Love this place for post workout treats. Lucky for us this location is mile and half from our house. They are always working hard and fast here. No matter how long the line. The waits are always reasonable. They have to many drinks to brag about what we get here. Just know, none are bad to us.

I love tropical smoothie. It is close to my house, great offers in the app and today I have a free smoothie as part of t mobile Tuesday. So many customization options it's hard to get bored. The staff is friendly and helpful.

We went all day without eating while shopping for our home so we decided to stop here for a quick bite to eat. The teenage staff were very nice and were handling the drive-thru and the inside register just fine. I got the Chicken Chorizo Wrap (chicken chorizo, rice, black beans, smoked cheese blend, crispy southwest tortilla strips, romaine & creamy avocado dressing, toasted flour tortilla) and a Chicken Chorizo 'Dilla (chicken chorizo, roasted pineapple salsa, queso blanco, cheddar & smoked cheese blend in a pressed flour tortilla, roasted tomato salsa on the side) simply because it sounded really good. I also got a Blimey Limey (strawberry, pineapple, orange juice & lime) with an edible lime straw. Both were really good but if I had to choose one over the other I'd say the 'Dilla was better, probably because of the mixture of flavors, sweet and smoky, cheesy with a mild spice. The smoothie was also goot. Definitely just what I needed right then and there.

Tropical Smoothie Cafe was one of my favorite places to visit in my JAX days past. I made my first visit to one since coming back to JAX over the weekend and from the moment I stepped in, hearing the loud grinding noises of the mixers, the large crowd inside and the cars at the drive thru, I felt like nothing had changed! It was a joy to see! But the ultimate test would soon come after tasting my favorite smoothie - the açaí berry boost! I practically lived on those a few years ago! Well, I will say here that the employees were very courteous, patient, and saw to it that our needs were met. I was comfortable taking my pics for this review and the smoothie and two other items from our order arrived pretty quickly. I will say that my açaí berry boost was AWESOME! It was balanced and mixed perfectly! (I had protein for an add-in.) There were zero little icees in it. Also, the chicken chipotle flatbread and green dream bowl were certainly just as well-made as the smoothie was. It kind of felt like those times past. I can say that for a large shop, there isn't as much seating area as you would expect. The counter and food prep area take up a lot of space, along with the drive thru slot by the window area opposite the cashier side of the counter. The tables and chairs are all metal, so that may be a hindrance on the comfort side for some. But I can say we were fully impressed and happy with our experience on this day. Of course, I'm planning more visits to these TSC outlets in the days to come! Recommend: HIGH

Always a pleasure. My daughter has gotten into smoothies lately. She seems to be a fan of Tropical Smoothie. She likes the Jetty. I switch my smoothies out since they stopped selling my favorite. (Strawberries and peach) You can never go wrong with the Southwest burrito. It is my all time favorite. We tried the strawberry chia lemonade today. Not too shabby, we will definitely order this one again. Staff is always friendly. Beware though the drive-thru is always insane and the parking situation is not the most desirable. I am not penalizing them because they do a great job with the service and food is always consistent and good.

My husband and I always love a good smoothie and we have tried a ton of places but none of them hit home the way tropical smoothie does! Even my 2 year old son love tropical smoothie and we get him a child size smoothie. On the weekends, when we run errands with our little one we grab a smoothie to go to keep our energy going and our bellies full. These smoothies are the equivalent of a meal. My go to smoothie is "Hawaiian Breeze" which consististe of pineapple and oranges with yogurt. This item is no longer on the menu but my absolute favorite. My husband likes to switch it up between "Mango Magic" which consists of mango, pineapple and orange topped with yogurt or he gets "peaches and silk" which consists of peaches and yogurt. This will continue to be a staple in our weekend routine.

I wanted a healthier option for lunch today so decided to try their sandwiches. I wasn't disappointed with the chicken pesto Flatbread. Tasted really fresh and good. Line is always wrapped around the building.

When my pizza came out with the cheesy goodness overflowing everywhere (not complaining ), the employee walked it out to me, showed me what happened, apologized, and said: "I wouldn't be happy giving you something I'm not proud of." Those might be the most romantic words I've ever heard. He made me a brand-new pizza at no charge and even let me keep the original one for the extra five-minute wait. I remember many nights running to grab pizza during my time in Manhattan and this place sort of reminded me of those days. Kinda simple and industrial, no frills. With family from the Bronx, I smiled when I saw a sign with their old stomping ground on it. We chose two slices each. I got the haymaker and butcher shop. While I was a little confused about Detroit-style pizza (not Grandma's) being at the Bronx HOP, I loved the haymaker. It was thick, sweet, and satisfying. The marinara sauce and bacon jam were a great combination. This is a place I'd visit again. Having slices available in this area again is great!

