to grab them and bring them to us, but then changed her mind and left them there. When she walked by our table I asked if we could have our salads, she acted like I was crazy for wanting our salads without our pizza. It had already been about 45 minutes waiting. We started in our salads, the lettuce was old, the chicken was so dry I had to use my ice tea to wash it down. ‍....they finally brought the pizza, 45 minutes at least later, and it was burnt! My husband took a bite and said it was not edible. (We asked why it took so long, as it had been 1.5 hours once it was ordered, she said they have been having problems with the oven) She asked if we wanted to speak to the manager/owner, apparently she (the waitress) could not handle the obvious problem, it had to go thru the manager, who was sitting at the bar with her s/o, the waitress and manager went around the corner by the bathroom, I assume so the waitress could tell her what was going on...after about 10 minutes the waitress walked to the kitchen and the manager stopped and talked to "friends" with her s/o...she didn't care that she made us wait more while she socialized. Really? She seemed annoyed, and picked up pieces of the pizza to see if all the pieces were burnt. I also explained the chicken situation, she said did you tell your waitress? Omg, how about "I am so sorry you have had a bad experience" .....never really been a fan of this lady (the one with the hat) She said she would take the pizza off the bill, well I hope so, as it was not edible, and my salad.... Would it have been so hard to comp the Cesar salad and the ice tea and coke? Nope she charged us $17.30 for a side Cesar salad, ice tea and Coke. I left there so upset, we wasted 2 hours! For $17.30 they lost us as customers. (We have come here for birthdays, celebrations, work functions etc..) Horrible customer service!!! Done! read more

4 of us came for Wine Wednesday and had delicious app of burrata, dinners of pollo Verde, sausage pizza, and linguini marre. All were really delicious and our server Christi was great too! To go Sicilian Cheesecake was spot on. Odd what drove us was the 1/2 price wine and it was the only thing disappointing. Their red wines are not kept in temp control and was super warm. Kinda ruined a really good bottle. All in all we will definitely be back but may have to settle for white. read more

This was my former roommates' favorite Italian restaurant in the area, and I had accompanied them here before. Arrived on a Thursday night and was promptly seated. My server (Christina) helped me choose between two delicious sounding options and was pleasant and attentive without being overbearing. The special (Lanza di Maiale) took a while to come to the table but was tender and juicy. The owner (Cheryl) stopped by my table to make sure everything was going well. Overall, a very pleasant experience. Minor note: I would have preferred more variety instead of just broccoli. By no means a dealbreaker though. read more

Love this place because it's super close to my house. The gnocchi, Alfredo, tortellini and raviolis always hit the spot. I order one of those and my wife usually always gets a seafood item. Never any complaints about the food. Service is super friendly and for the amount of people that fit in this place they turn over orders pretty quick! When Tresino's first opened, years ago, we would go there often. The food was so good. However, the food declined, so we stopped going. We have tried it, here and there, over the years, hoping it was back to the way it used to be. Each time, we've been disappointed. This last time, my husband ordered the Linguini Vongole. He found a piece of metal in it. I attached a picture. Thankfully, he saw it and didn't eat it! I, always, order a risotto, which used to be so good and creamy. The last several times I've gotten it, it has not been creamy, but dry and starchy. This last time, was the worst. We give up. Not going back. read more

I'm really scratching my head on how this place is getting so many 5 star reviews. The food we received was around the quality of an Olive Garden if not worse. We started with two Old Fashioned which tasted great but we're served in a warm glasses which took away from the drink some (FYI- they have no pricing for the cocktails on the menu so if your wondering they were $15 each). The Caesar salad was very good but after this the meal kind of went downhill. We ordered two of the most basic dishes- Fettuccine Alfredo and Linguine w/ red sauce and a side order of two meatballs. First off, the Alfredo sauce was watery and milky with a very odd flavor. It was so bad we sent it back. For the meatballs, it's really stretching the concept by still calling theses MEAT balls. They were probably 70 to 80% breading, and we're small, stiff, dry and not one bit of meat flavor. It is probably up there with the worst meatball I've ever had. To make it worse they're served ala carte and cost $4.50 each. The pasta on both dishes were undercooked for our liking. The red sauce on the linguine was way to sweet for my liking. Needless to say it was a pretty disappointing meal. read more

I've been a customer of this amazing restaurant for many years. The food is consistently great as well as the customer service. Everything I've tried on the menu has been 5 stars. The staff is always welcoming, friendly and helpful. I love everything from the lunch menu to the dinner menu, my husband and I always leave feeling like we had a wonderful date night. The food is so fresh! The pasta dishes taste like what you'd expect from an excellent restaurant. The afternoon menu has some of the best sandwiches and salads I've ever eaten. We went to Tresinos for dinner on 3/8/25. The food and service were great as usual. My wife and I were enjoying our evening and finishing our glasses of wine. An older gentleman came up to our table and asked if we enjoyed our dinner. We told him we did and he picked up our wine glasses and walked away. My wife still had several sips of wine left in her glass. It was upsetting and rude. We felt like the guy was telling us to leave. We did not stay for an unreasonable amount of time and there were still parties that were still that were seated when we arrived. As we walked out we saw the waiting area was full. We understood we were no longer welcome. We frequent Tresinos but we go to Anthony's more. I can tell you that would have never happened at Anthony's. I guess that's where we go from now on. Ambiance is great, service good but it was a busy night and working a lot of tables so took them longer than normal to refill drinks and second round. Some of the pasta dishes my guests (live in Italy) had looked fine, good portions but they were not too impressed with the taste profile, especially the tomato sauce. I ordered one of the pizzas. Limited choices and the one we wanted that we saw on Yelp was not available. We detest sausage on a pizza so that narrowed the choices. Can't believe they don't offer a white pizza!! Tresino's is one of my wife's favorite restaurants for a date night. The many times we have visited, the experience has always been enjoyable. Unfortunately, tonight was unpleasant. Our table was tended to quickly and the drinks didn't take too long to arrive. But once our order was taken, the waitress didn't return to check on us. I watch her address the larger nearby table multiple times as my water stayed empty for nearly 30 minutes. When she finally came with our food, she used the excuse our meals were packaged for togo and that's why they were delayed. My wife's pasta appeared to have been sitting a while, but the meals were tasty as usual even though I continued to eat with an empty glass of water. There was a nice gesture of offering free deserts but I decided to pay the $100 bill and go home. I plan on returning with the expectation of a better experience. Till next time... read more