We started with Hummus and Tata Chips, which was crispy pita chips with a standard (but delicious) hummus. The Tata chips had great flavor, like Stacy's Pita Chips but better! The firat course was White Bean Fahsulia, which was a rich and hearty bean stew that packed huge flavor! Second course was Falafel with Tahini Sauce. These were a nice little bite between dishes. The center of the falafel was light, fluffy, and flavorful! Course 3 was Masaka-Ah served with Timan Asfur Rice. While this dish was good, it was my least favorite of the evening. I ate half of the stew and passed the rest off to my husband, who loved it! Course 4 brought us Dolma's served with Roasted Vegetables. I LOVE stuffed grape leaves and these were seriously on point! Tart and tangy up front followed by a whole lot of savory. Course 5, my favorite, was the Spicy Curry Chicken served with White Rice. This was the dish that made me fall in love with Fast Eddy's food and had me coming back for more. I took a couple bites and got a to-go container to enjoy this later at home. Finally, we reached the end of our dinner and Course 6, dessert, came out. Freshly made, sweet and decadent, traditional baklava. Filo dough, crushed walnuts, butter, and honey. This just melted away once it hit my mouth. I don't eat a whole lot of sweets but this had me closing my eyes and enjoying every bite. Every time I've visited Fast Eddy's the staff has been amazing, friendly, and hospitable. And of course, the place being completely decked out with rock and metal music memorabilia, i feel right at home here. Oh, and there's never a time where I leave that place without an order of the Pasta Anatoli to-go!

Eureka (I have found it)! Hollywood in Florida!!!!…read more JUST like Dr. Indiana Jones combing through the jungles seeking his ancient museum artifacts, I was navigating the curvy wilds of the Jacksonville Southpoint area, located near I-95 and JTB. The best things in life require some effort to build your appetite, and whereas I did not collect a golden idol like Dr. Jones, I was rewarded instead with a cheerful new friend and one of the absolute FRESHEST sandwiches in JAX! Nestled between the sparse woods and surrounding offices you will find happy, loyal diners who fill Hollywood Heroes and Subs each lunchtime to the point where the line stretches out the door. I had just seen the last of the lunch crowd smiling and saying goodbye for the day to our energetic and upbeat host, Founder, sandwich artist and Jacksonville native Kevin Porter, an actor turned restaurateur -- known for roles including "Lazer" in Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, plus appearances in Daredevil and General Hospital. Something that cannot be "acted" around was his genuine welcome and desire to roll out the red Hollywood carpet for all who make the journey (yes, it's a REAL red carpet)!! This sweet shop is the perfect size, and has a significant amount of Hollywood memorabilia all around to keep you engaged while chatting with Kevin as he works his magic. And what he produced was a treasure of cheese and meats that made me forget about whatever might have been chasing me through those woods to get there! J/K In between wonderful conversation with Kevin, each bite of my MASSIVE "The Towering Inferno" hot hero (pepperoni, Genoa salami, cappy and melted provolone) on fresh baked Village Bread made me realize just how huge and delicious this thing was. Kevin promised that the one pictured is exactly what every customer will get...he prides himself on highly generous portions at fair prices...and man, did he deliver!! I would have been completely satisfied with HALF, but NO!!!! There sat its twin, begging for sacrifice to the stomach Gods. I was only too happy to oblige! The owner Kevin = engaging, friendly, talented with his craft, makes you feel like you drove through the woods to come home to your happy place. The ambiance = bright, colorful, great memorabilia, puts you as the star of the show. The sandwiches = creative in name and product with fresh being the operative word, this sandwich hit above its price point and I can't wait to try to the rest of the menu! So no, I didn't get chased by a boulder, or leave with Dr. Jones' golden idol, but I did get a Golden Belly from my experience, and the knowledge of why hundreds of hungry lunch- goers seek this "Temple of Delish" every day!! Crack the whip and corral your family into the car for this absolute treat in the core of "ancient Jacksonville!!"
